I'm producing my third CD and am in need of rappers. My favorite MCs include Grand Puba, Del Da Funky Homosapien and, collectively, Arrested Development. My compositional style is in line with Beck (look up "hell yes" on youtube), Amon Tobin (look up "verbal" on youtube) and anything by Handsome Boy Modeling school.
IF YOU LIVE IN CHICAGO ... studio gear is waiting. All you have to do is show up.
IF YOU LIVE ANYWHERE ELSE ... you must have a decent recording setup. My requirements are 24-bit, 48khz recording, completely dry (no effects) with a good microphone. Anything short of this is of no use to me. I'll provide the groove track. You do your thing and then export the vocals.
You get liner credits next to every track you appear on as well as royalties. |

your style preference is out of date bro...that's probably why no one has responded. if you had said t.i. or t-pain you would have floods...i mean, ill rap for you but i have a problem with copyrighting and where and when ill get paid that kind of stuff. so i tend to keep to myself. try integrating a more modern feel into your music. then try. I gotta disagree with the your styles are out of date thing. I think great hip hop never goes out of date. I know a lot of people accuse me of being "oldschool" and that's fine with me. Personally I feel like alot of these new guys are killing hip hop. I hear the same beats rhyme schemes and and lyrics recycled over and over again and nobody has any originality. Don't get me wrong, I dig calico's style and it is def alot different than mine but I would take offense to being called out of date. I'm done if you dig my style. If nothing for nothing else just to prove a point. Listen to fair game on my track list then hit me up if you dig it.

I love oldschool, it's the only way to go. RMC's right, it's timeless. Plus you just named some of my favourite artists in the rap/hip hop game, Del the funky homosapien, Amon tobin (admittedly not a rap/hip hop outfit but the guys crazy and i love his sounds) and the Handsome boy modelling school. All remind me of good old days when everyone was smoking something and no one cared as long as the music was good...which it always was, somehow. had to add my two cents. peace everyone, and sorry mate robin I'm not a rapper, but i appreciate your taste in music had to say it. |

Gotta post some beats there brother. What emcee will work with a "producer" that doesn't post beats or show there track record? Maybe post an avatar and review some tracks too. You can't just show up and expect people to jump at the chance to work with you if know one knows who you are. |
