HAVE ANYONE HEARD THIS SONG? I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THE SAMPLE THAT THEY USED CAME FROM THIS WEBSITE RIGHT HERE! IT KIND OF PISSES ME OFF. THAT SOMEONE CAN COME ON HERE AND TAKE QUALITY SAMPLES AND TRACKS FROM PEOPLE WHO REALLY CARE ABOUT MUSIC AND USE IT TO MAKE A LOT OF MONEY OFF OF WITHOUT EVEN CONTRIBUTING TO THE LOOPERMAN COMMUNITY. At the end of the day this is a royalty free loop site...and no one has to give credit...although of course it would be nice.

people...this is the proof in the pudding...that serious pros..with money and label budgets...and a $200 an hour studio probably at their disposal with 1000 gigs of paid for sounds...are using our free sound and combing through this site...the implications of this are vast..both good and bad...protect your necks fams..i just confirmed Sleepangel's..love that name!..discovery...they took TheHandThatRocksTheDecks Full piano sample and effected it out as the BASIS for the beat...and i know why..the loop is really f*cking great with almost an Unfinished Sympathy kind of vibe..
he should be paid...period...probably that Carl Sturken/Evan Rogers bunch..never wrote an original lick in their lives..lol

sorry folks, after checking out Rihanna's mix again..and by the way, there's people on this site that could do way better..it's the same looperman member, but the second loop in the series, Piano Break with the 4 beat held left hand chord voicngs..anyone with good downtempo groove or rhythm loops or well recorded single instrument loops..65-90 bpm range fams....that's what they're obviously looking for ...equals big ballads equals big money equals big ballads...nuf said

Its not that... I am glad that people use it but with looperman.. All the people here when we make tracks or songs we give credit. We say hey this beat if from so and so or this loop is from the looperman fam.. I just don't want to see someone's talent get dismissed. No body is asking for millions and I do understand Eshar comment but it would have been nice for whoever made that beat to have some credit... is all Im saying. With Rihanna being as big as she is that would have been nice for the site to have that acknowlegdement fo the talented people on here. |

I love that loop.. I try to work with it often but never found a good beat to go with it but thats because I am not good at making drum loops and things like that. I am glad your loop was chosen and wish you could have gotten the credit you deserve... |

Congratulations @ TheHandThatRocksTheDecks for getting noticed. Sleepangel's damn right about the lack of recognition though - bang out of order. Especially when you think that everyone on this site's missing out on publicity. We should all text in to our national radio stations about this incessantly when we hear them play it, really get the Looperman and HandThatRocksTheDecks' names out there. Hold it up people..I just listened to that piano loop..I want to know where it came from..no offence to TheHandThatRocksTheDecks but he's a DJ not a musician..did he play that piano Loop?..if so he needs to stop DJ'ing and concentrate on playing because it's very good...I just want to confirm the originator of this loop, who actually played it..then we can discuss the proprietorial rights. |

I put it into the piano roll using a mouse. it was before i got my midi keyboard.
to be honest i don't think its worth persuing any futher and to be honest i am not sure if i'm bothered. I am just chuffed that i can say it was mine. plus i wouldn't like to open a legal can of worms or anything. |

It has to be noted that to date 1462 people have downloaded it...and one reviewer even described it as "weak"...which in light of it probably being part of a multi-million dollar album...makes me roll on the floor.... |

i guess it's bittersweet but when you do things out of pure love, it's hard to see past that or want to change it.
music lives on air so you can expect that it will go just about anywhere, and sometimes it returns back to you and give you something, but even if it doesn't the love remains.
i could be wrong though..but i could be right. |

All the big producers steal beasts they troll the free site looking for new beats and just replicate it in the studio,c'mon look at Usher there was a song he did whose loop came directly from Garageband.Lil' Wayne and co are now being sued for stealing beats! |

This is one of the things the site is here for. If people will continue to upload quality loops then I'm afraid that were just gonna have to put up with people using the to make music :-)
A bit of recognition would be cool for Hunta but its not something that we demand from anyone when they download. I think that the buz people get from hearing their loops in tracks (either in the charts or just here on looperman) is what its all about.
Maybe we should get in touch and see about a remix comp :-) |
