If you have time take a listen and give Darkreine some feedback.
Well, this is a very charming project and song and everyone's probably already said most of what needs to be said. Cool shuffle groove and the piano might actually be my favourite thing (as well as the harmonica).
My only real criticism is a strange one. No matter how many times I listen back, Patricia's words right at the end, as things are fading out, sound so much like
"Poopin all day, poopin all night".
I assume 'poopin' is actually 'looping' but I hear a 'p' every time.
Thanx for your extraordinarily brief comment! I'm sure that Pat was using a pop filter and was definitely not pooping, otherwise we'd have to call it Pooperman Blues and that just wouldn't do!
Why is here no comment on my part?! The piece has probably slipped past me. ;)
Anyway. Again you succeeded a very catchy song. Already after a few bars bobs my foot and I have to go with the music. Real a completely successful song!
There was a band I went to see at The 100 Club in London called Ruthless Blues back in the late 90's and they were excellent.
Then there is this tune which, upon listening, sent me right back to that club.
This is a most enjoyable little project and thank you all for the download and listen. Truly a sound that very much captures the era and it will reside on my iPod.
Been to the 100 club and Ronnie Scott's many times and of course the The Marquee, sadly though never heard Ruthless Blues.
Thanx for your kind comments. I'm sure that I speak for everyone concerned when I say that all you can hope for when making music, is that others will enjoy it.
Nothing better than chillin with a cold iced tea and a cool blues tune. Got my guitar and riffin along to this one. Oh yea baby! Right on Kenny sing those Blues man. Da dada dada. Mmmmmmmm.
At a bar drinking with some friends, room filled with cigarette smoke, chilling at the music, with small eyes i look at dj.. wait its DARKREINE! very nice track dude, really awesome piece of art! Love it!
It's Friday night and I just got off, changed into my sparkly royal blue dress and I'm feelin REAL good, sippin on my orange & cranberry juice, sharing the mic & bumpin hips with Darkreine/Kenny! Oh, and grabbing some loops LOLOL. Dancing all over the place, don't dip me though, I'm not a good dancer :-).
This was such a great idea, and everything is so tastefully done.
Many people on stage today to play this devilish blues .... A total success.
Honestly I am impressed by the work done here.
It reminds me, my tender youth, with of all my friends when we were doing the "bœuf " (French expression) .... This could take hours.
Hey, thanx for your time. It helped to have a producer who knew what he was at. Hopefully it will encourage other musicians to get together and have fun.
This. Is. Awesome. I really honestly LOVE it. Is it you singing? In that case, your singing too is awesome. Literally just a really nice song. Going to download some of these

Nice!!Maybe we all can do another one after this is complete!!
Call it the Looperman Blues Project! Maybe I'll see if I can get some more parts recorded to contribute and make it a longer Blues jam.
as a delta man, this track takes me home, smoky powerful atmosphere and an impressive blend of disparate contributions
this blows me away, hard to show a creole something new in blues but trust me, im taking notes now ;)
terrific track
Wow thanks for that man, I'm sure everyone involved will be blown away by your comments, I know I am. How about contributing some authentic Creole guitar for the track. There's an email address in the forum. I don't think the mix is over yet!!
Yo you lot! It wasn't that difficult! ALL the parts submitted were excellently played and recorded so it wasn't difficult for me to stick it all together !, I had fun.!!Large amounts of respect to all the musicians and vocalists that took part,it's been a blast! bob.

Description : Of all the classic Monster tales the Wolfman is definitely one of the saddest. Cursed, and destined to live as both man and monster. During the day he sits alone with his guitar, a prisoner of lonely existence, crying his heart out through his music. Then at night, the beast emerges, and in the dark under a full moon, he cry's as he rips the hearts out of his victims! Such is the life of a cursed bluesman!
Description : This is a tune dedicated to my friend, Nancy, who followed me to the clubs I played at for years, and is still following me with my studio work. Why do I dedicate this to her? Onnacounta cause she's soooooo naughty! She never liked violins, but loved her sax! Here's to you, Nancy. Anyway, this is a little blues track with some nice guitar and sex...oh, sorry, I mean sax.
Description : A sultry, seductive, and fairly short acoustic blues number. It is an instrumental and only took about 2 hours to write, record, and get a decent mix. Enjoy! Updated: I added some slight echo to the electric guitar and widened the stereo fields of the acoustic rhythm and leads.
Description : guitar on right run thru my friends mesa rec 25. It has an absolutely gorgeous tone. The guitar playing D, C #, B is run thru guitar rig 6. The the pushed back guitar on the left is also run thru the mesa. My UNC chapel-hill decision letter is coming out tomorrow and I'm super stressed. Whipped out my guitar and recorded some stuff. Hope you like it.
Description : Miguel Flores, vocals. Jean-Maurice Humbert-Droz, lead guitars. Laurent Schwaar, guitars. Roland Sumi, bass. Richard Pizzorno, Hammond. Laurent Wirz Drums. Loop from josephfunk (rhodes). Composed by Miguel Flores.
Description : Fresh out of the studio after 10 weeks of deliberating, planning, writing and performing.
This could be classed as Country Blues or Southern Rock...either way I think it may get your toes tapping. So grab your partner and jump on the dance floor with this one.
I am performing the following instruments...vocals, electric guitars, slide acoustic, bass, harmonica, organ. I wrote the following instrument parts in MIDI....drums, percussion, piano, horns. This was a beast to master but I think it turned out okay.
No loops used.
Description : UPDATE 26/01/2014: Improved loads of things in what is probably my greatest chillout alternative blues piece. Ambient, ethereal, groove-based delta slide blues. Contemplative and melodic. Multiple, layered , sometimes shimmering resonator guitar parts with solid, warm synth bass, an ethereal bed of pads (which are actually guitars) and second electronic drumkit to contrast the acoustic kits. I thought this was perfect a few years ago but it wasn't (and still isn't). Now has clearer drums and lots of small awkward bits of guitar have been trimmed. Quite a minimalistic and short piece for me - I don't just keep bringing in new instruments, as I usually do. This should really chill you out...
Awesome work mate bloody Awesome :)
