It's been many years since we have been able to announce any major updates but we're glad to say that we'll be rolling out those changes soon.
The current site has its limitations in design and maintainability and the existing server hardware has reached its end of life and needed to be updated and so it's all being replaced.
Since the previous update a mobile friendly design has been something that all sites have had to adjust to and hopefully the new system we have in place will work much better in that department and make future updates and improvements simpler.
As you can imagine there is a large amount of data and files that need to be transitioned and so the whole process wont happen overnight but will happen in stages. As the code base has changed and not been tested in a live environment we'll not be activating every new feature right away and some existing things will be retired.
One of those features that we are retiring in its existing form is the forum. For a long time its acted more as a notice board rather than a discussion and so by the time you read this you will have noticed that it has faded away.
To allow us to focus on getting this done we'll not be accepting any new requests for access to upload acapellas or free loops etc. Those who already have access can carry on as normal for now.
When we are almost ready to launch we'll make an update to this post with more information on what happens next.
Finally, thanks for all your support over the years and please bear with us while we make things happen.
Feel free to post your own comment.

Also, the lyrics are unacceptable the way they are being displayed. Either show the entire lyrics at once or allow us to grab, then move the lyrics box so we can the expand them with the little pull down corner tab. The lyrics are as important as the music, lets remember that.
It'd be really cool to see a play all button on a user's pages so you could play all their tracks, loops and/or acapellas that they've uploaded while doing other things so you don't have to come back to press play on the next track or uploaded item.
Can't wait for the new site and I'll miss the forums but they did get a bit crowded with low quality posts if I remember correctly.

Either way, good luck with the transition. I'm kind of excited to see what happens.
A needed refresh to the site is cool to see and I hope looperman doubles down on its already great service.
I just logged in to update my profile, untouched for over 10 years! (Don't worry, I saved it.)
finally !!!!!!!!!!
Is anyone else having this issue?
Also, for a few years now, maybe half the time I open a new page it doesn't open properly, the track waveform is orange and nothing on the page works. If I reload the page it usually fixes the problem. I just bought a new imac, hoping this might fix that issue but it is still doing it, not loading the pages properly. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Is anyone having that issue as well?
My doubts are:
1. Is the administration area also being updated?
2. Any chance we will get an API for uploading loops?
Thanks!
Cheers..
