The key to create this kind of oldschool loop is to play the drums, hi hats, snares, etc by hand, like actually hit your mpc or midi keyboard keys by hand so you get a real-feeling groove (no quantization, no robotic feel)
you have to layer sounds and do some panning on each sound to create a live feel as well, use as many live sounds as you can (live sounding hats, live sounding snares, live sounding cymbals), then turn up your swing for that off-beat kind of feel
lastly on your master track put some compression, old school type of limiting, old school type of imaging
and also a stereo spread on the sound so it doesn't sound too mono, yet again adding to the live feel of the groove
and listening to a lot of old school hip hop helps so you know where to put your percussions, drums, a few scratches here and there, etc
any more tips feel free to ask or if I didn't explain something correctly feel free to ask again
I'm glad you liked it and hope you'll use it haha I wanna see how it turns out
it's fun to make them it helps me try different stuff and learn new techniques
