Theres nothing, no specific thing that makes trap man. Trap, and music in any other genre should be about self-expression. If you listen to artists such as Buku and Flosstradamus, they sound nothing alike. They express themselves differently in the same genre. I'm not saying that there isn't some sort of element that people who like trap look for in a song, I'm saying that there isn't a specific sound or thing that "makes" a song trap. Bottom line is be yourself when you are making music, whether its crazy hat lines and bass or more chants! Sorry for the long-winded reply.
