Description : My latest try at some dirty dubstep! It's got some really heavy bass, as well as some drops, which my last dubstep track was lacking. Hope you all like it! From the Spivkurl album "Strong Like Squirrel."

If you have time take a listen and give Spivkurl some feedback.
I keep trying to make dubstep but so far i haven't been successful. Those growling basslines are pretty fucked up. It sounds like you must have taken you time with this one. Dark and moody, just the way we like it. The piano is a light sound but somehow manages to blend in with the darkness of the bass. It shouldn't work but it does.
Really enjoyed this track.

Thanks for taking a listen to one of my older ones! Listening to this again, I honestly don't know how long it took me to do. It was a very dub influenced dubstep I think. I didn't have nearly as much to work with back then, and I think it shows in the type of sounds as compared to my new stuff. I do like the contrast in here though. I really appreciate the feedback, I don't get listens on the older stuff nearly enough.
Thanks much for the positive review! I was listening to a lot of grime when I mad this, so that's probably why it sounds grimey. Dubstep rhythms are so fun to create, I love the half time feel. I appreciate your kind words!
I really need to make a dub-step track one day, especially some grime. i actually made some grime and rapped on it but most likely will have to record it again. anyways nice approach at the genre, the wobbling bass is always a staple for the genre! it's very unique it gives off it's own vibe! very ill stuff you got you page spiv! regards and respect
Killer track man! I'm getting really into producing Dubstep. I need to get more into automation. The bass in this is HEAVY I love it. Something I need to work on. Great track man!
i really love the textures you chose in this they have a nice interplay, very hypnotic when you boost the bass. the calm airy melody over the searing bassline has an interesting contrast.
Thanks so much! For some reason, I'm always surprised when someone likes this one! It's sort of minimal. Glad you could get into the beats and bass! Thanks for the review and fave!
This is duuuuurty. Dirty like a raver fresh out of the club, dragging his sorry ass home cause his friends are douche bags and left him (the bass is his anger about it lol).
Anyway, superb work man! I love your mastering on your tracks. You do an excellent job of handling those low freq's while maintaining the highs perfectly. This reminds me of The Widdler. His stuff is super, super dirty. I love it man. Keep it up!
Thanks so much! I'm glad someone can appreciate the dirtiness of this track! That bass was really fun to create! Thanks for your positive comments about my mastering, it makes me feel better about my tracks! I appreciate the review!
Thats unbelievable. one of the best things you have ever done! the snare is great, the bass dirty and just on the edge of inaudible its so low! A really accomplished and cool dubstep track dude.
Thanks so much for your kind comments! It's good to hear that someone likes what I'm doing! I like that really low bass too, it's fun! I appreciate the review!
Nice! I could see this playing in a B movie spinoff of the titanic. Like the piano player is chiming out the farewell song while mutant iceberg lizards are munching on all of the passengers. something to that tune.
Great job Spivkurl :)
woot 10k+ points thats just insane. This track is great, love the accents, sound well placed and tuned. Love the grrly bass, real cool. Keep it up, did you switch software btw? I hear different mastering. peace, tis a great track.
Thanks so much for listening and reviewing! I'm really glad you liked it! Nope haven't switched software, just been getting my mastering skills tuned in. I appreciate your kind words!
Love the unique dubstep track man!! So grimey it feels like worms are crawling in my head! Haha only thing I'd suggest is taking the reverb off the snare after the intro..., it'd kind of monotonous and intruding after a while... my feeling. Maybe add rides and change up the beat more? But the bass with piano accents is wicked. Keep working on it!
Thanks so much for the great review, and for the good suggestions! I may still work on this one a little, and I'll take your suggestions under advisement! I appreciate your comments!
I love the whole track. The beat and melody is awesome. My favorite was the piano. I love how they sound. Anyways, I like the whole dark tone of the track, including the piano parts. I don't know a lot of Dubstep genres, but I know what I like. You did a great job.
Whoa so many comments already, hehe. Haven't been checking out looperman very often last few weeks. Anyway, nice style, I can see what you were going for. Nice touch with the bass vs piano, really like the tunes. The bass is a bit fuzzy for me, in particular in the beginning. Doesn't have to be a bad thing tho :-) Nice you finally dropped some tracks again, I guess I will have something to listen to in the few coming days :-) I'm building a beauty of a dubstep track as I speak and altho it's already kinda finished I'm still trying to add vocals. I think it will work, like drumnbass dubstep is a genre with a lot of variety, hehe, would be fun to hear some more dubstep of yours.
I really appreciate you stopping by to listen! I agree that the bass is a bit fuzzy, I was just going for a really unique sound and took it a little too far... ha ha! I may redo this track a little bit in the near future, because people have had a lot of suggestions. Thanks very much for the review!
Bass kick is nicceeee, snares' a little weird, maybe too loud and needs to spaced out a bit more. Maybe use some subtractive eqing on the snare to give it a little more higher and low mid space so it doesnt conflict with the basses' mid's.
Piano is odd lol but fits, though IMO I would add a high passed filter to give it a bit more character.
Bass is good, though seems like it goes too low so it give it that in-distinguishable bass tone.
The bass growl may need some 40-60 Hz boost and a subtractive eqing of 2Khz of maybee.... -0.8 or -1.2dB? SOmewhere around there to give more room to the other instruments.
Hope this helped!
Keep on keeping on!
Steve
Thanks much for your in depth review! I'll keep your suggestions in mind if I redo this track. Seems like it could use a little work. I appreciate your comments!
Holy sh#t..I think my sub speaker just got a hard on!....great innovative blend of sounds happening...I reckon you probably found the transition into Dub a natural progression with your circuit bent background, combining a comparatively natural sounding piano riff is a superb foil to the main rhythmical direction and opens the door for other melodious elements to poke their heads above the primordial ooze groove...Dub music will over time break down a glass of Coke-a-Cola to it's natural ingredients!.....cheers Dave :7)
Hah! Yeah, this one has some low end! Yes dub is the natural progression from where I've been. Your review is a welcome refreshement, and I respect your opinions! Thanks much!
This song took me by the hand, lead me to a dark alley, did unspeakable things to me, convinced me I liked it and now we're married with 3 children all of them resembling zombie bears. Which means I love it.
Hey, man, thanks very much! Glad you liked the bass drops, as that's something I don't have much experience with! I appreciate the review and the fave!
I always day dream in Rhodes or Nylon Guitar.. Or cello.
I hear the greater melody being carried by something of that nature, but that's the beauty of music!
Man, it's great to see some new stuff from you! I remember for a couple months you hadn't released something in awhile, So it's a really needed breath of fresh air!
Man, yeah, you should try some reverb (EDIT, I heard the reverb) and delay (try some ping ponging delay?) on that piano, I think it would really fill out the track here and there like Stephen mentioned.
Man, awesome bass, really amazing interplay happening stereo wise with the bass.
Thank you very much for the in depth review! Yeah, I didn't upload anything for a while because my CD burner was dead, but I got a new one now. If I get around to updating this track, I'll definitely add some reverb and/or delay to that paino. I'm really glad you liked the bass, as it was really fun to create! Thanks for your comments!
Nice sounding kicks snares and bass in the start. The piano sounded quite good, but I think it needed a little delay and reverb just to fill out the space a little bit. The bass drops were awesome though. The subtle wobbles were pretty awesome as well. Definatly an enjoyable listen, keep it up!
Thanks so much for your review! That's a good idea about delay and reverb on the piano part. Glad you liked the drops and bass! I really appreciate you listening and commenting!
Hey Spivkurl, really digging this number, a lot heavier than the first attempt at the genre but not too heavy, the keys giving a lighter contrast, Bass work is awesome here and the dub snare keeps it moving forward, enjoyed the listen. cheers.
Cool! It's so good to get some feedback from you! I'm glad you like this one, I think it's a little better than my first try at the genre! Thanks much for your review!
You doing Dubstep, must say an amazing piece, have heard a few over the time here, this one id right up with the best I have heard on the loop, amazing clarity in this piece Spiv, very nice beat and bassline, everything working together so well, I get the feeling you had a lot of fun doing this one, as that is how it comes across to me here, nice sweet piano...love evry bit of this stunning piece, massive fav matey...Peace n Respect, again it is so nice to finally get some new tunes from you, happy now that I have had my Spiv fix...Estefano...
Yeah, I know it's weird that I'm doing dubstep! ha ha! Thanks so much for your kind comments, you know how much I value your opinion! Yes this was a lot of fun, you're right! Thanks for listening, reviewing, and faving!
I still haven't got my head around dubstep yet but I'm glad you gave it a go. That growling steady bass was a bit creepy, ha! The piano was just enought to soften it in places, nice job with this one Spiv!
Yeah dubstep is a tough genre to get used to! I was going for a creepy droning vibe, I'm glad you found it creepy! I thought the piano was a nice contrast too. Thanks so much for listening and reviewing!
Wow man that was sick i really liked the intro really intresting sound then the bass comes out of nowere it's just like bam! really catches you off gaurd lol
but the bass at 57 seconds in i wasnt to sure if i liked it because it sounds like really wet and wendy guff.
but yeah really enjoyed the track mate keep them comming :)
Hey, thanks for taking a listen! I know the bass is a little muddy, but that's kind of the sound I was going for. I appreciate you stopping by to review!
Description : If you're looking for Skrillex and his cronies, you've come to the wrong place. It's not that kind of dubstep. This track opens with a nod to my fellow Vault Dwellers and Wanderers of the Wastes, and transitions into a deep, dark celebration of the Horror movie genre. Some of you will get it. Some of you won't. Either way, I hope you all enjoy it. Thanks for listening. Take care. V.
Description : Update //** Quality has been adjusted from 160kbps to 192kbps. Hope this helps :) **// Hey guys, today I bring you my first remix track and my second real attempt at dubstep. This track is a remix of my buddy's, Golden track. You can check out the original here : https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/147676 and his soundcloud here : https://soundcloud.com/goldenookami. This is the short version aka the demo version. I plan on making a longer version later. As always your comments and tips are very welcome. Thanks for stopping by, and take care!
Description : This is an old project I made back in 2015. The voice you hear is Richard Trager from the game "Outlast".So, I present to you: Dr. Trager By ProPAIN. If the Site Director or whatever is willing to approve me uploading loops, then I will see about uploading the Bass Drop by itself for you to be creative with. Thank you for listening!
Description : This is my new single! It's a little different style than I'd normally go for (deeper and darker), but I really liked the instrumental, which is my HakaN96, and just HAD to do something.
Let me know what you think of it! My mixing/mastering skills arent the best. I put the song under the Dubstep genre (because of the instrumental) but with all the singing i'm not sure if it's more popish or not. What do you think?
If you enjoyed the song please like my Facebook page! I would love to hear from you!
Description : Hard, gritty, screech dubstep.
This is in a set, you can find the Drum loop, the Build Up loop and the Bass loop on my profile.
I'm looking for a Riddim producer to help me make the last song in my EP.
Description : yep, I made another one. I've been working a lot on my music lately, coming out with new songs in a day or 2 of making them. I took a snip of a minecraft youtuber's video because I got inspiration of another song, with.. the same snippet. I kind of copied the idea, but I didn't add too many vocals. Please, tell me if the mixing is right because something seems off. This is actually my first 6 minute song, idk if I did everything correctly layout-wise. (btw title won't let me put apostrophes)
Description : this was made for a video called cyberpunk 2077. I went with dubstep instead of my usual cinematic orchestral. It conveyed the mood better. check out the video. and let me know what you think. subscribe to my channel I'll doing more videos. love to hear with vocals.
