I keep trying to make dubstep but so far i haven't been successful. Those growling basslines are pretty fucked up. It sounds like you must have taken you time with this one. Dark and moody, just the way we like it. The piano is a light sound but somehow manages to blend in with the darkness of the bass. It shouldn't work but it does.
Really enjoyed this track.

Thanks for taking a listen to one of my older ones! Listening to this again, I honestly don't know how long it took me to do. It was a very dub influenced dubstep I think. I didn't have nearly as much to work with back then, and I think it shows in the type of sounds as compared to my new stuff. I do like the contrast in here though. I really appreciate the feedback, I don't get listens on the older stuff nearly enough.

Thanks much for the positive review! I was listening to a lot of grime when I mad this, so that's probably why it sounds grimey. Dubstep rhythms are so fun to create, I love the half time feel. I appreciate your kind words!

I really need to make a dub-step track one day, especially some grime. i actually made some grime and rapped on it but most likely will have to record it again. anyways nice approach at the genre, the wobbling bass is always a staple for the genre! it's very unique it gives off it's own vibe! very ill stuff you got you page spiv! regards and respect

This is duuuuurty. Dirty like a raver fresh out of the club, dragging his sorry ass home cause his friends are douche bags and left him (the bass is his anger about it lol).

Anyway, superb work man! I love your mastering on your tracks. You do an excellent job of handling those low freq's while maintaining the highs perfectly. This reminds me of The Widdler. His stuff is super, super dirty. I love it man. Keep it up!

Love the unique dubstep track man!! So grimey it feels like worms are crawling in my head! Haha only thing I'd suggest is taking the reverb off the snare after the intro..., it'd kind of monotonous and intruding after a while... my feeling. Maybe add rides and change up the beat more? But the bass with piano accents is wicked. Keep working on it!

Whoa so many comments already, hehe. Haven't been checking out looperman very often last few weeks. Anyway, nice style, I can see what you were going for. Nice touch with the bass vs piano, really like the tunes. The bass is a bit fuzzy for me, in particular in the beginning. Doesn't have to be a bad thing tho :-) Nice you finally dropped some tracks again, I guess I will have something to listen to in the few coming days :-) I'm building a beauty of a dubstep track as I speak and altho it's already kinda finished I'm still trying to add vocals. I think it will work, like drumnbass dubstep is a genre with a lot of variety, hehe, would be fun to hear some more dubstep of yours.

Bass kick is nicceeee, snares' a little weird, maybe too loud and needs to spaced out a bit more. Maybe use some subtractive eqing on the snare to give it a little more higher and low mid space so it doesnt conflict with the basses' mid's.
Piano is odd lol but fits, though IMO I would add a high passed filter to give it a bit more character.
Bass is good, though seems like it goes too low so it give it that in-distinguishable bass tone.
The bass growl may need some 40-60 Hz boost and a subtractive eqing of 2Khz of maybee.... -0.8 or -1.2dB? SOmewhere around there to give more room to the other instruments.
Hope this helped!
Keep on keeping on!

Holy sh#t..I think my sub speaker just got a hard on!....great innovative blend of sounds happening...I reckon you probably found the transition into Dub a natural progression with your circuit bent background, combining a comparatively natural sounding piano riff is a superb foil to the main rhythmical direction and opens the door for other melodious elements to poke their heads above the primordial ooze groove...Dub music will over time break down a glass of Coke-a-Cola to it's natural ingredients!.....cheers Dave :7)

I always day dream in Rhodes or Nylon Guitar.. Or cello.

I hear the greater melody being carried by something of that nature, but that's the beauty of music!

Man, it's great to see some new stuff from you! I remember for a couple months you hadn't released something in awhile, So it's a really needed breath of fresh air!

Man, yeah, you should try some reverb (EDIT, I heard the reverb) and delay (try some ping ponging delay?) on that piano, I think it would really fill out the track here and there like Stephen mentioned.

Man, awesome bass, really amazing interplay happening stereo wise with the bass.

Nice sounding kicks snares and bass in the start. The piano sounded quite good, but I think it needed a little delay and reverb just to fill out the space a little bit. The bass drops were awesome though. The subtle wobbles were pretty awesome as well. Definatly an enjoyable listen, keep it up!
