Description : ok so this is something I knocked out quite quick over this last week....
lately I've become interested in working in other genres... so this is something I tried it was supposed to sound like UK garage but I'm not so sure so I put it in dance....
I'm really starting to come into the idea of work with others.. colabing ... so any artist that fancies it PM me and we'll do something...not fussed about genre... I work mostly in Reason 5 but I have fruity 9... Ableton 8... Acid pro...not quite as up on these programs but I am willing to learn....
I made this in reason5 and encoded it to mp3 with audacity...
Any comment welcome

Nice bit of ambient music Phyruis. Really sounds like fountains are pouring out of the monitors or headphones, which ever when you used to mix on. anyways a very nice mix, my only thing with ambient music is that "space" is also a useful asset. As it creates a more atmospheric presence rather than more musical. something similar to this maybe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZX2N9_7NO8&feature=related But regardless that's just how i go about the genre. regards and respect
Spacing is nice, levels are okay in some areas, the variation is good but the thing is that around 1:58 the bass sound changes and gives it a differnt feel. Similar but almost too different. It's a strange track to say the least, the sounds are interesting, but sounds more like an experiment than anything. No offense just putting it out there.
All the levels and eqing are decent, so nothing to say there.
Sounds good, so keep it up!
Steve
Great start, I like the build up. I would love to use this for my Ambient Dub-Hop genre. Email me at Coszier@yahoo.com and we can see what we can smash together if you're interested.
Mate you are mastering the new genre's very well, I have to agree with Wayne, doing different genres does help you as a musician, I know myself it has helped me heaps, even helped with Trance as you know is my fav genre to do, ambient is the word for this piece my friend, extremely good listen, liking the guitar at the beginning (well it sounds like a spanish type of guitar), sweet synths and pads, working well with the beat, very good arrangement to keep listener interested for the whole trip...into fav's matey...Peace and thank you for sharing your talent...Estefano...
Man... I dunno what is going on tonight!!
I went and saw some live music but I really really wasn't feeling it. The bands felt contrived and the DJ was playing crappy trance.... Just like BAH!
and then I see 2 of my ex girlfriends (one even from grade school!) and the looked amazing and I was just not amused man!
It was crazy too... and I was listening to my terrible remix of In a Box Room with a Lighter (haha you would have to pay me to hear how terrible it sounds lol)
But I am just feeling listless and just like "blah" right now!
I need some your stuff man, gimmee a face lift.
You know what I would like on this man?.. More reverb (especially on the hi-frequency stuff --a nice jazz club kinda reverb you know????), .. but other than that
YES... see man this is what it is about.
You are putting the childish crap about genres and the scenes (yes they are ABSOLUTELY important-- I don't go to "new wave" night expecting a good time. I know it)
But you are stretching the range of your voice. You got style broseph.
Just keep on keeping on, and we need to EFFING collab when I get my life together.
You should send me a 320 of this and I will send you a virtual hi-five.
(OH btw it kinda reminded me of really old school DnB when they just groove on a theme... really good man)
Working in genres outside what you are used to can only make you a better musician, mixer, arranger.... It causes you to think differently and try things that you normally wouldn't, like different vsti's and arrangements. That makes us better in general, imo.
Now the track is very cool and well constructed. Of course I liked the acoustic guitar bits the most, ha, but overall I think you have a really decent track here. Nice one PBJ!

Description : Headphones are recommended for a more immersive experience :P - - - A weary American soldier is walking through the remains of what used to be a small town in the middle east, only to rediscover the horrible reality that sometimes war can affect even the ones who have no part in it.

Description : the other end of the scale from me, yep people, this is a ballad. its for all the people who have lost somebody long before their time was due,
i used my experience of tragic loss and how i hid my mental health issues that stemmed from it while writing it, its repetitive but has fresh verses
its to Matthias music Du Bist Nicht Mehr Hier almost the same title, He has suffered too that's why he wrote the music and dedicated it to his brother. i hope i have done it justice
Description : This track contains several loops, all of them are from looperman artists - listed below. I don't know if "ambient" fits well for it, but i get most loops from that category. :)
Inspired by the Final Fantasy series and my ex girlfriend. Hope you will enjoy it (not my ex! :D). As always, free to use for a song, any opinions-critics welcomed... UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Post script: The word "Ambient" has come up several times in the comment section for this, so I switched the genre to that. Thanks for the input. I really appreciate it.
Description : I made this with Garageband and was inspired by Anime music, such as Naruto. And if you noticed one little part is very similar to one of the melodies.
Description : ambient, guess i was trying to blur the lines between soundscape and music or something like that. will still edit here and there. put it on, lie back and sift. bass loop from LM's megapaul - darktimes and danwilson - drug induced crush
Description : Depression and sadness can sometimes serve as motivation for creativity as in the case of this track. A few months back I went through a period of loosing a few friends and co-workers. Attended a few funerals and as a result found myself reflecting on life. One night I had the urge to try to transfer my feelings into music and this is what came out. Some baratone guitar accompanied by synth and accapella.
Final EDIT: Further tweaking on levels and a slight change up in the timimg of the choir section.
Description : Hello,
this is a track between composition and cover.
Amandine (Sova Berry or Dine on soundcloud) made a cover of the a cappella "Song of Sophia" by Dead Can Dance.
I liked it very much, so i decided to make an instrumental with her vocals.
Hope you'll like it and if you want to comment, you are welcome, whatever you think.
Bye
