I am a big fan of bizarre music, thanks to Pink Floyd for that great intro and real nice sample, the style is not my thing, but korn helped me to love metal, not as hard metal as this, love korn, great, great use of sampled voz sits very, very well a almost mystical spacy sound great job.
The first part made me feel claustrophobic, as if I was locked away in a mental ward. This is a good experience because according to the title (Unsound), this is probably what many in such places are like.
The treatment of the monologue is really very well executed. It's like a peek into someone's thoughts.
As for mixing/mastering, I use M-Audio monitors which with most of my music tends to pop the bass. Your song had more treble to me and was quite pleasing I must say.
The length is really good. You don't want it too long or too short. Basically, get in, get your message across, and get out.
A character comes to mind while listening. Remember Faruzza Balk? I see smeared black mascara on her eyes while wrapped in a straight jacket. Eyes that look up at you as you enter her cell. What do her eyes say, "I am a God that will break free".
Again, I loved Unsound and relished the atmosphere it created in my head. Thank you for sharing. And thank you for reviewing my song.
Very impressive man. Love the death metal vocals. The only thing I didn't like was the singing at the end. But that's just my own opinion. Maybe a tiny bit less reverb on the vocals as well. Other than that, it's wicked. Nice work. Not too many low screamers on here so I'll be keeping my I on you. Faved.
Yeah they sing was rough did add to many affects I don't like studio produced type metal, I listen to bands like Every Time I Die, Deftones. Bands That really don't produce their vocals but they're good. Bands these days get lazy. Lol
And thanks.

This is Bangin bro..Definitely diggin the vocals.Very Hard.production values are great on this and the samples put it all into perspective.Dayton eh?Ive been thru there a couple times,im actually from Toledo, just moved here to Alberta about 3 years ago.anyhoo...Great track, keep'em comin.
I just moved up to Dayton about a year ago. I love it up here. Huge music scene only problem is I can't join in the fun because I can't keep a band together lol. I'm very opinionated when it comes to music and most people don't like it.

Bad azz vox :) You are really versatile. It takes some real talent to move from this type of metal to something like your acoustic track. Outstanding effort. I have to believe a lot of the guys on here that do metal must might be beating your door down for collabs.
Awesome job on this one. My compliments to the band, whomever they are.
The thing is I can play guitar and drums, but have no way of recording them to sound good. I am mainly a vocalist. I have been in over 7 different bands since I was 13 as a vocalist. Most of the tracks except "These Hollow Halls",which was recording by me and a friend, are all by other people and I just put vocals to them so they can see their track come complete.
Very, very tightly produced my friend. A great arrangement and I really liked the use of the sample. Although not my type of vocals, I thought it was extremely well performed. Nice one!
Thank you every response is greatly appreciated. If you don't like screamo vocals I have another song up that's acoustic. :)

Description : I asked Danke if I could add some vocals to his track Future Machine and he kindly agreed and sent me the track. The lyrics are about a soldiers experience in war as he and his trench mates are told to get up and out of their trench and attack the enemy across open fields. I can only imagine the fear, tension and chaos that goes through one's mind at that moment.
Description : I discovered Meshuggah around 2003 and was blown away by the power, complexity and super Heavy sound of their music. Their "Nothing" album marked the switch to 8 string guitars and pushed Heavy Metal into a whole new territory. My track is a variant cover of their song "Nebulous". I have stayed pretty close to the original but added a few dynamic elements of my own. Its loud, its super heavy and way out there...Beyond Nebulous.
Description : This unconventional metal track is dedicated to Valvedriver https://www.looperman.com/users/profile/841435 though it's not a parody of his fine music or me actively trying to sound like it. I struggled for months with the first few minutes of this track knowing that I must be able to take it somewhere deeper, more psychedelic and powerful. Then I loaded some sampled choir voice instruments, as used in my track Reckful https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/160356 and suddenly found myself happily in Valveland - not a place I visit often. Feeling amply Valvedriven and newly inspired, I added the last few minutes fairly easily and very quickly. So: it's a twisting, turning mixture of grunge, menacing ambient, mystical metal and ultra-heavy funk. Instruments: electric guitar+bass, synth basses, female choir voices, one synth pad, some other synths on the nastier side of things and a few programmed heavy acoustic drumkits playing a mixture of triplets and straighter grooves. Interesting thoughts appreciated. Favourite bits? Shit bits? Please listen on good headphones/speakers as there's a lot of heavy bass in this. Now get ready to rock: balls out, hands in the air and with rebellious joy in your heart. Just try not to headbang the hell out of your laptop. Go!
Description : Whats up guys?! Been a while I know. Iv'e moved around a lot but have finally settled down and have been hard at work with my metal band. Unfortunately I've had to put my solo work on hold for a bit while I'm recording with the band. We are being professionally recorded now, a very big step up from the last recording of my band that I posted here. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy! We are, Raze The Pyre.

Description : A grimy hard rock track fully produced digitally (even the drums!). The awesome main riff has been provided by prodreiter here on Looperman, and I made the drums in Addictive Drums 2, I will make them available as loops later.
