Description : I used two drum loops on here and mashed them together to make this. I need to find the creators of those loops.
Made in GarageBand.
Too short, but I like it.

LOL with phyruis post, i'm not seeing in the description that you said it was even a drum and bass track. don't worry about him being a genre nazi though. make music how YOU invision it. not by industry standards and LONG overdue traditions. the traditions are good. and the classics will always be respected. as i respect every traditional song in every traditional genre. but were on the verge of a complete new age, and it's time for change. anyways man sheesh i like this track though, i agree with the last dude it does give off this kirby vibe. some strange dreamworld level or something. a great theme for game. i like that constant chirping sound as well. keep making music. regards

-oh okay man, i thought as much afterwards. still good track though

Thanks a lot InPSYcle.
The original genre on this song was Drum and Bass, but since a few people didn't agree, I changed it to Electronic. =]
Making it sound like something Kirby-ish was not my original intention, but I'm glad that people can relate it to Kirby. I like the chirping sound as well.
I'll keep making music man. I'm working on an EP actually. It'll be released later this month.

I'm getting a Kirby's Dreamland vibe here, and that's just awesome. It'd make for a cool Kirby vs. mash up on youtube against some of his greatest foes and maybe some Super Smash Brothers footage. I enjoyed it, but it ended abruptly. More so a reason I think it would work for a youtube vid.

Is that so? Maybe it just because of the name. =P
Kirby is my main in smash, so there is probably some sort of influence in this song. I do have a bunch of Kirby sounds from Melee I'm never going to use, though I might put them into another song that's more Kirby oriented. I'll redo this track and make it better for you guys- eventually haha.
Thanks for your input.

Some nice ideas, I think the quality of the samples lets it down a bit. All the melodys are pretty cool though good effort dude...

I like the high pitched accents and melodies the most, I agree it has the feel of one long intro, but put into electronic genre it actually fits and could just be a cool eerie background music type song. Definitely a work in progress but some of the aspects were very unique and have potential.

Thank you. I'll see what I can do about the long intro thing. I kinda have to fix it, because when I closed down GarageBand I forgot to save the finished song. So the new one will sound a bit different haha. I'll fix the song in the future. I have to finish a few more before I can redo my old ones.

There are some interesting elements to this track which show some great potential. I would definitely follow the advice from Phyrius. You could download some drum loops from this site and then experiment with the track. This site really provides great inspiration.

Keep it going my friend.

wow I can't believe 9 people have listened to this and not one of them has had stones to tell you this aint no dnb brother....

the whole track has the feeling of one big long intro...

I would say that maybe you need to listen to some of the dnb here on the loop....start with people like Rollagee,RogueAi,HNMM and sn76 there really is some great dnb here on the loop enough to give you some inspiration...

don't get me wrong there are some nice ideas here but may be it just needs a bit more work to take it to the next level brother...

Keep 'em coming

Thanks for the input. What I'm lacking most is good drums. I didn't want to use the drums I've used, but very few drums on looperman are what I want in a drum even if I mash loops, I'm never satisfied with the result so I just went with it. I'll change the genre. =]

Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.

Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.

Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.

Description : Far out mid-tempo fat beat deep chillout grooves with Eastern/Arabic and slightly menacing vibes, huge delayed synth bass and a great palette of psychedelic layered and intricate sounds (mostly synths) and a stirring, epic feel. Even has guitar solo section reminiscent of some 80s power rock which is then followed by a brief synth harp solo. I began making it straight after staying round the flat of the flute player from the legendary Ozric Tentacles - easily the greatest ever space rock band. I made this in about 2001 and still think it might be my best track (and it's nice and short, for a change). My production skills were much weaker in those days (no EQ, compression or mastering used here) but, somehow, this one turned out pretty much just right. Feel free to disagree. Now sit back and get ready to trip extremely far out. If you manage to return, let me know how that trip was...
