Very beautiful song my friend, one can tell you are playing and singing your heart out.Late night driving kinda song(at least for me of course).Really lovely song Ron.Thumbs up for the production.
Thanks Nelson. When I do these solo acoustic songs in Live performance, whenever possible I will do a very long sound check. Dial in the room as best I can for an intimate experience. At times my sound check may be longer than my performance set. I'll do the same for other artists when I am engineering the audio. Be it in the studio, performance stage front of house or monitors. We musicians "Play" the effects and ambience of our performance environment. When levels are detailed and there is that warm comfortable dynamic atmosphere, where every word or phrase is intelligible and every breath a sacred sharing of emotion. That's what I hope to accomplish in these settings. I generally do not use a pic when I play acoustic guitar which was the case on this track. When I need some edge on the attack I will use my full fingernails. Not the tip, but the face of the fingernail. This requires a bit more attention during set up as well. Thanks for the props Nelson. I am encouraged and inspired. RG
Hey Ron,gutsy performance!..man you've got nowhere to hide when your going direct!..whoa what a great take!full of all the emotive energy anybody could possibly wish for in an acoustic set..it's very symptomatic of the covers you do that they always become "yours" and not just a motion....no doubt wherever your gigging the people are digging it big time...excellent man, heartfelt and true...cheers Dave :)
Dave, Greetings brother. Always great to hear from you and once again I am humbled by your kindness. My father was a jazz drummer and our house was filled with music each and every day. I have 3 older sisters who groomed me on all things rock and roll and 2 older brothers who appreciated the tight vocal harmony bands. So I learned from a very early age that it is ALL music. Cover, Original..really makes no difference to me. If a song touches my heart, it matters not if I wrote it or if you wrote it. I learn it, perform it, track it and share it. The expression is as personal as any. As Hendrix and Eva Cassidy make anothers song their own, I try to project myself as best I can. Thank you as always Dave. You inspire me. RG
Thanks so much O.

No worries...no world war was ment here, except my recent personal one...haha...and you don't want to know about it.:) It's not real etude by any means, yet it's quite alot about practicing...practicing...

Description : Again, another early production from like two years ago. I had a cheap little Yamaha acoustic guitar that I borrowed and mic'd and some congas that were given to me as a birthday present. I used my iPad GarageBand app to record the strings and the big bass drum thingy at the interlude and little electric guitar parts in there too haha. All the vocals were done by myself and my brother throws in some little things here and there with his voice :P Enjoy!
Description : A rhythm guitar track I made and sent to my cousin on the East Coast. Made with Tape-A-Talk app. from the Google Play Store. Download and collaborate with it.
