Description : This is Twanna's song that I added lead guitar.
It was great before I even played a note.
She know's what she want's to say in her lyrics and the message is loud and clear with her soulful vocals.
I've been so blessed with producers like Twanna that can take a handful of guitar leads and place them in just the right places.I was torn between Blues as Twanna has it or Rock...oh well,I've learned from working and talking to Twanna that she is creating her own genre.
As a guitarist ,I appreciate where she gets her ear for guitar from.

Mate here I was thinking I had reviewed all your tracks and thinking man you need to get more tracks on site, then found this one I had missed, going on what I am hearing here, so pleased I come across it,excellent guitar mate as per mornal, Twanna has got a stunning vocal, and mate you have used it extremely well within this piece, totally digging the feel and groove about this one...Thank you both for sharing your talents here on the loop....Peace Mosaic...PS bye the mate have a new trancer up that is going very well, prob one of my fav and best piece's to date, interested in your thoughts on it my friend...
Can’t believe that I haven’t reviewed this one yet my friend. You’re my hero, legend on the guitar my friend. You just have a sixth sense for adding right dimensions to tracks, this just illustrates your immense talents as a musician. Production is off the scale. The Loop is so lucky to have you around. Twanna+AllenV=Talent Overload!!! Love it Al.
This is another fine effort. It's got a real retro 80's kind of vibe to it. Sadly i'm only listening on my crappy lap top speakers so i can hear that there's more to this tune that i'm not picking up properly at the moment.
Twanna has some serious vocal talents and your guitar compliments it brilliantly. That solo makes my fingers hurt just listening to it lol.
The solo made my fingers hurt playing it,I had took a couple months off and the calluses were gone, you have to play every day to keep them...or numb yourself so you don't feel the pain...which I did;)
Just ran across this beautiful song that you added lead guitar to. Very, very nicely done. I see it was done in August....abouyt the time the site went down, so I missed it back then. I don't get on here everyday. Anyways, you did a splendid job and thanks for sharing it.
Now that's a real AllenV guitar – excellent work!
In this environment that zoom sound works miracles and your fluent guitar style matches her voice in excellence. Awesome collab.

AV.i agree with you on the Smooth jazz genre. But how you put a hip hop intro on a blues rock song is stuppid creative to me,and the guitar work as always was right where it should have been in terms of licks and timing.Vocals fit the consept to the bone. wish i could fav.PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.
Wow,thanks Mack!
But..go visit Twanna's page, she did all the creativity.
I sent her about three guitar takes for this song and she put it all together. Also she is trying, and I believe "doing it"... to blend the genres for her musical style as you notice so that is also a giant credit to her...I'm just honored to be along for the ride!
I like the combination of of Soul and Rock. I love the lyrics to the track. Very powerful and moving track. Everything was pretty cool, and I enjoyed listening to it. This is going on my fav list. At the very beginning of the track, right before the guitar, it kind of sounded like something you would have heard from a Hip-Hop track... That's pretty cool. I had to listen to this a few more times to figure out the message you were talking about. Congrats you two, keep them coming.
Yes,the track was sent to me from my good friend T and I added the guitar parts.I can't predict the magic Twanna does with my guitar but I love it also...Please give her the credit cause I just plucked the strings!
ps...Twannas arrangement with the intro was all her,I give her all production credit.
For some reason I've never heard Twanna's vocals until now.
Very powerful and soulful I have to say.
You always underplay your part in a collab which I like; modesty is a great thing...However, you are a great talent both in my eyes and ears.
Top notch collab :)
blues, rock, christmas, my birthday! it doesn't matter! its the voice, the subtly driving music with a guitar peeking its head in and out that make this great!!!! awesome guys! you make a great team!
Thanks Rat,I think we need more genres to choose from on this site,we can't write our own in can we?
I'll have to check it out,I know SpellJammer and I could use a Smooth Jazz genre and you're right about this song but seriously,Twanna is blending many styles to create her own, she's awesome!
Thanks Mark, and I'm ok...just going through the same ol' same..trying to make a living and take care of my family,it's not as easy as it used to be but I have Faith!
Allen + Twanna - this is such a great twinning and entwining collab - soulful blue and rocking - breaks on through and then some - guts and beauty is one helluva combo here - inspired, inspiring, and very dam fine - powerful music
Thank you Michael, and I would include you in the list of artists like Twanna that I have worked with here on the Loop that have inspired me beyond what I would have done on my own.
Thank you!
Allen

Description : Of all the classic Monster tales the Wolfman is definitely one of the saddest. Cursed, and destined to live as both man and monster. During the day he sits alone with his guitar, a prisoner of lonely existence, crying his heart out through his music. Then at night, the beast emerges, and in the dark under a full moon, he cry's as he rips the hearts out of his victims! Such is the life of a cursed bluesman!
Description : This is a tune dedicated to my friend, Nancy, who followed me to the clubs I played at for years, and is still following me with my studio work. Why do I dedicate this to her? Onnacounta cause she's soooooo naughty! She never liked violins, but loved her sax! Here's to you, Nancy. Anyway, this is a little blues track with some nice guitar and sex...oh, sorry, I mean sax.
Description : A sultry, seductive, and fairly short acoustic blues number. It is an instrumental and only took about 2 hours to write, record, and get a decent mix. Enjoy! Updated: I added some slight echo to the electric guitar and widened the stereo fields of the acoustic rhythm and leads.
Description : guitar on right run thru my friends mesa rec 25. It has an absolutely gorgeous tone. The guitar playing D, C #, B is run thru guitar rig 6. The the pushed back guitar on the left is also run thru the mesa. My UNC chapel-hill decision letter is coming out tomorrow and I'm super stressed. Whipped out my guitar and recorded some stuff. Hope you like it.
Description : Miguel Flores, vocals. Jean-Maurice Humbert-Droz, lead guitars. Laurent Schwaar, guitars. Roland Sumi, bass. Richard Pizzorno, Hammond. Laurent Wirz Drums. Loop from josephfunk (rhodes). Composed by Miguel Flores.
Description : Fresh out of the studio after 10 weeks of deliberating, planning, writing and performing.
This could be classed as Country Blues or Southern Rock...either way I think it may get your toes tapping. So grab your partner and jump on the dance floor with this one.
I am performing the following instruments...vocals, electric guitars, slide acoustic, bass, harmonica, organ. I wrote the following instrument parts in MIDI....drums, percussion, piano, horns. This was a beast to master but I think it turned out okay.
No loops used.
Description : UPDATE 26/01/2014: Improved loads of things in what is probably my greatest chillout alternative blues piece. Ambient, ethereal, groove-based delta slide blues. Contemplative and melodic. Multiple, layered , sometimes shimmering resonator guitar parts with solid, warm synth bass, an ethereal bed of pads (which are actually guitars) and second electronic drumkit to contrast the acoustic kits. I thought this was perfect a few years ago but it wasn't (and still isn't). Now has clearer drums and lots of small awkward bits of guitar have been trimmed. Quite a minimalistic and short piece for me - I don't just keep bringing in new instruments, as I usually do. This should really chill you out...

I had A great review on a song of mine once that said he almost didn't listen to the track cause of the genre...and I'm guilty too!
But now I try to look beyond that and to the artist.
Thank you again M!
Allen
Very nice. I would lean almost towards progressive soul as the genre on this one.
