Description : Played it back this moring and decided to re edit and add a few more points of interest. Mix number two of this now and hopefully it's an improvement.
It's an atmospheric D&B number with big reverbs, piano's, sliced vocal samples & a hypnotic vibe.
It's only a first mix but i like where it's going so i thought i'd give it a first outing to the loop.

I have to say, this is a really enjoyable song to hear, no matter what the genre is! Brings me back to the time I was constantly listening to bootleg DJ sets, which can't be bad... can it...? Really smooth effects you used to create the vibes! The tempo is perfect for this style too! Thought I'd return the favor by listening to one of your that's been here a while, glad I did! Freeking great! Fave!
You've definitely got the whole D&B thing down. I really like how chill this one is. With that bass line and the lead synths/pads it's an easy one to fall into and just flow with the current.
The break starting at 1:50 was nice. I like the way you didn't completely drop out the, well....drum and bass. It was like a floating leap across the gap.
I can't exactly pinpoint it, but there's something about it that takes me back to the 90's. I think it's the Phasing. The 90's used a lot of Phasing for that darker, dreamier effect. That's a good thing in my eye. Or, ear, I guess.
Anyhow, like I said, you've got the D's and the B's all figured out, man. And we're all just a little bit luckier for it.
Take care.

Hey my friend, great track. As you are possibly aware Looperman & Loop Radio are trying to arrange a day of Looperman celebrations on the 31st May. I am hoping to do a 2 hour show featuring Dance music from Looperman artists & would also like to feature Looperman tracks in my regular show. As this is available for download (thanx for sharing)I hope you will be OK with me airing it on the day or on another show?
Thanx.
Peace, Love, Justice & Respect.

Ha ha! No Homo!!! That made me laugh.
The way i see it there's 3 types of d&b. There's this style (atmospheric) Hard d&B (Which i also really like) Then there's Jungle which is my least favourite of the three.
If you liked this number you should check out a member called Benson. He does this stuff much better than me (Don't know if he's still around though, haven't seen his name for a while)
Anyway, thanks for listening and leaving comments.

Yeah, kind liquid d'n'b, with that bass. Liquid d'n'b is a term I like.
I'd like to make some liquid metal, actually. Must remember to try that!
This is fairly heavy and uptempo but also pretty damn chilled. Uplifting stuff.
0:51 like it when piano enters.
Classic d'n'b breaks sit well not doing a lot but I guess they don't need to when they're good.
Fading of drums on 1:50 works well. They just become a pulse that you feel but almost don't quite hear. Still keeps the groove working, though.
I'm hard to please but would have liked a different drum break to come back in on 2:32 when the beat returns. Just would have been more of an interesting shock rather than a straight return to what we've already had.
The track's really all built around one idea, with that bassline. And then there are the higher end flourishes and slight weirdness that work well.
So, some sort of other change would have been cool but I'm hardly complaining and neither will many other people.
Check my track Into The Out There as it's kind of related to this (not d'n'b but it is fast) with its liquid bass and uptempo drums. I think it'll interest you and you'll see the link between this one and that.
yeah i agree it's pretty repetative. I would have liked to have done more with the vocals but that track is on a lap top which has since passed away so it's not going to be updated in a hurry.
I just thought i'd feature it again to see if i could bump my stats up a bit as i've not been on the site much in recent months and i want to get more involved again.
I'll be checking out more of your stuff for sure.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Your music is the perfect thing to listen to as the rain falls outside and I'm drinking my tea (wish it were coffee but I'm insane enough as it is without the caffeine). Your music takes me on a journey up above this place, out to the stars...my favorite kind of journey!! So very relaxing!!
Hi JJ, Thanks again for leaving comments on my tracks. Sorry i'm a bit behind with the replys but i've been out of action for a while and i'm gradually trying to get back to everyone and repay reviews/comments or whatever they're calling them these days.
Anyway, I'm so glad you dropped in and left kind words on so many of my tracks.
thank you.

very very nice, a DnB that you can think and listen too, excellent beat patterns, great use of piano and synths, good clarity and mix, I have done one DnB track, but not one of my fav genre's but coming around to it more and more, especailly when hearing works like this one, has a cinematic feel about it in place, also a chillout vibe as well, stunning my friend,Peace Mos formly ELSD....
Thanks E. I was trying to get more into the d&b sound before i killed my computer again. People complain that they don't get enough reviews but trust me, leave for a few months and there's so many comments tto catch up with that you start wishing there were less of them.
Anyway enough of my typical english moaning.
Thanks for dropping in and listening to this track.

Hello mate, sorry for taking so long to reply but i've been away from the online world for a while.
Thanks fr stopping by and checking out this tune.

Thanks JK, Sorry for the late reply. I've not been online for sometime so i'm just using a mates lap top to catch up with a few outstanding comments.
Thanks for listening to this piece. I shall be over in a moment to return the favour.

dnb, not a genre I feel comfortable attempting but you seem to make it work pretty darn good. Nice effects around 2:20 making the song fade/phase, oh I don't know how to describe it, but it certainly breaks things up and adds an element of interest. Nice idea here, I enjoyed listening!
Hi Wayne, sorry for the late reply but to cut a long story short........broke lap top, took drugs, broke brain.
Anyway, since i'm now pretty much back on planet earth i thought it about time to catch up with my outstanding compliments/reviews (or whatever they're being called these days)
Thank you for leaving comments on this track (i'd forgotten how it went but it aint half bad actually)

I was sorry bout my bootleg-edit version of your track that I had made without ur permission spending an hour or so, uploaded here yesterday and deleted today already xD.
Ha ha! No i don't mind. I think you're better at this genre than me anyway. i haven't exactly got any record label committments to worry about so i'll send you the parts over and you can do what you like with them.
FR
Thanks mate. There's no need to appologise. In fact i should be thanking you really. I used one of your beats to get it going.
Cheers for stopping by and leaving a few words HMNN.

Description : Chaos....Chaos ensues when life is unfolding in many different ways all around you. A demand here, a demand there, do this, do that, things going wonky or all happening at the same time. It's overwhelm but it's excitement, it's crazy but it's also very real. Description : About five years ago I made a dubstep track called Labyrinth Of The Absurd. This is part 2. Check out part 1 if you haven't yet. This is a Dark D-n-B. Or whatever.
I used Serum, Massive, Sylenth1. I used no presets, and no prefabricated loops. This is all original content from scratch. The only exception being the vocal samples.
Description : Ambient breaking into dnb I guess. All loops (except for 1 synth by my 7 yo daughter) so I can’t take much credit for this. Free demo loops from Loopmasters and LM loops from:

Description : 170 BPM drum 'n' cell epic. That's drum 'n' bass with lots of my layered, lead cello playing. It's both banging and chilled out, with intricate basslines and soaring, melodic cello parts. Instruments: electric cello, piano, three synth basses, two synth pads. Drums are loads of drum loops supported by a few programmed acoustic drum kits. It's fast and powerful stuff but there are also two deep grooving half tempo sections. No guitar so anything that sounds like it might be is, unsurprisingly, cello. This was fairly hard to make and required a lot of hard work. It's still far from perfect, especially the rather abrupt, unimaginative ending (I couldn't think of anything better). Have a good listen and then consider leaving me some fascinating feedback. Not much drum 'n' cell about so I like to think this is worth checking out...

Description : So ive been listening to alot of dnb lately, and i decided to try my hand at it. It turned out to be alittle more chillout than I wanted it to be, but I still like how it turned out.
A ambient type of DnB track, one to make you think, Second attempt at the DnB genre for this year, again apologise to Drum and Bass artist, guessing again not your normal DnB.Used flute Rhodes Piano, and a few other bits to hopefully get the feeling for the piece I wanted, along with a few break beats/bass lines and FX etc...
Please comment/review and the favour will be returned...
