Description : Well, this went well - NOT.
It accidently became two different songs in one. Or is it coherent at all (the beginning and the end)? Not mastered.
The original track: https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/145860
Vocals/Lyrics by Katie Bregman: https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/4666

Very nice. Nothing wrong with not following the generic idea that a song must be structured a certain way. This is a very cool piano accompanying a great voice. Keep it up! Peace from AZ, USA.
Like the two track effect, it works for me musically, vocally and any other ally you can think of! Try not to get too rapped up in the technicality, you'll lose your spontaneity and the emotional flow of the song. Great job and a fav from me.
I vote for the two parts to stay together.
Really loved this: good piano, good atmosphere, wonderful voice and a very tasteful mix.
Ciao, Domenico
PS: I think Behnam's right, but I am not sure this is a flaw: in the end you have a good sounding track and this is the most important thing.
My personal approach is always to first analyze and try to fully understand the vocal part I am using: I try to play the vocal part with an instrument myself to get an idea of the intention of the singer.
But then... your result is so good that I think you may be right and I am wrong: sometimes too much thinking is not good in art.
Thanks Domenico!
Well, about understanding the vocal - I'm not that understanding unfortunately! Why can't they just sing the way I want them to sing??!
No, just kidding - yes I'll try that next time, not sure if I have the musical level of understanding yet though...
well ,dear S.J althoughT Steve is some how righT about theme buT I think this beautifull piano ( what a good qualitY ) deserved to be heared & I enjoyed iT aloT.this matter occures for us all, & regarding how music effect's on our brain, I suggest U to take a look to this article if U may minded to www.cnn.com/2013/04/15/health/brain-music-research
also abouT Katie acapella , she sings so good , buT there's 2 matter here , once her pella was in 6.8 measure line( she too had written 3.4 in description )buT your instrumental music was 4.4 (althought it's easilY solvable ) , also my suggestion abouT vocal after that admirable technical part of modulation is using 2 interval line of that acapella as vocal..buT even U could add some cello & add some SaX or other aerophonics even flutes too after modulation & this nice piece reallY deserved for being hear even withouT vocal as a cinematic track too .apology for long comment S.J.best wishes.___B
That was an interesting article!
And thanks for pointing out some of the flaws to me - sadly my theoretical level in music is non-existent but I'm trying to grasp what you are talking about.
Noted about the instrumental suggestions - I agree.
Take care!
yr description + the music makes me think of a place called turnagain arm in alaska where when the full tide comes in it slaps back across the continent and meets itself in the middle and the result i've seen is like a wave standing still - it's unearthly but earthly - rare and beautiful
Well, that was an unearthly beautiful and poetic review! Thank you for bringing the knowledge of the tide wave standing still...had not heard of the phenomenon before. I'm definitely going to use it in my writing.
I think the song works well all the way through. The piano sounds nice and it's a nice melody line that works well with the vocals, which are outstanding! Cool track, like it! I read crucethus' comment about George Michael's song, haha, I can see his point but that's a good compliment in my opinion!!
I like the drums and percussion towards the end. It's coming together nicely. It's definitely a sound-scape that has your style written all over it! I just realized that your piano chord structure in the end section is similar (not the same as) "Father figure" from George Michael, cool!
Steve
You are right! It sounds a little similar to Father Figure! How strange...Im subconsciously copying George Michael. LOL
I actually loved his music once. Or still, even?
Thanks for listening! Im not sure if the two parts of the song really belong together but maybe somebody else is willing to also take a listen and give a settling vote.
Sorry for babbling, really tired...

Description : Sounds of the sea and trippy acidy washes with a cool beat and some live acoustic guitar. Written in Cubase with live guitar and keys etc. The sound of the sea and birds was recorded on the beach where I used to live. After moving to the city one sunny day I was telling stories to a friend about living by the sea and started making this track.
Description : This improv recorded a few years ago powered my interest even further than I expected.....recorded using tc electronics pedal and tascam studio recorder and a Fender Squier tele electric....
Description : I used some new "Anthem" pickups from L.R. Baggs on my Martin acoustic to see how it performed, and it definitely beat my expectations. Captured the sound perfectly as I needed.
Anyhoo, this song is almost a prayer, hence the repetitiveness of the verses. As Christians, we believe that God will one day return and take away every suffering and all evil for good; in that regard, this song is almost one of waiting too. Very simple, with vocal harmonies and whatnot. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Made in 13 hours.
Someone else wrote the words, I was just inspired to use them. I only added the "Yeah" and "Amen."
Description : This is a track off of one of my EP's I dropped last year. It is based on True events. Sometimes when people finally take a second in life to slow down and breathe in..... The oxygen is deflated and it's too late. Take your time people, because time is what differs a good decision over a bad one. Life is precious!

Description : So a guy buys a nice guitar at a pawn shop but returns it a few days later after waking from a sound sleep to hear it playing by itself. When he tells of his experience he is shocked to learn the owner had actually died while playing it. Is it fantasy or truth? Is the guitar in this track that very same guitar? Its all part of the mystery and fun of Halloween !
EDIT: modified ending to a deeper voice
Description : This track describes a magical state that I experienced a long time ago. Maybe you also know the feeling that you can't describe something like this with words ... luckily we have the music for it!
Description : So this is my first Chill Outish track. I was just trying something new and then suddenly this was a thing. Everything you hear is home made. I hope you enjoy. - Mr. Spook'd

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this. In my heaven there is an endless supply of honey mangoes (an exquisite beauty of the fruit world) and even more slide guitar. A 1,000-year-long version of this track plays there on a loop (long enough not to get bored of it) but here I offer you the Earthly 11 min version. You must be very good to be accepted into my heaven to hear the full thousand year version so best start now. It may be heaven's main theme tune but it's not above criticism so feel free to let me know what you think of it. Maybe you prefer the soundtrack in hell. I hear it's pretty badass...

Well, the voice is beautiful but unfortunately it doesn't belong to me (I don't really sing at all).
