Description : This is our tribute to John Martyn may he rest in peace. No copyright infringement is intended, this has been made not for profit, just as a small thank you to an awesome talent. A big thanx to 12string, who went to great lengths to make sure the guitar work was as close as possible to the original.

I'm so sorry it took me so long to get over here and listen to this! It's two fabulous performances that join together to be very powerful! Fantastic work! Faved for sure!
Simple and wonderful: I love the sound of the guitar (thanks to 12Strings for sharing the details of his setup with us) and the vocal part is very "well done".
Nothing to say: very controlled singing and clear tone.
I don't know the original, so I cannot say anything on that point, but I can say that like what I hear!
Good job!
Ciao, Domenico
Hi Kenny...a big well done to you and 12String...you might not know it, but in spite of the fact that I make some cluttered tracks & lots of noises, I would just as soon listen to a good song with an acoustic guitar for accompaniment...so suffice to say...I really enjoyed this one a lot....Ed
The vocals, guitar and combined emotion and tone on this are really very good. I'm guessing any further analysis won't be appreciated so I'll just leave it at that.
I have no problem with constructive criticism and I suspect that neither does any one else here, we are all trying to improve musically. What I do have a problem with (and so do others from what I've read) is the arrogant and nasty way you talk down to people in your comments. It has been said to me that you seem to think you are the Simon Cowell of looperman and it looks like you are certainly aiming for that title. Being rude just to be noticed won't win you many friends here. You need to keep in mind that people on this website are at different levels of expertise in their craft. We are not all pros or seasoned musicians, me especially, but we are all trying to express ourselves in the best way can.
Thank you for listening and taking the time to comment.
Great job guys, awesome guitar playing and sound. Kenny, you have an awesome voice, you should sing more. I watched the video you did as well. I'll have to give John's music some more airtime around here, he seems to be a great singer songwriter. Well done, it sounds great!
@RichieWinn I used a Tanglewood Heritage TW 55 HB through a Titan SE Mic. I Used Ableton Live 9 to record it dry. Then sent it to Kenny to sing over. Thanks for asking.
Don't know this artist either but I'm under the spell of this song, Kenny . That's a gorgeous tribute, so full of emotion and purity . Moved me a lot . I love 12string's guitar and your voice is wonderful . Last track of the day for me and I'm very lucky it's this one .
Thanks a lot for this blissful moment,
Bises to you both :)
Hey Carole, coming from such an amazing singer as yourself, that is a real compliment, thank you. I hope this will encourage others to check out John Martyn's work. From the both of us, we thank you for your kindness.
I stand and applaud you! It's so refreshing to hear a voice and an instrument so nicely put together and "naked". What mic? reverb? guitar? did you use please?
Thanx for your kindness bro. We wanted to make it as simple as possible to showcase this great song. I used a Samson C01U condenser mic. I'm not sure which one of his 12 guitars Rob used, but I'm sure he'll post it here for you.
Description : What happens when a short but hypnotic celtic intro turns into something completely different? The most noteworthy collaborator on this track (yeah you guessed, it's Tumbleweed) answered correctly to this question! A newly patented musical genre is what happens...yes..."SlovenianCelticCowboyMusic" is born. Sometimes we just have to cut off from being too serious...The version presented here has been carefully chosen from 4856 or so mixes...
As always all thanks to my dear friend Ed who makes such wonders possible to happen.....
Description : Another simple track... Wonder if my genre selection fits for the tune. :)
Electric guitars by me, every other samples are from the site only. Applied loops :
Description : One of my oceanics. It is a Greek song, short but full of my sentiments about the sea and our land. I am glad to share it with the listeners of LM and of course my friends, co-workers of music.
Description : Recorded while running in and out of home to check out a wonderful aurora. Bassline loops MegaPaul and Mhyst.

Description : This is a country/folk track in a genre I don't do much, so I thought I'd give it a go. It also has some instruments I don't use much, namely the banjo, mandolin and fiddle. I got the title from a movie I saw a few months ago. Hope you enjoy, Scott.
Description : A folk rock ballad done in 3/4 time.
I am performing all guitars, vocals, bass, shaker and tambourine. Drums and French horns written in MIDI. 2 Apple percussion loops used.
Description : I wanted to do something different like i do normaly. And I think that I was successful.
A -drum ´n chill folk song-. A kind of hippie music in colorful garb of the modern era.
At the end of the track there is a bonus.
Something in the way of bonfire music.
Only minor2go with guitar and I sing all alone at ......................................................................................................
feat - minor2go on guitar - EpicRecord on drums - thegibZy on drums -
Description : Wrote it on a relaxing Sunday morning. Acoustic guitar rhythm with an acoustic lead, bass and guiro. Updated: removed some percussion, remixed and mastered.
Description : I had the idea that this lyric could be rapped over my track but not having the skills to do that repurposed Joni's masterful voice - It seems a little jarring at first but I kind of like how it fits as it goes along - My multitracked classical guitar and my constructed beat from various vst kits and 'you know who ' sampled vocal (cut up just a little). Not sure about genre
Feedback welcome

Though I don't know this song and this artist, your interpretation is awesome...your voice got some "salt and pepper", I mean it's so unique...
Beautiful!!!
Thanx for letting me know this man!
Danke
La voix et la guitare sont superbes, le son est excellent et l'interprétation magnifique.
J'écoute rarement du folk, mais là ça fait vraiment du bien!
