I dig the lead melodies in this. It doesn't sound like you have any problems getting good sounds out of your synthesisers. This is an interesting piece that doesn't seem to slot into any particular genre. The piano sounds nice as does the bass. I like the way you concentrated on the melody rather than the beat.
Sounds great.

Modnex replied 3rd Jun 2014 - 12 years ago

Thanks Fr! The melodies of the track are always the easiest for me. Guess it's my best skill when it comes to making songs. I do however, always have a problem with the intro, as it always takes me the longest to finish. Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words, much appreciated! :)

Thanks Cyber! Glad you enjoyed it and even more happy that it reminded you of something!

Take care!

BatFoy 11th Mar 2014 00:37 - 12 years ago

hey man i also wondering what synths/vsts/presets do you use ? i'm gonna try and attempt to make music like this, could you tell me some so i could get started

Modnex replied 11th Mar 2014 - 12 years ago

I mainly use nexus and massive to get my sounds. I use nexus default presets and I make my own massive presets. Variation is a must when I make my music, so that would probably be my main tip to you!

Thanks for stopping by, again. Much appreciated!

Like the piano and the reverb it has. Beat is definitely very fitting!
Melody is catchy and happy, gets a bit loud at points, but other than the loud bits, its a nice tune, very creative :)
Keep it up!

Modnex replied 19th Feb 2014 - 12 years ago

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed this one. I do agree it is a little loud but that is something that can be easily changed, so no big deal!

Thanks for checking me out, much appreciated!

A Catchy/playful melody with an overall wonderful ambiance. The addition of your vocal part in the mix gave the track a touch of a warm human element. Very nicely done, keep up the great work...
