Description : This is my second attempt at production. It is a reggae track with a dub feel to it.
Drums and bass made on my boss dr880 and samples for vocals and brass. Comments welcomed.
hey, man! I love your sounds and mix. there is nice ethnic flavor in your mix, nice percs, brass. and the vocal is very chill. enjoyed the listen a lot. thanks. Dan
Second track you say that's remarkable where it is not quite perfect in the mix (that can always be improved with time ) you totally make up for that in the feeling, content and arrangement of this track . sound great keep them coming
Cheers paul
Not heard much Reggae, but liking what you have done here, in whole to me the track sounds like the jazz genre, or maybe a blend of the two genre's, either way it made for an very interesting enjoyable listen, excellent clarity and arrangement, had little chuckle when track started as I have the same vocal gun gun gun in my library but haven't used yet, so it was good to hear a track with them used, very nice track...fav'd...Peace n Respect man...Mosaic...
Gun Gun Gun Guuun! Aye bud, very good levels on this, like Spiv on the headphones here, dig the breakdown into the dub section, very nice bro, looking forward to hearing more of that drum machine of yours!..defo faved!
Yeah man, this is a sweet song! My wife got too stoned last night and is sleeping in so I decided to just get out the headphones. I'm glad I did, as this has some nice stereo effects going on! I agree with others that the primary drums could come up in the mix a little, though the bongo part seems at a pretty good level. Great use of the vocal clips! The bass is perfect for a dub style song, and the delay effects and stuff just add to that vibe. Really enjoyed listening, glad you're having fun with your drum machine! Faved!
Thanks static. that means alot coming from u as i know you are not one to hold back if you dont like something.
Wasnt sure about the drum volume so i guess that answers my question. Peace bro.
Nice reggae sounds, good beat, music and vocals. For me it could have done with being slightly faster..but that's just me and you may have wanted it to be a slower tempo song. Either way a good job.
Thanks for the listen larry. to be honest i hadn't even considered tryin it at some diffrent tempos.
Something to consider for the future productions.
Cheers. Graham.
Description : If you ever wondered if my crazy drum machines can do also Reggae, yes they can. A totally human produced song with human made samples and loops, with no AI and "unprocessed" voices to fight the stormy Dartmoor winter mood. Just KayOS in Reggae style. If you like our music, please look us up on kayos2.bandcamp.com
Description : Music composed by Alex Richard and Laurent Wirz. With: Hanspeter Dubach Lead and rhythm guitars, Alex Richard Bass and rhythm guitars, Claude Barbotte Hammond organ, Joël Perrin Saxophone and me at the drums. The two grooves I used for this one are to find under Loops and Sample, member laurentwirz, reggae. Also an excellent loop from member ebae. I have to say that I asked Michael Mayo before publishing it but I received no answer yet. It was pretty difficult with his acapella because it's a pretty short loop with not a lot of words (for an almost 5 minutes track)! You can ear also some background vocals from Patricia Edwards and I hope it's okay for her.

Description : Guitars, keys and vox by me. LM drum loops 130_Dagger_Live_Drums, 23sk-drums-reverb-spring-roots and alabafruit. Horns from Loopmasters dub and reggae horns sample demos.
Description : This track contains only free loops from several Looperman artists. I think one of my best works lately... but wonder if it's ok with headphones too - there a lot of very rough cuts. Enjoy!
Applied loops (fully or partially):
Description : Richard Shekari and I worked on this project earlier this year. I play bass, guitar, banjo, dobro and also sing on this. Richard added a cool harmonica sound and has an amazing voice. I have learned a lot from him, Richard produced this track.
Description : Took the rundown acapella from ThaSuspect, chopped'it and made a Reggae Instrumental.
Please use it to add Verses and a Chorus.
Hope you like it.
Description : A quick idea I did in one day, 2 mixes, more an exercise for myself than anything serious. Inspirations were a Peter Tosh docu for the reggae feel, a surfing vid on what a point break was for the vox, the Ace of Bass vid The Sign for the drums and Jaco Pastorius song Crisis for a bit of inspirational bass thrown in. 2 drum loops used and a vocal effect loop for the heck of it in the middle, he. Live percussion, cabasa, guiro and double maraca. Me on git, bass, vox. Here comes Summer!

Description : I uploaded the vocals in 2012, Soap BRILLIANTLY produced this track around them. I was listening and thought I'd share as well. Don't forget to stop at his place and leave some Looper love! Enjoy!
Description : NEW - 2014 - I used a few samples from sterixx called riddim.
And one from seanmccuaig called vocal beat.
I used some lyrics from an older song by myself. It was more a dark wave song befor but i realy enjoyed it to sing and produce it in reggae style.
Hope you enjoy this version also.
Cheers paul

Niceto get
Keep up the good work!
Believe it or not that was some kind of twisted vocal sample.
thanks for the listen. graham.
Hopefuly some great work in the pipeline.
Peace Bro.
really glad you liked it.
Everything sits well and in time, key etc etc.
Drums are decent though they seem quite in the background and I'd turn them up a fair bit. Groove still works even with those low key drums.
Bongo type percussion is good when it comes in and an interesting change.
Bass is classic dub and I can't rally fault it.
Vocal samples work well. Brass is the main melodic element and one I like.
Decent enough length though not sure what else to suggest except a better, more conclusive ending.
Congratulations...
