hi,
nice cinematic music. Really well done with the strings and piano. I like your mandolin playing - it's very nice merged into this composition along the violin section. I would like to hear a bit more of the introduction: you start with slow strings but you could extend the beginning for sure. And add maybe some nice ending or just fade it out so you could have a 3-4 min.
Quite short track but really nice and pleasant to listen and enjoy.

Dear Behnam
This adorable music reminds me of the poem "Your laughter" by Pablo Neruda.
I read it again and again while listening to your music and remembered all laughters which I miss very much now miles away from all my loved ones.

Thanks dear Behnam for the moments your music created and appreciate sharing.

Bests
Mina

Take bread away from me, if you wish,
take air away, but
do not take from me your laughter.

Do not take away the rose,
the lance flower that you pluck,
the water that suddenly
bursts forth in joy,
the sudden wave
of silver born in you.

My struggle is harsh and I come back
with eyes tired
at times from having seen
the unchanging earth,
but when your laughter enters
it rises to the sky seeking me
and it opens for me all
the doors of life.

My love, in the darkest
hour your laughter
opens, and if suddenly
you see my blood staining
the stones of the street,
laugh, because your laughter
will be for my hands
like a fresh sword.
.
.
.
deny me bread, air,
light, spring,
but never your laughter
for I would die.

What a soothing and gentle track here brother Behnam!
I sense a lot of sentiments with this track. She must have been a very special person! :)

The percussion drums was a good choice as it is not overbearing. The piano itself reflects a special moment in time. The mandolin places you into that moment in time. And the strings in the background holds everything together. And looking back, it is a beautiful memory captured in sound. A soothing track to the soul. Well done. - Billy

Hello Behnam, This trial I believe still is incomplete, not for its abrupt ending but, for it's moment in holding onto the previous thought. I hear the instruments wanted to say something more. I like the sounds you chose to explain the image of how that time seemed like. This is some natural deep thought. The piano allows me to make it personal to a time where she was laughing too but, not there anymore. A respective story. Must continue the ending sentence, will be interesting to hear. Thank you for sharing, is enjoyed and appreciated style from you. Hope things are clearer now. Peace.

Hello DesignedImpression and many thnx for the attention , listening & sharing your critical idea .
I underestand U & I think U'll underestand me to say I prefer people listen my trials 2 times , instead of making a longer version of them .but U've truely felt about instruments cause this is an extracted part of a longer version of this trial which I can send U in email if U're minded cause knowing your idea about that version too will be interesting for me and maybe that's why U've truely felt instruments wanting to say somethings more .
anyway designedImpression , your point of view is worthy of considering for me ,generally too everyone's idea is respectable for me .
and any how , now , U think what can make this better ?
which line , which instrument ( U think ) should be improved & expanded to make the listeners don't feel this is incomplete ? ....looking forward to read your reply & also according to your critical idea U're the only one who can feel free to want to collaborate about this track for any longer version .many thnx again & all the best.___B

Thank you for your response, and please don't be offended by my review. As usual, I read through all the reviews before I write mine, and I got the impression from your responses that this was still the "prototype version." The only thing about the recording that led me to believe this was the final moment, it is very sudden and abrupt. I am getting the feeling that this was completely intentional, and so I apologize for making an assumption. It's an absolutely beautiful piece, and I'm glad that I came back to listen again this morning. Getting concerned about you my friend within all the turmoil in the world, and I'm happy that we are still connected in some way.

anyway if U really think this is good enough , I should be glad and I'm seriously gratefull of your attention and shared idea & also especially your time for listening this trial of mine for 2 times & writing 2 times about it.

This track has a really nice live vibe to it. The mandolin is great and i dig the percussion. I like the way you did the pitch shift before bringing the piano back in. The violins are nice but i have to say it ended quite abruptly, so perhaps it would benefit from a fade rather than just stopping dead as it does.
All the same i enjoyed this track Behnam and i will for sure be back for more.

What shall I say. I am smiling from ear to ear actually really starting to laugh. You always seem to find a way to amaze me. Your musical talent has no end. I wish it was for download hmm? You play mandolin as if you were happy at the time. It shows through your playing. I have noticed in your music you are very good at letting the listener feel the emotion you are expressing at that time. If you are able to grab the attention of your listeners and make them feel your laughter, sadness, anger, frustration, pain, love etc. then you are one very amazing composer/musician.

Thank you for the big smile,

Hi Benham! I think your mandolin playing was great. The strumming parts are nice. The picking was also excellent, especially the transition part with the effects around 1:40. I am surprised more people don't play one here on the loop,

I found it to be an easy instrument to play. I am not very good at playing it. What's that saying, "fake it till you make it"? hehe. I just found my book of mandolin chords. I only play the mando when I record, I hardly ever practice it.

Your mandolin sound cleanly played and in just the right places, it is such a beautiful sounding instrument. Keep playing my friend!

Wayne many many thnx for attention, the kind words & all the encouragements. ....uuummm yes as U've mentioned there're not many mandolin players.particullary I think mandolin has a very nice sound & special character as a strumming instrument, buT I think the reason why we often don't find many mandolin players are its weak points about expressing suspended atmosphers, subjective impressions , & the lack of a strenght Bass sound which makes it to be usefull for some special & usually romantic concepts, it also needs a mentality with minor & melodic tendency for playing.
ofcourse these are my personal point of view & criticisms about mandolin & I don't know much about it .
for sure your probable reply can include some instructive points about mandolin ...& of course noone can't ignore its unique & beautY sound in its suitable place ...
anyway personally I enjoyed my first & last mandolin playing & your warm feedback made that exprience of mine including more pleasure...appreciations Wayne for patiency & presence & valuable shared idea.best wishes man.___B

"Music inebriates and settles the dancer while inquiring people only see him move. They laugh at that puppet who bustles about without a reason, for they don't comprehend music". Alexandre Dumas, "Queen Margot".

I like this quotation, and chose it to illustrate how much your music speaks to me, deary.

'Was really moved by this track and that unique way you have to depict human feelings through the prism of music.

Merci Behnam for this tender and evocative moment.
Do take care,
Kisses.

Dear DeciBel,

That is really really good! I especially love the drums and the mandolin.

When I listened to the track I could hear a song unstop of it. What if you ask some of our singers to sing to it?

deciBel replied 17th May 2014 - 10 years ago
nice to know this from U buddy & many thnx for attention & shared idea ....singers ....uummm Bjark U know ? I won't allow singers even think to sing to neither of my romantic trials .
if i's supposed to be sung , so its singer has one name & it's Diako Behnam Zandi..its selfish composer ! smile & wink + appreciations again. bests.___B

What a catchy one Behnam...that piano melody is when she was laughing?...
The mandolin is the peak of the song surely...this is short but essential...nice and dreamy...feelgood journey in your lost but hopeful world?

Was a great experience and a musical 'surrealismo'

Greet you budy, hope all is well...

Danke

nice to hear from U man ..but haha man wonder to see U've taken piano as laughing explanation !
and I also wonder to know my world is lost !!(how?where?when?) as U've informed me in your sentence...!
but anyway many thnx for sharing your surreal comprehension with me & us about this expressionistic trial of mine ..hope everything goes fine with U too my cool friend___B

Behnam...I am having a great day here this Saturday...what a wonderful happy sounding music composition...strings and piano are great company for one another and you have taken a very controlled, subtle approach to the melody parts (is that a mandolin you are using?)...this is a fav for me Behnam...thank you...she stopped laughing very suddenly at the end.....well done my friend.....Ed

many thnx Ed for attention & such a warm feedback .
yes that was the first & last time I was playing mandolin in a trial & i think I've played it a bit extra forte (Wayne is needed to share his idea about my mandolin playing) .and haha cool explanation U've mentioned I've designed that mandolin as her laughing symbole & that saddenly stop is due to as the name shows I'm reminding & reviewing in my mind the way she laughs & when she was laughing the world was stopping for me for a while ( smile !)..& also that was the way to back to main theme's tonality after imperceptible altration which happens by bent notes of mandolin to paint laughing ...master i should have an exclussive appreciation from U about this one cause your warm feedback in acidplanet about this made me to think this is suitable for upload here in my only active page in internet . many many thnx & all the bests.___B

Cool track deciBel! I really like the atmosphere this creates. The guitar was a real nice touch. It for sure has a cinematic vibe to it. The mix sounds pretty good too. Nice work.

Description : Ok...here it is! Another colab with maestro Tumbleweed! Ed provided the unfinished, basic track...I composed and recorded the long intro using different synths and then added piano (well to the fore) and some brass arrangements along the rest of the track (no violin this time...hehe) and then did the final mixing to wrap it up as it is presented now. I hope you will enjoy it and we both appreciate your listening time and your valuable comments:) Otherwise all thanks to Ed!

Description : Dark, slow, ambient, cinematic jazz with funereal piano turning into something much funkier, psychedelic and beautiful in the second half. Out of the darkness and into the light, you could say. Instruments: electric guitar + bass, lots of synth sounds, including a horn, double bass, another big legato bass, pizzicato strings, two types of piano, a heavily delayed slide guitar instrument, zither, synth arp, one brushy drum loop, kettle drum rolls and 4 programmed acoustic drum kits. This is quite a special track for me and is only the second I've put in the cinematic genre. The more you listen, the more it changes (it even has key changes) and the last three minutes are really quite far out and should probably be longer. Best track I've made for a few months. Interesting thoughts and reflections appreciated. Free sex for the best reviews...

Description : So a new track for everyone. Im pretty impressed by this one, and would even place it higher than one of my best tracks, Angel And A Demon. However, I'm trying to decide whether or not I should put vocals to it. I have some in mjnd, but idk if itd be better to leave as is and keep it instrumental or not. Take a listen and let me know! Also, let me know if anything is too loud, still working on my mastering.
