Description : Was in a weird mood this weekend, so I went for some loopy electro this time. Tried to carry my aesthetics and recent style into this genre which is not my usual. It was a little tough to mix this one, but I think it turned out good. Have fun listening!
Full remix kit has been discontinued as of 28 May,2014. Thank you to everyone who has done, or will do a remix! It's been fun, but it's getting hard to take. All vocal stems are available on my Looperman profile now.
This electro track was uploaded by Spivkurl. They retain full copyright and you are only entitled to listen and in some instances download. For further details on how you can use tracks see the terms and conditions and the tracks section of the help area.

If you have time take a listen and give Spivkurl some feedback.
This is such an interesting listen. I could envision this being played through the loudspeakers in a futuristic city. People stopping and listening to it.
It's really good. Love tracks with a spacey vibe. Well done! :)
Hey there, thank you for the kind comment on something which is going stale! You vision of this being played in a futuristic city really hit home, as around the time of writing this track I had been watching the film "REPO The Genetic Opera" A LOT... Many of the interludes in the movie are just like you describe. Makes me happy I could capture some of that feeling, even though it was unintentional. I always appreciate hearing from you, and I hope that you are well!
hi, this song is probably the one of my favourites ever from the all what I've ever-heard when joining this site - I was listening to your entire album many times but this one is a great number! It reminds me of 'Can’t get you out of my head'. That's why I can feel some connection with this music!
It's a club smash-hit with a killer bass-line!
Hey friend! Thanks for another fine comment! It's interesting, I looked up that song you mentioned, and after hearing it I remember maybe hearing it once or twice a while back... but it wasn't memorable for me at all. I must agree that it has a similar style to the music though, so thank you for alerting me. Happy to hear that you enjoyed listening though.
Interesting to hear! Did you get the stems when they were available? Sounds like someone is redistributing them now, but I have no idea who. Would like to hear what you do with it! Thanks for the comment!
I don't why I haven't heard this track..there's just too many tracks sometimes. Anyways jamming track here Spiv, trippy and stays true to your unique approach. Everybody has their own style though, and everyone on here (for the most part) does their own style quite well. Not everyone has found their own sound yet but they will. You've definitely found your sound Spiv. Excellent trippy electro circus! peace
Thanks buddy for stopping by to listen! Regardless of how popular this one got, I can't exactly say that it's "my sound." Truly less original and creative than other songs that have more of a place in my heart. Not to say that I'm not pleased with it, and it will be on my new album. (Released this coming Sunday!) Trippy is always a good thing to hear about a track, so thank you! Very much appreciate your words!
This is another side to your sound Spivkurl and I am appreciating that your tapping in to it . Excellent beat blended with those power synth cords and bass . Full of energy and a great dance feel to it . This is now one of my favs .
Mighty nice of you my friend! I'm pretty surprised that this song got so much attention, I guess that means I shouldn't try so hard to be different...heh. This is part of a trilogy that will be on my new album. Others are "Seplicate" and "Liberate." I really appreciate you taking a listen and leaving a kind comment! Thanks also for the fave!
Nice one! Really great electro sound and og course technically sounds good too! I have the remix pack, but I*m using FL 10 nad don*t have a single clue how the hell I use those files... Any suggestions? Thank you!
Hey, thanks for stopping to listen! I'll try to help you use the files, it's really easy with FL 10. (That's what I use too) Basically just put the files in a directory that is available in the FL browser at the left of the screen. Refresh the browser so the new files show up. You can then use them like any sample. I recommend setting your tempo to 130 and then dragging the audio one at a time onto the playlist. They should all line up at a bar change with that tempo set. After that you should be able to change the tempo as you see fit and have the samples stretch to fit. You may want to enter the channel settings window for each one and change the time stretch type to "Pro Transient". This will maintain the quality better if stretched, and should keep the pitch the same. Would love to hear what you come up with! I appreciate you taking a listen and leaving a comment!
I see all those walkers slowly walking in rhythmic patterns. Very interesting synth work. The vocals this time had a better spot in the mix and was just the right amount of words to keep you interested while getting to your message. As others mentioned about the bass works, does sound good and heavy clean. I can hear what they mean about the professional quality. Honestly this is a family style I know of you and you do it really good. The mix to me is similar to your others, maybe this time that slightest adjustment allowed the sounds to push each other in the right direction instead of trying to top one another in some cases I've heard. Overall, was a good experience to listen to, I hear the fun init. Thanks for sharing Spiv, keep going! Peace.
Thanks very much for your support and helpful review! By "walkers" do you mean the zombie sort of walkers? I like those. I've been really training myself on equalization lately, and also trying to bring more of a progression to the mix and effects within my songs. Sometimes it takes much practice and many renditions to get it how I want it, but it feels worth it, especially when you have a song get this kind of reaction. I appreciate you listening!
This song became so popular with all these remixes, and now I can see (hear) why. :) Really interesting bassline and beat, everything mixed very well. I expect more tracks like this one! :)
Hey buddy, thanks for checking this one out! Who knows, but I don't know if I'll ever make something like this again. It's not quite original and wonky (as StaticNomad mentioned before) as what I usually do. It really blew up on Looperman, everywhere else it was just another song. I am happy to see the reaction though. Thanks for the support!
Thanks very much for your positive comment! The club is cool, and I'll take the commercial suggestion for what it is...heh! I don't think I've heard Hate Dept, I'll have to check em out sometime. Appreciate the support!
It is great to see the massive appreciation this track gets and all these remixes ;)
Thought I would hop in and listen the original again on looperman,it is a really nice track you created.
It still carries the distinctive spivkurl kind of sound but it is really different from most of your stuff so it is good to see the creativity that goes into this ;)
Thanks for sharing this with all of us and allowing the remixes, it is fun to see how other people changed the track around too... but drifting off now haha
Thanks very much for listening my friend! It kind of blew my mind seeing what happened from this song. 7 minutes until the transition to phase 2 of Nightr8 poisoning is complete! I appreciate you always supporting me with your reviews and all!
Been hearing so many remixes of this this week i thought i'd drop by and remind myself of how the original went.
This track is becoming legendary. It's great.
Thanks for the return visit! I learned from ipods mainly, not to overlilsten to things... it can ruin them for long periods of time. That's part of why I'm trying to shift gears now. Appreciate you support and friendship!
wowww Spiv ! is this youur voice ?
oh I'm just in love with your cuuuuuutie singing lol !
very very cool ! and a bit crazy lol !
ps:i used your drum loops in my last track.
please drop your words in my box about that .
tank you much much :)
Elena :)
Heh... yeah that's me! You're very sweet! I definitely admit to being crazy, but I think I'm learning to use it for good instead of evil lately. I am on my way to hear your track, thanks for using some of my loops! Hope you are well!
I really like this song- definitely going in my favorites. Everything matches up really well. I tried doing a remix of this but it didn't sound very good. Well done, Spivkurl!
hey dude,i really like what you got here im going to download the stems and try give it a more of a hiphop feel to this,.will upload when finish, thanks for the awesome stems pack btw
I don't think it's just the new equipment that's aided in your work. These last few tracks have been far and above. I think you've hit a re-invented creative streak, my friend. Not to take away from your previous work, but the last couple tracks have had a far more "professional" level. While, granted, the equipment does help with that, it's not what creates, composes, and arranges the song. That's all you, brother.
This track is a hard hitter for sure. It does have a sort of retro-80's-new wave-synth pop thing happening. But, only on the surface. When you dig into it a little harder, it's a pretty powerful and aggressive beast. I really like that filtered rise on the bass. It helps add to the intensity. With as busy as this song is, it's never crowded, or cluttered. You've done a killer job at arranging everything so it sits just right. But, you always do.
If I were to paint a picture to this, (Because that's my first love), it would be someone stuck in a spider's web while the spider closes in.
Take care, Spiv.
Aaron
Mighty kind of you to stop by! I'd be happy to hear a remix by you, if it works out for you! Let me say, maybe best to download it soon, as I'm thinking it's better for this song to burn out than for it to fade away if you know what I mean. I really appreciate your positive comment! I didn't realize this track would get the reception it did. Must be partly because it's not "adult content". Thanks much!
Hey buddy, thank you very much! It's nice that my song is your first track comment on Looperman! I'm glad you enjoyed the music! If you had a track on your profile I'd come review it for you! Take care, and thanks again!
i was very busy , so i heard first another members who remixed your track , they are great ,
so i hear your track now after theirs but yours still the best!!
real great track !
love the synths and i downloaded the loops ...
That means a lot to me friend! They have all been fun remixes to hear, I'm just happy people are interested. If you make a mix, I'd love to hear it! Hope you are well!
this track is sick as in amazing i wish i was as good as you at dj-ing keep up the good work and wait for your next one you track makes me happy and i just wanna jumps around my room and dance.
Hey, thanks very much! I am pleased to be the first comment you have left on Looperman! Hope you keep coming back at least for the cool indie music. Be sure that if you had any tracks posted, I would be there reviewing them! I appreciate the positive support!
Very enjoyable listen, sorry couldn't get here earlier, just listened to a remix and net played okies so thought would drop in before heading to bed, excellent work my friend for a genre you don't do to often, just downloading stem's as doing this, so looking forward to having a crack at this one, especially after listening to this and what you have done, never done a remix before so will be a learning curb for me so to speak, vocals very different but love it, even when you do this genre, you still have the spiv feel and touch on it, which is what I love about your tunes, has you sig touch/sound on them...fav'd my friend...Thank you for sharing this one and the stems...will let you know when my remix is up...Peace n Respect matey...Mosaic...
Hey friend, thank you very much for stopping in! I appreciate your comments on this track. That seems so surprising that you haven't done a remix before, as I think you would make some amazing ones! Hoping to be involved in your first one! Seems like some people like the vocals best, and some people like the music best, so I guess I'm glad I put both in there. Thank you very much for listening and faving this!
Hey thanks for listening and doing a remix! I enjoyed it very much! So far it's my second most downloaded remix kit, we'll see if it brings up the slack to become number one. I appreciate the comment!
Once again, all your personality here .... with the point culmination of research of the absolute musical. No of idleness for provided.
I love the fantasy that is sometimes a little difficult to assess but you are going to at the end of your ideas.
Continue in this way for our pleasure, in this style that belongs to you ....
Hello Dan, thank you very much for your kind and helpful words! I'm definitely enjoying this style, and in the future I hope to make something a little more original. I really appreciate you always giving you opinions and listening! Hope you are well!
prophet of doom vocals! big like! mix is outrageously cool! always a new sound, something fresh coming up around the corner. super mix Pat! big congrats!
Hey friend, thanks for stopping in! Doom vocals, that's interesting, haven't heard that specific term before. I guess it fits what I've been doing lately. Cool! Happy you enjoyed the mix! Have almost TOO MANY ideas lately, so I just have to pick one and take it to it's conclusion, so expect something different next time. Appreciate the support!
that bassline! :p nice mixing and also you got strangely captivating voice and how you use it (loved it in 'aerosol' too) and different style. I keep playing 1:05 to 2:15 over and over and over :) but that's just me, the entire track is great. very cool how you put the loops there for everybody. I am going to enjoy with Bass_Hook Pattern_130 BPM_F# minor (and the others) :D nice one!
Ha ha, yeah the bass was the first thing I got rolling when building this track, it's addictive. Thanks for the comment on the mixing, it took some practice to get it right. I appreciate that you enjoy my recent vocals, trying to get better. Funny that you're looping part of the song, sounds like you should get remixing...ha! Enjoy the remix kit! Thanks much for listening and leaving a review!
Wow, love the vibe. The track took me different places which is what I like. When a track doesn't grab hold of me I find myself going straight to listening to the technical side of it. I just grooved away here. I never thought of remixing anyone's tunes(too busy learning and trying to get my own ideas to sound good) but I'd love to give this one a shot. You'd be my first! (*/∇\*)
I appreciate the positive feedback very much! I'm happy it got you groovin, I guess that's what electro should do. Have fun with the remixing, and don't feel any pressure from me. It's all in fun, and for the love of music. It would be an honor to be part of your first remix. Thanks much!
Glad you enjoyed the stomp! I'm guessing you mean Mr. Weebl? I couldn't find anything from a Mr. Weeble... I guess I get it, most the stuff I heard didn't have much for vocals. Thanks very much for taking a listen and leaving a comment!
I wasn't sure exactly where you were going with this one at first..but about 20 seconds in I knew that I'd be delighted. Nice track, you really made the vocal & synth elements work together in this one. I like how you are not afraid to be yourself musically. Great Job!!
Hey buddy, thanks much for your supportive comment! The intro was a very conscious effort, and was meant to be a large contrast to other elements of the song, which could be subtly referenced later in the track. I think it worked out okay that way. Glad you enjoyed the vocal/synth play! I spent plenty of years not being myself, now I have taken measures to free that real me. Thanks for noticing! Hope all is well!
Good call my friend! I haven't stopped working on new stuff, and I'm unpredictable... never know what genre will pop up next. Thanks very much for listening and leaving a comment! And thanks most of all for the fave!
Hey Spiv, this is pretty cool track, I like the feel of the intro and then changes big time. There is a lot of dynamic things going on with this. Good job and keep it up.
Thanks much for the kind review! Glad you enjoyed the track! I guess part of the change is that the intro was a fully conscious creation, where as the verses were formed in my subconscious. I appreciate you taking a listen!
Another Awesome track Spivkurl! The track has a very upbeat groove to it. The bass is really sick and your vocals were great. The mix sounds pretty good too. This one's another Fav. Nice work as usual.
Thanks my friend for always being there to leave a good review! Glad you enjoyed the groove and bass, I was getting into it while mixing that's for sure. I really appreciate the fave! Thanks!
Word up, Spivkurl. Fine work here. I like people with some fuckin' character as most people seem not to have much. You're not one of them!
Bass and drums really kick it in this one and like it because it's not as weird and wonky as some of your others. A much simpler, cooler groove you can really move to.
1:15 stop is fun and would work nicely on the dancefloor. High sounds you return with are very cool. Pitch-shifted vocals?
Throughout the following section the tone and movement of the mid-range bass is just great.
2:16 get on the offbeat and get dancing a bit more, you bastards!
3:15 squelchy breakdown and distant reverbed vocals work well.
3:44 nice main theme return and you're doing a bit more in making those pitch shifted vocals (?) funky. Tightly sequenced and now very dancey.
You probably could have lost 30-60 secs on this (God, look who's talking) and it would still be fine. But going on for a while is just fine when it's this sort of fun party.
I can't really fault this one and I think the vocals work well too so 'tis a favourite for me.
Thank you very much for taking a listen and leaving the helpful review! I realize that we come from different worlds when it comes to music preferences, so it means a lot to me that you enjoy this song, and that you faved it! You're right, some of my stuff is "wonky", I guess that's down to my mental illness and my strange musical preferences. Those pitch shifted vocals are the word "electro" edited to have a sustain loop, and then played with on my midi controller as if it were a synth. Turned out pretty decent. I too like the movement of the bass on this one, it made the track what it is. You should maybe check out the "deconstruction mix" I included in the remix kit for this song, as it's more of a radio friendly length and stuff. Very raw though. Thank you again for your great review!
This is really retro sounding. It sounds like cyberpunk. You've done yourself justice here, that bassline is something straight outta the 80's but with a modern twist. I love the filtered effects you put on it and the vocal synthesis is brilliant. This is one of those tracks that could just go on forever.
Like the way you broke it down and brought in that cowbell thing and then that crazy synth that goes with it.
You might have been in a weird mood but this aint weird its really good.
FR
Hey, thanks, some good feedback you've contributed here! Cyberpunk makes sense to me... been rewatching Max Headroom lately, and watched Repo:The Gentic Opera again not long ago. I almost didn't remember what you meant by voice synthesis, but yeah it's there... ha ha... kind of just started thinking of it as a synth. I actually shortened the final arrangement, but if it could go on forever, maybe that means it's appropriate for remixing. I really appreciate you taking a listen, hear you soon!
Love the effect of the synth getting gradually louder after the 1:18 mark. The vocals are interesting as I find you have been excelling at that lately. The drums, as simple as they are are very cool and have a catchy beat. Things break out a little later in the track, there are some cool changes here. Well done Spiv, totally diggin this!
Thanks very much for stopping in to listen! Thank you for your support regarding my vocals, had to force myself to retrive my voice for this one...smoking and all ya know. This song relies heavilly on spontaneous automation to accent the changes, so I'm glad you think it worked okay. It was nice for a change not to focus on supercomplex drums, sometimes I put too much effort on that. Tried to save some things for later in the track, so it would build up nicely. I really appreciate the comment my friend!
Coming from one of my most dedicated listeners, this means a lot to me! Sometimes it pays to leave your comfort zone for a couple days, and I don't regret the outcome. Thank you very much for the listen, fave, and DL!
Freaky good, some dark disco going on here. Maybe we could name this genre Litho-Disco. As usual your vox shine for me, nice bass line. The synth line at 2:20 is nice. Love the ending. Great work Spiv. Studio is almost finished here in my new location so I can remix again. will be contacting you soon.
Steve
Hey, thanks so much my friend! Means a lot to me! As I said to MYXD, I wasn't thinking about offering a remix kit, but since two of my Looperbuddies are interested I will probably be giving it a try. I was trying to impart a little disco vibe, Litho-Disco...that's funny! I appreciate the supportive comment on the vocals, I found my vocal chords were a little weak on this one, but I just kept on keepin on. I can't take too much credit for the bass line, save for the arrangement and mixing of it. Took me a few tries to get the ending sounding right, it needed to be balanced. Thank you very much for the listen and comment! I will contact you when the remix kit is ready!
Hello my friend! Nice to get a listen from you, as well as the comment! I hadn't thought about doing a remix kit for this one, but since you and crucethus are both interested, I might just do that. It's tough to tell how to go about exporting the stems, I'm thinking in their raw state. At the same time the groove and progression rely heavilly on automation of effect sends and stuff. Anyway, I'll get in touch with you when I have it figured out! Thanks for stopping in!
Hey man, thanks for stopping in! I think this one turned out good because I didn't overthink it. Turns out that electro is a pretty fun genre to make. I really appreciate your kind comment!
That is quite a mind bending bassline and vocals! Really liking the punchy beat. That electro bass with the filter rise is really nice and crunchy! Sounds good! I should probably be going to bed soon as I have to get up early but instead I'm sitting here blasting this and cutting some mad shapes haha ;) The funky muted wah guitar sound or whatever it is sounds nice too! This is getting faved fo sho! Well done.
Thanks for staying up a little late to crank out the new one! It's fresh from the flash drive. Was fine to try some slightly different approaches, so I'm glad you enjoyed it enough to fave! I've got those stems you made on my studio hard drive now, and will be working with them shortly. Appreciate you listening friend!
