If you have time take a listen and give Orlando51 some feedback.
Nice golden oldie. You have a lot of magic in your musical treasure chest :-). Nice flow and very basic synths. In this track the small accents make the track(like the triangle for instance). Definetly enjoyed the listen!
Hey, sorry I missed this one when you posted it, must have been during one of my blackouts! hehe Sounds like a piece from a Stanley Kubrick film, especially the first half.
I've never been to the desert and have always wanted to go. I get an ocean sunrise every day so I imagined that instead. The second half had sort of an Asian feel with the plucked instruments. I did get the feeling of discovery, a new day dawning even though there seemed to be some darker moments or tension in there as well.
Cool piece Orlando, it's open to many interpretation and it seems to be a hit as well!
Many thanks for this positive feedback! I'm on a very tight schedules lately so my new material will have to wait for a while to be uploaded, so I decided to give some more exposure to some oldies in the meantime and so I picked this one for no particularly good reason apart from the fact that it wasn't played too extensively before..:) Also thanks alot for faving it !:)
Hello Orlando ,
I haven’t seen this one before!!!!
This is brilliant and powerful.
You just need to keep at it (Been brilliant), for that, it goes in my Favs.
Well done
Jamid
Hi mate! Yeah, I decided to expose some older tracks until my new material is finished (for the weekend...I hope), although you can always see all of my uploaded work on my profile if you're interested..:)
Thanks alot again for this great feedback and the 'fav' !:)
Yeah, you're right...I always tend to exagerate a bit with those intros, but someone has to be the "intro guy" on Looperman, HaHa,...I can reveal you a little secret that one of my upcoming tracks will have even longer intro, yet I hope there will be no suicides..^^
Anyways, thanks alot for your honest and positive feedback...
Hi Orlando, I love this track. Well done :) I'm doing a time-lapse video and I just want to ask if it would be possible if I can use this track as a background music to it? All rights and copyright will be credited. Cheers!
You are most welcome to use my track in your video project...
Will there be any possibility to see that video on some link after it's done?
In any case many thanks for the positive feedback and for showing your interest for my work.:)
It is wonderful to stumble upon this wonderful song, especially since I live in the Mojave Desert and am now watching the sun rise in the east. You absolutely captured the magnificent essence of that moment when the sun tops the mountains. While the desert can be a hostile place, it also has its beauty. Spectacular use of pads my friend, mix is so tastefully done. Sometimes less is more, and this track illustrates that quite well. Definitely added to favorites and downloaded to have it to accompany tomorrow's sunrise. Thanks for that.
Holy Jupiter, Bear...I remember from past comments that some desert was mentioned in connection with you, but I wasn't paying attention, so I had no idea till now, and..:) this was kind of a surprise..:)So in some way I composed a piece for you without knowing it...haha...it will now have much better
place in it's creator's opus..:)
Thanks alot my friend for this great comment and I wish you beautiful sunrise tomorrow...
My brother used to be a punk rocker in his younger days but I think he didn't have such a broad taste in music as it seems you do...^^...thanks alot for listening and positive thoughts!
First of all thank you for the positive feedback. About that eastern sounding instrument...I made it up with the help of
DN-1 synthesizer which is a part of "Vita instruments" family.
Orlando,
At first I thought Cinematic but as the song progressed, I realized you were correct with the genre.
What can I say? Magical ear nectar and an easy ride.
Well done.
Mark.
Categorisation of music is one thing I'm least concerned with
although I'm well aware of different musical styles. But foremost I'm here now to say big thank you for listening and positive feedback..:)
absolutely lovce that big rich intro pad Orlando.....nice change-up at 2:12 as the theme continues....the deep bass around 3:07 is great....very cinematic...pictures for the mind.....sunrise once a day...so there is no limit to how many of these you could do my friend...haha.we should play to every sunrise.......another great listen & fav........Ed
Whoaaa...Ed, what a nice surprise!:) You came out of nowhere,
like a ghost, when least expected... It's nice to know you can still find some time to make a peek or two on what's going on with Looperman..:)
I uploaded this one already in May but it was there very shortly under "featured", so I decided recently to give it some more exposure and it seems it's getting some nice recognition. I'm particulary happy that you liked it and ofcourse thanks alot for the 'fav' and continuous support..means alot to me...
Still working on some of your material as much as time permits...will let you know...
hi again, thanks for your kind reply. However I do expect anyone to check out the links cause they are simply presenting my contemporary references and subjective perceptions for sure pointing to what I experienced in the past as a listener. Anyway they may be useful for some individuals in the process of developing their own sound - it's really hard to find some better possible musical references on this song. Good luck. Alex
hi Orlando. I love the first part - excellent atmosphere. This is definitely a kind of ambient I like: slow interfusing pads of great depth. Something Steve Roach-style: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSaryH9rOoI
From 2:11 mark the piece sounds like some relaxation-meditative tune. The midi guitar reminds me of some ancient Greek music, maybe a harp or some instrument with pythagorean tuning: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1z0zaGDzlQ
Nice ideas for at least two tracks! I really enjoyed this one - well done! Alex
Again a impressive piece from you, ambient sound at its finest, right from the very start, this track takes you on a journey, very sweet pad right from the start, then when piano starts, takes you off on another chapter of the journey, don't really know what else to put here matey, except BIG TIME FAV...So love this track mate, extremely rare I download a track, but this is a must download...Peace n MUCH Respect...Mosaic...
Hi Mosaic....I have to apologise for a late reply cause I was away for quite some time...but many thanks for such a great feedback...I'm so glad you liked it.:)
This is very pleasant to hear! I really like the seond half especially. The plucked guitarish sounds are very cool, is that samples or synths or what? The subtle piano accents really add depth too. I don't usually go out of my way to listen to ambient anymore, but I wanted to hear your latest, and I'm glad I did! A very good artistic effort!
Well..actualy it's not my latest (chek the featured page to catch my latest)...you asked about guitarish sound...no samples of any kind were used here. I've made that particular sound with DN-1 synth.
Thanks alot for checking this out....much appreciated as always...
Yes, that central pad was a tricky one to make. I've build it very carefully combining numerous different pads before I came up with the final version and I think it turned out quite
nicely...thank you so much for recognizing some quality in it!
This is surprisingly good. The native Americans would agree with me! When I heard your track Orlando, I think of UFO's straight away, so I came up with an alternative title in case you need to redo/remix it - "The Secrets of Area 51."
Thanks for sharing this calm piece into a chaotic world. - B
Hi there, Billy...nice to have you here again. As always, you have interesting and in most cases unique observations of my music....I really appreciate your recommendation for the alternative title... usualy I don't change titles of my tracks once shared...but I can surely make another piece of music using that one you suggested-:), it's just that I have to wait for the visit of the Muse, and then anything can happen...
Many thanks for positive feedback and stay well, my friend...
Nice job here Orlando.
Really dig the pads as well.
Well produced for effective mood enhancement which is the goal. Ambient and Cinematic ? It can definitely work either or.
Yeah, thx....Actualy I've made four pad versions for the central pad and then decided to combine all 4 together. I hope I got nice result...and yeah, it's all about ambience here...no further than that:)
Don't know anything about that Fallout stg, but this is a stunning and pleasant journey on those synth pads and melodies...fabulous work Orlando as usual...
Hey, my friend...when you say so, then it must have some value:)I always appreciate your opinion with high regards!
You don't have to know anything about Fallout cause it's really of no importance here. The reference to it is just in it's title..Mojave desert is the prevailing environment in Fallout...that's all.
Thx alot as usual...hope all is well in the neighbourhood...
0:16 bit of an industrial sound. Sort of reminds me of Terminator soundtracks by Brad Fiedel.
0:52 a bit robotic now and then it moves into a big, heavenly beautiful pad that's kind of also sad.
2:11 new instrument arrival is good but maybe the playing is a bit too programmed. Doesn't sound quite natural but it's a good sound. What is that instrument?
Overall, there's not enough happening to make it really interesting to me (as a standalone piece) but it would suit some sort of cinematic use where you don't necessarily want too much going on.
Yeah, I'm doing more static stuff lately...like painting pictures, so I can easily understand it can't be of much interest to you..you're a man of movement::) But otherwise, thx for quite positive comment...could have been worse..haha...btw the instrument you hear is a vst versiom of japanese Koto...the instrument that some people thought I've used in the "Beijing Tapes" but I haven't (It was Yanqin there)and this even caused some controversy for no good reason. The use of it was completely coincidental and unintentional...I was trying out some sounds and this one came my way and it sounded interesting to me and it fitted in incredibly well.
All in all...yes, it goes no further than ambient/cinematic, but then again this was an intention and it was a quicky one to make:)
I do not know anything about this game, neither its the musical theme (probably too old to take an interest in this matter) but what you have created here is very well.... This is a good concept with musical elements allowing the escape..
Congratulations .... It's very good for me.
This music has nothing to do with the game, but it's title could have some reference to it. I did this within a spare time between some more ambitious projects...I hope it will go well...
Anyways, thx alot again for showing interest in my work and thx for the 'fav'....
Hey this reminds me of the game fallout. Just kidding (i have no idea what that game sounds like)What i do know is that this has some great asmosphere to it. I think ambient stuff is under rated because it takes patience to make those atmospheres and soundscapes. I like the chinese sounding instrument that you used, i like the pads. Hell! I like the whole thing, it's mystical and relaxing.
Well done.

Description : Headphones are recommended for a more immersive experience :P - - - A weary American soldier is walking through the remains of what used to be a small town in the middle east, only to rediscover the horrible reality that sometimes war can affect even the ones who have no part in it.

This is my first attempt at creating a virtual environment to tell a story and convey emotion. Hope you enjoy! Comments are welcome!
Description : the other end of the scale from me, yep people, this is a ballad. its for all the people who have lost somebody long before their time was due,
i used my experience of tragic loss and how i hid my mental health issues that stemmed from it while writing it, its repetitive but has fresh verses
its to Matthias music Du Bist Nicht Mehr Hier almost the same title, He has suffered too that's why he wrote the music and dedicated it to his brother. i hope i have done it justice
Description : This track contains several loops, all of them are from looperman artists - listed below. I don't know if "ambient" fits well for it, but i get most loops from that category. :)
Inspired by the Final Fantasy series and my ex girlfriend. Hope you will enjoy it (not my ex! :D). As always, free to use for a song, any opinions-critics welcomed... UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!
Description : Working with DarkKZ by Beatskillz, Synthmaster 2.9, Waves Bass Fingers, Microtonic drum synth, Izotope nectar 3 elements, Ozone 8 Elements & several other plugings I'm trying for the first time. The vocal samples are from Ghosthack, LANDR & Sampleswap. Hope you like it. Cheers.
Post script: The word "Ambient" has come up several times in the comment section for this, so I switched the genre to that. Thanks for the input. I really appreciate it.
Description : I made this with Garageband and was inspired by Anime music, such as Naruto. And if you noticed one little part is very similar to one of the melodies.
Description : ambient, guess i was trying to blur the lines between soundscape and music or something like that. will still edit here and there. put it on, lie back and sift. bass loop from LM's megapaul - darktimes and danwilson - drug induced crush
Description : Depression and sadness can sometimes serve as motivation for creativity as in the case of this track. A few months back I went through a period of loosing a few friends and co-workers. Attended a few funerals and as a result found myself reflecting on life. One night I had the urge to try to transfer my feelings into music and this is what came out. Some baratone guitar accompanied by synth and accapella.
Final EDIT: Further tweaking on levels and a slight change up in the timimg of the choir section.
Description : Hello,
this is a track between composition and cover.
Amandine (Sova Berry or Dine on soundcloud) made a cover of the a cappella "Song of Sophia" by Dead Can Dance.
I liked it very much, so i decided to make an instrumental with her vocals.
Hope you'll like it and if you want to comment, you are welcome, whatever you think.
Bye
Description : Ambient, Chill Out, Cinematic .... I´m not sure ... Take your headphones. Close your eyes. Start the engines and have a ride into the unknown. A spacy little trip from somewhere into anywhere outside. - U_P_D_A_T_E - I made a video to this track. So you can enjoy now the flight with open eys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON4u0bRZJ4k

grandiose "Pad" coming in 0:34...
beautiful scriptures, notes an innovative instrument.
has some extremely interesting variations over the course of the composition. I liked these variations, it always comes as a surprise in music.
I remember of his last compositions, something that has the same sense of "journey"
That's what I would say, "a journey of music."
I'm impressed with your story.
all respect my friend.
