Description : Been on the front lines of an age old battle, and feeling the depth of pain and trauma associated with it. Started this track quite a while ago, but decided to use it to free my tension. I'm calling this trip hop because of the tempo and everything, but that's not an option here, so I'll go with electronic. All made from loops, no synths or instruments, VSTi or otherwise. The Looperman loops I've used are listed below;

Thank you paulrail for listening to one that's getting old quickly! I still very much prefer the vocal version of this which was done soon after, as it enhances the perception of the feelings which went into making the song. Very happy that you enjoyed listening! Have a great day!
It's funny that you'd mention loops only. That's all I do. LOL. I'm glad it helped with your tension but it's added to mine Now..thanks..I'm so jealous of your stitcing..It's flawless..Just kidding on the jealous bit..However, your stitching is great..bet you can sew too! I can..LOL..
Great ride as usual. Glad I came to your page..good stuff in here man..
Hey Mr P thank you for the kind comment! The loops only thing was what the challenge was about, so I was constrained, but it helped me in the end. I was happy when this turned into a real song with vocals and stuff... even if my listeners weren't, heh. I do in fact know how to sew by hand, though I haven't done it in a while... I like macrame too. I really appreciate your stopping by lately, always good to hear from you!
Hey thanks much! Means a lot to me that you left a comment and faved this! If you get a few minutes, please give me your opinion on the vocal mix. Thanks quite a lot!
What can I say!? Funky as usual Spivkurl! You did well with this one. Sometimes stepping away from a project for a while gives you a fresh perspective. Nice job with this groove!
Hey, thanks friend for the support and feedback! Things definitely got fresh, you're right. Check out the vocal mix if you've got a minute (or four). Thanks!
Hey thanks buddy! I'm quite fond of the bass in this one as well, it's the tone that gets me. Really good to hear from you, be at your profile in a minute!
Very good use of loops, has a really nice groove,, mix is spot on too! This is right up my street, hard hitting beat, killer bass and some really nice little glitchy fx. What more can I say... Love it!
Hey thanks my friend! I really appreciate the support! This is going to be the final in a group of three songs on my new album, once I get the vocals all sorted. (Can't for the life of me remember the term for a group of three songs, but I know there is one!) I'm happy you enjoyed listening!
I really enjoy this track. I feel as if this is a deep Moombahton with different genres within it. The bass is powerful, and the sfx go perfectly with this. This has a great moderate tempo. It's simple to listen to as well. I enjoyed this alot!
Hey buddy, thank you for the support! I hadn't really thought of moombahton, but I see what you mean. The bass was fun to tune in, and after hearing a version sped up by 29 BPM I'm glad I used something deep. I am working on a lyrical version of the song, but will probably leave this up too, as it has it's own merit. Thanks again!
I love those vocals! Very mysterious. Everyone else said what needs to be said, but first. And since I don't know what battle you are talking about, I hope you stay safe!
Hey, thanks friend! I'm fond of the vocal sampling myself, and of course most of the credit goes to minor2go. I am actually really surprised at the reaction to this song. As for the battle, I'm basically just standing up for the rights of my friends while being harassed for it. I'm hoping the worst of it is over. Thank you for the wishes of safety, as things could get ugly if things have to be stepped up a notch. "This mutherfu*ker's gonna get my metal."
Thank you again my friend! We'll see if the vocals I'm doing ruin this or not. I really don't want to change the mix much, because it really did turn out how I wanted. Have been collecting loops a lot lately, and finally found a place to use some of them. I appreciate the feedback!
Thank you for the very kind comment! If I'm smokin, I guess my tracks should be as well...heh. Music is the best trip there is, and I'm glad you found it trippy! I am in the middle of forming the vocal recording for this song, so keep a watch! Thanks again!
I appreciate your positive feedback! I see that this is the first and only track you have commented, so I'm honored! You can be sure that if you had tracks uploaded, I would be returning the favor! Hope to see you around the Loop!
...my good looker friend and another innovation sharing...
it has a memorable rhythm & I can underestand U've atuned your membranophonic lines . I also like the way U've designed not a crowded space in this and all other sounds are playing us so suitable...well,but where is your voice ...so...?
especially according to musical form U've composed iT & also the tempO , Patrick .K is the best one who can compose a creative vocal melody & cool singing style for it with a
storied lyriX ...
by the way Pat whenever U may needed a gobblin voice in a role in your trax for fun , U-but only U-can count on me if that's your track I'll sing or talk instead of that role for U...take care buddy & many thnx for sharing.___B
Waking up to your words today has been the high point of a difficult week, so I thank you for that! I am so deeply honored by your offer of vocal contributions, and I'll have to keep it in mind while continuing this album project in the works. The mastering on this one is definitely different from my usual, not so extreme, and I think I'm going to try to keep heading that way. I will probably try to add some vocals to this after the challenge is over, as I don't really count that as a loop. Reading your words always helps change my viewpoint, and I thank you for that!
Thanks much for taking a listen! I'm especially fond of the bass in this one, just two loops by two different people, which have just some subtle differences, but compliment eachother when used as sections. Definitely considering some vocal work on this after the challenge is finished. I appreciate you support!
This track builds a groove very nicely and grows on me with time. The second half is really catchy with the vocalish "yeah" sample.
I think you could put a wicked reggaeton singer on it like elephant man and crush some ears. :D
Hey, thanks very much for the comment! Haven't heard about elephant man for a while! I'm thinking I'll do some vocals for it when I'm more prepared, and after this whole challenge thing is over. I appreciate the help!
Ho, that is a track i realy like! Dosend matter what style that is, it´s cool. Nice to listen to and do nothing else. This beautifull riddm and the sounds around, my mind starts singing to it. I think many singers would love to sing on this track, cause everything sounds right.
Hello new friend, I really appreciate your comment! I'm glad my mind singing is infectious! Who knows, maybe after all this looptrack jazz is over, I'll put some lyrics to it and sing it myself. Was nice to do a little something without the pressure of doing vocals, especially since it seems either the air conditioning is on, or they are working on the roads half a block away lately. Whichever it is, it puts noise in my recording that I don't like. Thanks very much for listening!
Thats some heavy bass going on there with some nice hoover noises. It's like electronic dub and its really good. I like the way you kind of hid that crazy lead in the background so that it has a presense but doesn't over power the bass.
This is a tuuuuune.
FR
Hey buddy, thanks for stopping in! Yep, bass ended up being a focus, and it seems like everyone is liking how it sounds so I'm happy about that. The hoover was a bit of an after though, hence the automated effect taking it over. Electronic dub, yeah that would work as a genre too, hadn't thought about that. I don't know which genre has more connotations dub or trip hop...? I wanted people to be able to find new things each time they hear the song, so that explains the hidden elements. Thanks very much for leaving a comment and for the fave!
First, best of luck with any battles you are fighting.
The song is cool, I could hear David Byrne singing on this one. The bass stands out, carries the rhythm. Drums sound pretty good as well. I like all the space here. makes the little things stand out more. The vocal sample, yeah, has some cool effects on it and is a catchy hook. Very well done Spiv, reaching new heights with this one. fav and a dl, thanks!
Thank you Wayne for sending good vibes! I have generally always looked up to David Byrne, so it made me excited to read that! Definitely wanted the bass to be potent, but not to the point where you couldn't hear anything else. As far as the drums go, it's tough... I'm not used to drums in loop form (at least not strictly) and when they are already mixed up it's a little harder to control certain aspects without effecting others. I did the effect chain on the vocal part a couple months ago when the challenge got going I think and didn't really change it. Thought it had a very dynamic effect this way. You've again made my day! Thanks for the listen and fave!
It whispered "hey, come here" I liked your selections and the theme you gave this mix. Its got the high and low stable leveled. Grooves and holds interest for me. Nice vocal sample 'Yeah' thrown in there, gave it that piece of air it needed to not get old. I actually 1st heard it yesterday and is what inspired me to get a fresh looped track uploaded for the challenge. So far most favorite track I've heard from the challenge this time. Thank you for sharing and for the inspiration too. How are you man?
Thank you very much for leaving a comment! It's kind of fun choosing loops, in a similar way to choosing patches on a synth, except you don't need to figure out the playing style that goes with the sound. The vocals were fun to mess with definitely, glad you like the sound of it! I'm glad I could help encourage you to be involved, this "challenge" seems like it's right in line with the ethics of the site, so I like pitching in a little. Thank you for the compliments! I am getting better with each day, though at the same time I feel like a different person now... we'll see how that effects my music. I am on my way to check out your track!
Great entry spiv. Like the vox that pops up so often saying "Yeah!" Has a nice straight forward groove to it, but most times I like when a track is like that. Agree with midisparks as well with mixing the lows in well, that is hard to manage. Took me a while to even get halfway good at it. I'll scratch you off the list then! peace
Thanks friend for the listen and support! I do like how the vocal part turned out, I think the effects I used gave it kind of a flow from the speakers kind of feel. Glad you liked the bass mixing too, I've been getting even more heavy handed on EQ cutting than before and I think it's paying off. Thanks for getting the challenge on track!
what a pleasant journey.
mixed perfectly (as usual) and good choice of the sounds (even if they are all loops coming from different people, they are "homogeneus" and sit perfectly in the mix)
Less disturbing than your usual things... but enjoyable all the same.
Ciao, Domenico (who is looking forward to hearing another track with Spiv's vocals)
What a kind review you've given me! Thank you! I've been experimenting a little mixing wise, and expanding my mixing style a little, so I'm happy that you still find it listenable. I like trip hop, partly because it's listeners are very open to variety in sound, tempo, and style. I'm sorry I have disturbed you in the past, though admittedly it probably won't be the last time. Been working on some new lyrics lately, so hopefully it won't be long! Thank you very much!
i really marvel at how well you mix the lows. that is the hardest bit for me. your choice of loops and mixing of them is superb. thoroughly enjoying! i hope you are winning that age-old battle! cheers, Pat!
Hey, thank you for stopping in my friend, it's always good to hear from you! I'm happy that the bass side of things is leaving a good impression, as I've put a lot of effort into learning how to keep it sounding good. Between the loops I find on Looperman, and the others I've collected over time, I have a lot to chose from now. That really helps when limited to loops. Thank you for your well wishes, I think the old bastard is staying in his place now and not murdering that I can see. I appreciate the comment!
Mate as promised here, very impressed with this track, like said in mail, a vibe that makes you want to move, tapping ya feet, nodding your head, something about the piece, excellent clarity, agree with Renz sometimes if not all the time, little is more and this track proves that you don't have over crowd a track to make a excellent listening piece, very impressive work friend...Peace n much Respect Pat...Might still upload that track tonight, still bit in a downer mate, so see how I go...Mosaic...
Hey my friend, thank you for stopping by to brighten my day! I think the urge to move was a driving force in this music, and if I had made it a little faster I may even have called it "braindance." Trip hop seemed to work for this tempo though. I wanted something where each time you hear it, your senses dig a little deeper and find something new. I'm very sorry to hear that things are difficult for you, and I hope things are on the upturn. Thanks again!
Sweet, thanks man! That's kind of what I was going for. All credit goes to the loops, not all of which were from Looperman, but several. The two bass loops I used went so well together, it actually really surprised me. I really appreciate the comment and listen!
Cool intro but then the bass kicks you in the face! haha The tempo can't be downplayed IMO. It's the pace that holds everything together. You seem to have a knack that I like. I can't describe it except maybe 'less is more'? If that makes sense? Kinda like, let the song play out rather than what can I jam in here. But that's what you'd expect a guy that's into minimal wave to say, haha. Not that this is minimal wave of course :)

Hey friend, thanks for stopping by to listen! I agree fully that the tempo was instrumental in getting this song to feel right. I have been known to jam a lot into my tracks at times, but I've been trying to focus on instruments that matter, and go from there. I appreciate the positive support! There's really very few styles of music (especially electronic music) that I don't enjoy, but yes I've been loving minimal lately. Thanks very much!
Hey Mate, sounds special, i remember a track at looperman...don´t know the Name, with a didgeridoo Melody at the beginnig, this Track fits perfect to your Work :)but thats in my opinion. Well done Bro*, hope you find your Peace with it :))
have a nice day>=0)DRO
Hey Buddy! Thanks for being the first to leave a comment on this one! I've heard several tracks around here with didgeridoo in them over the years, so I couldn't begin to guess which one you mean, but at the same time I understand the connection. Was a bit of a challenge going back to something I started months ago, as I've been finishing things in short bursts mostly of late, but I had a good structure built and it worked out well. Thank you also for the well wishes - I think we're winning the battle if not the war. Take care!

Description : Feel free to check out the video on YT as well (Alan McLaren Project - Upside Down) of this 6min journey from electronic to rock with some psychedelic moments...
This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : This is a strictly groove track where the elements of ambient meets electronic funk and Hip Hop. I play all instruments on the track excluding guitar solo which was performed by my friend Art Miller.
Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.

Description : Far out mid-tempo fat beat deep chillout grooves with Eastern/Arabic and slightly menacing vibes, huge delayed synth bass and a great palette of psychedelic layered and intricate sounds (mostly synths) and a stirring, epic feel. Even has guitar solo section reminiscent of some 80s power rock which is then followed by a brief synth harp solo. I began making it straight after staying round the flat of the flute player from the legendary Ozric Tentacles - easily the greatest ever space rock band. I made this in about 2001 and still think it might be my best track (and it's nice and short, for a change). My production skills were much weaker in those days (no EQ, compression or mastering used here) but, somehow, this one turned out pretty much just right. Feel free to disagree. Now sit back and get ready to trip extremely far out. If you manage to return, let me know how that trip was...
Great ride as usual. Glad I came to your page..good stuff in here man..
