Description : Hey guys, back here with another game/movie like track. This track was inspired by a cute little mouse who recently found his way into my home. Unlike most people, my family and I decide to keep it as a pet. Which is the reason why I wrote this song. The song was made on the piano, then put into the studio where I worked on it some more. This track is not done, as the mixing needs a little more work, so please forgive me if you can't hear all the sounds clearly. Thanks for stopping by, and hope you enjoy!

Well done! Unfortunately I don`t have any comments, cuz everyone mentioned everything! Only that rhytmic section can be more softer breakbeat style, that 4/4 beats not really work out for me in this case, but anyway well produced! Cheers!

Thanks Analog! Sorry for the late reply, just now seeing your comment. I agree the drum beats could have been done better, maybe later I will try changing it. Thanks for stopping by, take care! :)

Man you can't see me but there is a big smile on my face right now. All this inspired by a mouse, just brilliant!

Pets are important family members too. And they don't judge either! Nice piano work here and an upbeat track altogether. I hope the little wee mouse loves it too!

Really nice intro with the piano and the bass. I wasn't expecting the beat to be so pumping in a chill out tune but it works really well. The harmonies are great. The synth that comes in towards the end of the track is nice as well.
Really enjoyed listening to this tune.

Thanks FR! The synth was actually going to be taken out because it didn't sound right when I was working on it. I'm glad, I left it in there because after listening to it for a bit I realized it works perfectly. Thanks for stopping by, take care!

I absolutely love how you made this song from a mouse. The song tells a story which fits perfectly with what you've told us in the description. It has a simplistic sound, but also is bouncy and fun to listen to. Your motivation levels are very high. I'm glad I was able to listen to this. Your piano patterns were executed beautifully. As if the piano resembled the mouse, perhaps? Nevertheless, nice track!

This is so wonderful. I want to say "playful" meets "joy." Does that even make sense? Also, I'm glad you guys kept the mouse as a pet! Wonderful job with this one!

hi, very nice track. a kind of a quick house feel. maybe its bacause I basically make an acoustic-based music and am always trying to find resonance from the bassline, lower piano notes etc... - that's why I would say I need some more presence of some piano harmonics enhanced here as well... Anyway nice synths sounds!
I guess this is much more of a clubbing-oriented chillout and it works good here! Alex

Modnex replied 11th Oct 2014 - 10 years ago
Thanks Alex! Happy you liked what you heard. This track does have a sort of house feel to it, because of the 4/4 drums I used. Most if not all of my songs use that because I'm normally a house artist.

Thanks for your two cents, take care!

Nice piano in the beginning, but in my opinion it's just a little loud for this genre... But that's just my opinion :) Also cool idea of putting dance beat at 0:55! Melody is flowing through the whole song with few variations and it really sounds good :) Nice job here!

Instant fav from the first second of those lovely pianos...
For me it's a cartoon standard :-), I mean hit single :-)

Like the groovy and I think the mix is fairly good...

Dear Modnex:

Love the music and especially how it's so peaceful at the beginning and suddenly the drumbeat kicked in :) Really nice job! I believe this little mouse has a really interesting adventure :D

I'm looking for a nice background music for my new showreel. If it's possible for me to use this one? It would be great if it's possible cause the tune is exactly how I imagine for my showreel!!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day! :)

Description : Sounds of the sea and trippy acidy washes with a cool beat and some live acoustic guitar. Written in Cubase with live guitar and keys etc. The sound of the sea and birds was recorded on the beach where I used to live. After moving to the city one sunny day I was telling stories to a friend about living by the sea and started making this track.

Description : I used some new "Anthem" pickups from L.R. Baggs on my Martin acoustic to see how it performed, and it definitely beat my expectations. Captured the sound perfectly as I needed.

Anyhoo, this song is almost a prayer, hence the repetitiveness of the verses. As Christians, we believe that God will one day return and take away every suffering and all evil for good; in that regard, this song is almost one of waiting too. Very simple, with vocal harmonies and whatnot. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Made in 13 hours.

Someone else wrote the words, I was just inspired to use them. I only added the "Yeah" and "Amen."

Description : So a guy buys a nice guitar at a pawn shop but returns it a few days later after waking from a sound sleep to hear it playing by itself. When he tells of his experience he is shocked to learn the owner had actually died while playing it. Is it fantasy or truth? Is the guitar in this track that very same guitar? Its all part of the mystery and fun of Halloween !
EDIT: modified ending to a deeper voice

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this. In my heaven there is an endless supply of honey mangoes (an exquisite beauty of the fruit world) and even more slide guitar. A 1,000-year-long version of this track plays there on a loop (long enough not to get bored of it) but here I offer you the Earthly 11 min version. You must be very good to be accepted into my heaven to hear the full thousand year version so best start now. It may be heaven's main theme tune but it's not above criticism so feel free to let me know what you think of it. Maybe you prefer the soundtrack in hell. I hear it's pretty badass...
