Description : Instrumental piece. Guitar. Electric Piano, Bass, Congas, Synthesized drums, strings, etc. Has a kind of Brit sound. I've never played a Wurlitzer piano, but just for a change, I used a Wurlitzer patch here. The first guitar verse was processed to get a very unusual sound. Hope it's not too much! Some versions sounded a bit clownish, hence the name. I hope you like it, or it gives some ideas. not sure about the genre. Some of it is rock, but not all.
A new version {4/16/2015) makes changes based on the reviews I received. Thanks everyone

Takes me to a sunny beach in the 80's. I think it's got potential to be a top track. I think the conga could be dropped entirely and the track wouldn't lose any substance because it's quite relaxing. The second clown guitar at 2:43 takes me out of the moment. There's also some technical issues. Some substantial audio clipping between 3:47-3:48. And a few minor audio clipping type noises between 3:54-3:57.
I can't thank you enough for this great review. I'll look at the issues that you've raised, and see if I can fix them. It's hard for me to drop the congas, because they are my new toy :), but let's listen without them and see if I can bear to do it.

By 'light' I mean weak, lacking in balls, attitude, edge, vibe, body etc.
I make a fairly broad range of music, which also includes a lot of chillout so I often use quite a few sounds on the lighter side of things.
I have to be very careful that they don't come out sounding weak and cheesy. There's quite an art to this. Clean guitar can sound very weak in the wrong context but sometimes adding distortion can be completely wrong so you need to go with the clean but make sure it's not sounding weak.
Various ways to fatten up and give these sounds more attitude but I guess you won't as these are no doubt the kind of sounds you're into. As always, if you like them, go with them and don't change a thing. I'm just expressing my opinion ie honest feedback.
I thought this one deserved some feedback as the musicality is good. Not my sort of sounds but would probably make more sense with a romantic vocal. I still probably wouldn't like it (ie if it were a cheesy vocal) but I do respect it.
Good luck getting to the 80s. There's some serious cheese to be found in 80s sounds so beware!
Many thanks for taking the time to clarify the term.
My problem isn't that I only enjoy the sounds I produce. I'm kind of locked into a place where it's hard for me to see outside. Sometimes I have dialed back the aggression level because I don't want to hurt anyones ears. I'll try to find a way to get nearer the edge for a bit, and see what happens.
As far as honest feedback is concerned. It's far more useful to throw down your honest perceptions, than merely rubber stamp something, so I'm grateful to hear your real opinion
I agree about the cheese that was present in the 80s.
anyway, thanks, and take care

I think cinematic is a good choice. To me it sounds like tv theme music for a show or perhaps music to into/outro a scene. It sounds a bit dated, like SN said maybe the '70's. I can almost picture Bob Newhart jumping into bed with Susan Pleshette... and Mary Tyler Moore, lol.
It's certainly easy on the ears, relaxing and the mix sounds even. Nowadays, we have these daws with thousands of sounds and effects, might as well use them and see what they do. Nothing abrasive or poorly done, they seem to add a certain feel and atmosphere to the song.
Many hanks for the review Wayne. I think I have too many miles on the clock to sound contemporary. Still I've managed to get to the 70s with this one. Maybe I can get to the 80s next time. :)
I appreciate the musicality in this one. Makes me think of 70s rock quite a bit.
I don't love all the sounds as I find some a bit light (probably the high string part and brass). Actually sounds like it could be a successful 70s romantic pop song. Or romantic film theme tune.
That guitar lead starting 1:17 is really quite romantic but also quite a light sound.
This one should probably have vocals to go with it as I can hear all the necessary changes for a singer and you're guiding them throughout in terms of melody.
Very proficient arranging and instrumentation, a good length and a good, definitive end.
Many thanks for the review.
I tried to add more edge than in the past, but now I'll think some more. Would you mind helping me understand what you mean by "light". It would help me find how to improve these sounds.
I would definitely work with a vocalist, if the chance comes.

Description : Ok...here it is! Another colab with maestro Tumbleweed! Ed provided the unfinished, basic track...I composed and recorded the long intro using different synths and then added piano (well to the fore) and some brass arrangements along the rest of the track (no violin this time...hehe) and then did the final mixing to wrap it up as it is presented now. I hope you will enjoy it and we both appreciate your listening time and your valuable comments:) Otherwise all thanks to Ed!
Description : Just send me the link where you use that, please
Anyway, I'm looking for artists, especially doing melodic techno, deep house etc... to work in my music label called Chick Records

Description : Dark, slow, ambient, cinematic jazz with funereal piano turning into something much funkier, psychedelic and beautiful in the second half. Out of the darkness and into the light, you could say. Instruments: electric guitar + bass, lots of synth sounds, including a horn, double bass, another big legato bass, pizzicato strings, two types of piano, a heavily delayed slide guitar instrument, zither, synth arp, one brushy drum loop, kettle drum rolls and 4 programmed acoustic drum kits. This is quite a special track for me and is only the second I've put in the cinematic genre. The more you listen, the more it changes (it even has key changes) and the last three minutes are really quite far out and should probably be longer. Best track I've made for a few months. Interesting thoughts and reflections appreciated. Free sex for the best reviews...
This track is an elaboration of dgalantic’s track “Starting Over 0172257.” It is almost entirely comprised of loops by other artists on looperman. The newsreel in the intro section is from public domain footage of the Vietnam War. Prince Fatty chimes later in with some words of wisdom. The track was sequenced with Mixtikl and edited in Audacity.
Loops from the following artists are included:
1. ThatJeffCarter’s guitar “feedback 197765”
2. three of Nightingale’s harmonica trills: “angels 0088377, inner light 0088361 and never and never 0088366”
3. Heavily fx’ed vocal excerpts from Eshar’s “7th Dimension 0002644”
4. Dcmack’s rhythm loops “2 bass drums 1- 0085449, 2- 0085446, and 4- 0085448.”
5. Steelyvibe’s choral wash “luno frunezo 0005719”
6. Nightingale’s guitar loop “diving deep 0043488”
7. Rasputin1963’s chorals “ soul ladies gospel riff 0088641 and reggae soul girls choir 0087693”

Description : So a new track for everyone. Im pretty impressed by this one, and would even place it higher than one of my best tracks, Angel And A Demon. However, I'm trying to decide whether or not I should put vocals to it. I have some in mjnd, but idk if itd be better to leave as is and keep it instrumental or not. Take a listen and let me know! Also, let me know if anything is too loud, still working on my mastering.
Description : NEVER STOP DREAMING!
Love what you do and do what you love.
Made out of Looperman Loops!
Made in 2 Hours!

A very sophisticated mixture, which you have the secret .... Different approaches in this concept make this track a pleasant moment to listen.
