Description : Here is something a little different from me in my vocal delivery. This song was inspired by an incident which happened to a person who is very dear to me. This is an dedication to her and her new found strength.

Very interesting track. I wasn't expecting this at all, but I like it! The only thing I'd fix in this is the sibilance (mostly in the beginning). Nothing a few volume automations or a de-esser can't fix!
Thank you Enzotic for your appreciation of the song. I am working on the sibilance issue. My brother made a suggestion that I include a "male's " perspective to the song. So on the next upload, the sibilance issue will be addressed.
You can sing on my radio any day Twanna...this is really well done...meaningful lyrics...great job in the vocal delivery (there is a little sibilance in the lead vocal...notable most at the intro...easy fix)...right on accompaniment & nicely produced..guess that makes it all good.....This is the way R&B should be done...superb...a tip of the hat to you and a definite fav....bravo.....Ed
Thank you Ed for your kind words. It would be an honor to sing on your radio anyday. This style of "spoken word" is new for me, but I love trying something different, getting away from the typical.
a really great track. very real. not that ive heard thousands at Looperman but definitely one of if not the best. i was not going to critique but if your going to fade out the end I think at little more gradual. like someone said already a hit song here - only takes one
I love the extremely peaceful message of this piece. fine production as well! - so different from your other ones indeed. sweet and gentle reverb on vocals! the sound-image of this song reminded me a bit of 'In your wildest dreams' but only stylistically because your message here is so different and much more spiritual.
I am not familiar with guitar works by AllenV but I will check them out!
Very tasty track, outstanding vocal just drop the peaks not the
whole vocal track...
It's in a good place, controlling the front line...Where it should be...
Strong lyrics lots of love in them meaning full...
hey there twanna
great song structure , kool stripped back vibes, vox reminds me of one of my fave lolleta holloway ,really groovy stuff , look forward to hearing the updates on this ,
and will be checking your other tracks
What I like about it: Great R & B music well composed, awesome spoken word delivery, reminds me of a cross between Robbie Robertson and Grace Jones.
what I would like to see worked on:. I think for the chorus you are using a vocal harmonizer, I had one back in the day, I stopped using it years ago except for the reverb as it sounds too weird in the mix. I would love to hear you do your own harmonies line by line with the main melody being a little more out in the mix as you have a great voice. Allen V's guitar is very good. This is one that if you work at it would be an incredible song my dear.
Cru
Hey Cru, thank you for your appreciation and critique. Believe or not, I am singing all of the vocals. I am not using a harmonizer. My husband frequently tells me that my harmonies are so close they do not sound real.
I spent many years in school and church choirs and I would always sing along with each section as they were learning their parts, from first soprano to second tenor. That was how I challenged myself vocally and developed my range.
I am currently working on the levels. An update is coming soon.
OK - this is seriously good. The narrative is really powerful,
your vocals and phrasing are very good, the composition and structure is good but there are serious production issues that need to be worked through. I agree with Jamid -in the hands of a good producer this could be bonafide hit. Well done with the caveats expressed.
-clindsay
Thank you Clindsay for your comments and appreciation. All that you suggested is relevant and appreciated. I am working on it now. I should have the "redo" up soon.
Hello,
This track very good, creatively laid out . Nice RnB, however; your gain is too high that at the top end there is a distortion. Maybe it should be a touch lower this is my view though.
It’s great job though.
