Description : Update: Made some changes to fix the clipping issues, not sure if it's any better.
**Hey and hurray - I have a computer with a DAW in it again.
This first creation features Virginia Slimm and Future Analysis on vocals. No loops (because I simply have none on this computer...) and also therefore only a retarded sounding FL piano made in the piano roll and some very questionable drum patterns made in the same place.
Link to the amazing vocals:

Thanks for them and for listening.
About the genre - have no idea, do you?

Thank you SJ! I like the piano runs at the turnarounds particularly. Nicely done.

Very good feelings in this piece, and I love what I'm hearing in the lyrical work. I like Virginia Slimm's work very much, and you've used it well. Cool style on this, especially considering what I expected from a "dance" track. Reminds me of the early nineties folk revival a bit. Mixing down the FL piano was a great idea, much better choice for not revealing it's flaws. All in all, I love the song, and it speaks to me at this moment! Fave!

Hi Spiv!
I also love this vocal - it stands on it's own, no music really needed.
Thanks for the great response! Take care/ SJ=)

Hello,
This track very good, creatively laid out.
Nice dance, however your gain is too high that at the top end there is a distortion.
Maybe it should be a touch lower this is my view though.
It’s great job though.

Great little piece.
Love the piano and the vocals.
They go so well together.
Something very 70's about this.

Tjena SJ!:)

So nice to have you back! I already wondered where did you disappear..hehe...I won't talk about clipping...This sounds just excellent to my ears and that powerful piano is perfectly ok. Great choosing of vocals also. This will go to my favs although I'm another one who care least about genres, so I'm not an expert to tell you...All I know this is pretty damn good track and that's what counts the most!

Tjena Orlando!
It's good to be back, I've missed you all and felt really lost without a functioning daw. It has been a horrible spring and early summer - but it's a long story.

Thanks for the appreciation! The genre doesn't matter and I'm so glad you liked the piano anyway! I really put my soul into that piano roll...maybe I can polish it some later on 'cause it's a little clumpsy sounding like this.
Thanks for the uplifting feedback, really needed it.

Hope you are doing fine and enjoying your summer so far!

Cheers and take care/ SJ =)

Hey there, SJ! :)

That piano is really interesting haha. The bassline behind it add a strong punchiness that I really like :P The vocal at the beginning is a little too loud and clips at the loudest part - might want to bring that down just a bit or add a compressor to even it out. The vocal sounds really cool :D Really big and spacey. You did great making it fit to the music imo :)

Cheers!

Hi ER!
Thanks for the feedback - the "piano" yes...ehrm I needed some piano in my life after this long musical break and this is what came out of me. =D
I could probably replace some of it later, with some other fake instrument. :P

About the clipping in the beginning, noted. Thanks again!

Cheers/ SJ =)

Description : A psychedelic techno cello epic. It's not really techno as it's only 110 BPM but something like that (eg breakbeat), with lots of banging beats and arpeggiated acid synths, plus a whole load of my layered cello playing techniques. There aren't that many synths used but they do a lot of work and are carefully automated. No guitar. Drums are mostly a lot of drum loops, supported by a few programmed acoustic drumkits. Very busy and complicated with loads of different sections (funky, chilled, fast, heavy) that make up a constantly progressing trip. I don't know if there's any other cello music like this so let me know if you think there is. Interesting feedback appreciated - criticism, praise, ideas etc. Enjoy...

Description : Pretty basic dance track. Was experimenting with the Falcon synth plugin, hence the name. Instrumentation for the melody lines might be a bit unusual, more orchestral. Vocoder is from the Icarus synth plugin, a great new instrument.
