Wow! My favorite singer is back!
And what a track!
What you do in the first section is really remarkable: not many people could sing with such a "minimalist" background. You are a real talent!
The second part is a bit more "standard" but very well executed and spot on (maybe a more "fluid" transition at 2:00 could help in "gluing" together the two halves).
I have only complain, but it's a bug one:
I WANT TO HEAR MORE SONGS FROM YOU!
Oh hi my friend! :)
Happy to be back and read from you here & there!
You're right Domenico, this sounds real awkward with these too different parts. I should've worked more on it but I'm so in love with that beautiful song.
Daccordo mi amico, I'll upload more thingies asap.
Take good care,
Kiss & hug,
Carole
hello.
the first section sounds really stylish. The transition around 2:00 with male choir is quite strange but that second part is interesting. Overall those 2 sections of the track seem a bit disconnected for some reason, at least to me. I guess it was intentional so I won't bother.
I just checked the original on yt. Your vocal version is definitely much more western-influenced but it is still very evocative. Your vocal possibilities are really impressive.
I enjoyed listening, Thank you for posting this song. Alex
Hello Alex and thx for your nice and detailled comment :)
You're right about the intended disconnected parts. Sounds a little awkward, I know, but I wanted to create a sort of soothing after a tensed beginning. Sthg like a hopeful opening.
Merci for your visit & words,
Peace,
Carole
Oh, it's so good to hear your voice again, and the improvements you have made through life experience! I know that I have heard this theme before, and it makes sense as I used to listen to gypsy music several times a week. I feel for your dark times, as I know that there is so much pain in this current. I'm just happy to run across one of your songs in the rare moment that I feel like listening to streams now. Thank you for sharing! Fave!
Hello Spivkurl :)
Merci beaucoup for your encouraging and supportive words :)
I used to hang around with gipsy people once and discovered a brilliant culture, be it musical or cinematographic. Just wanted to pay a tribute to those friends.
I'm real happy you know (and recognized that theme, lol).
Thanks again,
Peace,
Carole
Erm.. thanks a lot but what's that "though" at the end of your sentence ? I don't get it, I'm sorry.
You're right, I did use some Persian instruments. I love them and thought they matched the thing well, that's it :)
Merci for your visit & words,
Peace,
Carole
Unbelievable pipes Carole. This is the first track I've heard of yours, so I have to make a point to check out your repertoire. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I have no idea what this song is or have any familiarization with Bregovic's work but I do recognize and appreciate a beautiful voice.
Thanks for letting us sample your amazing talent.
Hello Neomorpheus,
No need to feel embarrassed at all, please !
None of us knows everything and everyone, huh ? :)
I do thank you for your very nice comment (and surely undeserved !).
Peace,
Carole
Pretty Cool. It would be good if there was a collaboration coming up. I'd like to see what your song would sound like with somebody else's style of sound thrown in as well.
Well hello again Carole you did have a good sense of timing to release these deep messages. Dig the instrument sounds and vocals, did you put everything together yourself? Felt cinematic to me I liked it and your voice and lyrics really share a strong view of hope. Nice. I enjoyed the ideas here, thanks for sharing. Peace.
Hello Dave,
Nothing much to say about the "music", honestly.
It's just so moving to get back here and come across friends like you...
Thank you from the bottom of what's left of it.
Take care.
Nice place to be lost, when one looks beyond ones nose and
travels beyond what one can see, they are not lost...
They have found that place we all seek, that is the place where
Ideas are born dreams are lived, "The walk about" that transitional
place of growth...Take time to understand it all, just got to live it... :)
Your talent tells me, GOD gave you a gift, that he only gives to his
Angels that sing for the world, when they are here...
It is a gift that you must learn to enjoy and not let it destroy you
as a person...I'm sure you've seen them by the wayside...
This is more then Beautiful it's Magical I would like to hear more...
And will look at your page...
I don't know how to speak what I felt while reading your comment, TG...
May God bless you for your words that reminded me how good it feels to be alive. T'was so dark where I've been. I'm sorry, it's still quite hard to get back in touch with the world...
Be welcome on my page. May you survive my poor music skills :)
Merci, from the deep,
Carole
Hello Orlando,
Erm no, I really can't accept any compliments from you about the music, as I told Ed.
I thank you for listening to my humble try on that piece you visibly know.
Brekovic surely heard it sung by an angel while sleeping.
Merci for your words.
That transition to the last section (around 2:00) is great Carole...but so is the whole performance....So good to hear that talented voice of yours again...its been a long while....Bravo..Ed
Hello Ed,
So good to get back here... Far from the surrounding dirt. Erm...
I just wanted to try singing that beauty of the gipsy folklore. The music around is crap, nothing compared to what true musicians like you, Behnam, Bear and loads of others here are able to do.
Music and true love are the only treasures on earth to me now.
I've missed you and the fam...
Hug and kiss.

Description : Inspired by traditional turkic and mongolic old music. The choice of instruments, such as oud and Daf, are an inspiration from the turkish culture and some rythm styles are inspired by mongolian music. I Hope you enjoy it and have use for it.
!!"If you want to use this melody please tag my Instagram account or my name "Ashina_Beats" and let me hear or see what you make with it :)"!!
Description : This track is an experimental version of the popular Hindu mantra Om Namah Shivaye, wonderfully sung by Ankit Sharda. The female background vocalist doesn't want her name mentioned in the credits.
The song was created on Caustic Beta Version 3.8, and mastered on Mastering Beta Version 5; both Android apps from Single Cell Software. The new Sawsynth synthesizer in Caustic was used in the background & synth bass (paired with another bass).
Description : i love trance . i love house. i love dubstep.
but i also loooooove world music.
i first listened to this track and i thought it could use some oomph. i like to use that word a lot.
shows ya how old i am. it does sound better, though.
Description : A track that I don't really know the genre but I think it is chill out. Give out your opinions on this track. Credits for the loop to haidarjasem.
Description : It is a music created with logic pro x, with African flavors, the beat was created with maschine studio and all instruments in midi.
If you download this music to use thank you to put feat damusika and go on my soundcloud to put a like
thank you
Description : Not sure about the sideboards on the Ethnic genre. Trying out new sounds here. I'm using sitar and marimba with Indian and Indonesian drums. Does the listener need a solo or spoken word after the melody or does the open part work by itself?
I think it's a good piece. Almost.
Description : Hi there! Well, this track is a kind of test of my newest acquisition: The Epic World library. I don't know how to use it well yet; but I'm trying. This track was made on Magix Music Maker 2014 Premium. I hope you like it. Thanks! SUN & MOON... FIRE & ICE HEART... LIGHT & DARK FUSION...
Description : This is a Latin -Spanish flavored tune. In fact, I don't see a catagory for it so I put it under 'Ethnic'.
I eat now and then at a 'Mighty Taco' resturant near me and decided to call this one "El Nino". :-)
This tune is kinda off beat for me, but I am sure someone on here will like it. Made from loop a CD I have full of Nylon guitar loops only, I purchased early last year, and put together with other loops and synth for weird effects.
Ha.....maybe I am getting weird since my last tune was heavy metal!
Hope you like it.
Randy
