Description : Here's a lil' acoustic instrumental I never wrote words to. Used a Guild acoustic guitar mic'd with an AKG C214 and my trusty ol' Yamaha MOX8 for other instruments (excluding shaker - that was real ;). Description : Again, another early production from like two years ago. I had a cheap little Yamaha acoustic guitar that I borrowed and mic'd and some congas that were given to me as a birthday present. I used my iPad GarageBand app to record the strings and the big bass drum thingy at the interlude and little electric guitar parts in there too haha. All the vocals were done by myself and my brother throws in some little things here and there with his voice :P Enjoy!

Your music especially your guitar skills is amazing. But your stuff goes beyond your skill with the guitar piano and whatever you play, you also have a very creative mind and your music is always very inspiring and a pleasure to listen to.
And damn your mixes are clean man. Among the best of them.

I've been playing guitar since I was in the 8th grade - just kinda picked it up, my brother showed me the G, C and D chords. I didn't like standard tuning so I changed it to open D; this song was recorded in open-D :P I learned standard tuning later. Music runs on the boys' side of the family so it came a little bit easier for me than for some.
The clean mixes are just the accumulation of 3 years of trial and error, nothing fancy :P

Your verses remind me of Goo Goo Dolls' Iris. Mostly the strummed rhythm. Sounds really well recorded.
What can be said about this that has not been said? Cleanly done and pretty slick sounding. Nothing I've never heard before,(not unique or exciting), but I could not pull it off sounding as good as you have here.
This track just needs unique vocals and lyrics to make it special. Sounds great as is, but needs something to make it stand out.
I hope I was not too negative. I like receiving criticism, though I'm learning that others are not as receptive.

I keep expecting your voice to appear in this. I can kind of hear it in my head - guess I've got to know it quite well.
I can also hear that the structure is perfectly suited to songwriting.
Lovely, warm guitar sound. You're definitely good at recording/processing it.
There's also a pretty effective string sound on this (maybe more than one) and the twinkly bell stuff adds some useful extra vibe.
No criticism on the production as it's full and at fat and I'm not missing the lack of drums. Shaker is good enough for the groove.
