Description : This is something unusual stuff from my side but something very special. First thing i have to say is that Phatkatz made a cigar box guitar by himself and loaded a blues loop up. Next thing was that i just played around with a virtual accordion that is inside my new DAW. the third thing is that i watched a picture on audiosparksforart. And all together fits so excellent that i send it to the side as "music for art" .... then Dan (Midisparks, the owner of audiosparks) told me that there was a contest on his side and this little track was inside. http://audiosparksforart.com/project/red-velvet-hat/ And what shall i say - I won with this one - comments always are desirable. -joe-

Iam a big fan of Phatkatz4,you have done good work,it is simple, but original, good for lifting up a spirit, when it is low!cigar box guitar+accordeon=blues!
Thanks a lot slava72 for your friendly comment.
I always enjoy the work with Phatkatz and or his loops. And i also enjoy it when people taking them self some time to listen to tracks that are not on the featured list.
Good to know that you think that i had done some good work with Burts CBG loops and that you could enjoy this little world/blues track.
Nice virtual accordion sounds ! It goes surprisingly well with that bluesy loop.
I really like coming across such tracks. It's completely different and offers a refreshing taste of original music.
Nice work, thanks for sharing !
Good to know that there people around who still like and listen to different kind of music.
It's also always refreshing to make different music.
Thanks for your friendly comment.
Very fun song this is! I don't know if you've heard of the group, but this reminds me a bit of Tiger Lilies, minus the crazy vocals. Enjoy their stuff, especially when I'm very inebriated. I could definitely hear this being great with your vocals, but I understand wanting to do instrumentals every now and then. Very fun listen, and good use of the virtual accordian! I just picked up another magnus chord organ recently, and can't wait to play and sample it... they have a sound similar to an accordian but use a keyboard which directs air from a fan through reeds. It's a model 399 from around 1970, and is the best condition one I've ever seen. Fun. Thanks for sharing this song! Fave!
Hey Spiv,
I totaly understand what you mean about using it with my vocals on. I had or better lets say have that in my mind but i am sure that it will change the over all feeling of the track dramaticaly and then it will not fit to the pic anymore. So i put it to the side an thought i do it better later ....
If i had more space at my home i would collect also a lot of older instruments but i haven't :(
Not the usual Cramer sound as you said. But you made a nice nostalgic track which is really telling a tale. I have favoured it on the link and hope you are able to win. I also agree to use some guitars in it. That would give a real fusion of different genres to the table. Nice to see you are experimenting.
Nice to read that you like it this little nostalgic music improvisation.
I am always trying to do some different stuff but like said bevor, i think i cant change anything here cause i am so in love with it like it is. But feel free to give it a try Mudhoen. Accordion steem can be send if needed :)
To me this is an interesting juxtaposition of american blues and european accordion that would make an awesome intro to a heavy thrash metal tune. If you keep going with the chord changes as heavy guitar riffs and add some blast drums this could become a very interesting song.
I am not a real good guitar payer and i dont know why but i dont think that i could change it cause i love it like it is. But feel free to do so and if you need i will send you the accordion steem
Sound like a plan :p I'll work on it a bit and send you something a couple days. Maybe your blues lyrics will get used after all. Do you listen to heavy metal while playing with heavy metal? ;) Don't you love when plans change and the songs take control hahaha Accordion has a cool sound, I think I have an accordion vst but not that one. Watch for more unusual instruments in the future. There's so many I'd like to try but the price is too much so why not build cigar box versions :D Slide ukelele sounds like a good idea! Maybe a violin too. I saw plans for making a rawhide bow for use on a violin/cello. I've seen a homemade cigar box (maybe not a cigar box but a big box) cello!
I love when things happend that i didn't had planed .... mostly :)
The blues song is almost ready :) just need the stems to do a real master.
No i don't listen to heavy metal while work on heavy metal. Mostly i listen to radio and there they play not much metal. But thats ok for me :))
Sounds a bit like you will open next the - Phatkatz Srings Manufacture - :)
Exactly as you say Joe...unusual but very special1 Great extra listen for this evening and now I'm also curious which DAW includes this accordion, if I may ask...?
Nice and unconventional work, my friend !:)
Nice that you think that it is a great extra listen :)
You can find it in the new Magix Music Maker 2016
There is a free trail version out, so you can check it out by yourself. It has also a synth that called Vita2 and makes excellent guitar sounds.
Always nice to know that there are people around here who also like unusual music.
Love what you did with that loop! It's has a world music sound, the accordion with the cigar box guitar. I think it fits the picture well, she does look like you ;) Love the added depth music can add to pictures. I downloaded plans for a russian folk instrument, a balalaika, that be fun to try and make. I have a few more cbgs in the works and started my first full sized regular electric guitar YAAAYY! It's shaped like a coffin. Beautiful day today so I'm trying to get things cut outside and glued. Did you start on your guitar build? Fav'd here and on audiosparks. Great to hear music played on not so common instruments and that loop was useful! I started something with it just haven't gotten back to work on it anymore. Not sure if I already have a copy of this but downloading and adding to my player now.
Nice to read that you liked what i had done to/with your loop :) cause the accordion improvisation changed your loop completely.
When i watched this pic the first time i had that strange feeling that i know here really well. like a little sister or a loved one from another life. There where a kind of relationship between us both......
No i didn't start this "self made metal guitar project" right now, cause i worked all the last weeks only with real big and heavy metal stuf. I had/have to cut and saw and work out and weld more then 50 tons of square tubes. That is much to much "heavy metal" for me right now :)
Around 36 years ago i had some lessons for 6 month on accordion and then almost 1 year in clarinet, so i am not really new in using not so common instruments. (but i wasn't any good in both)
To be honest, i grabed your loop to do a cool blues track and i had already some lyrics for it and so on and then the accordion came and i couldn't stop .... so maybe we should do a colab on your blues project to finish the first idea that i had :)
Nice to know that you will place this little track on your player, cause i love it to know that people listen to my music outside of any music sides in/on the internet.
So thanks for the listen, the fav's and the dl and your comment
Good to know that you found the track cool and nice to know that you found some time to check out Dans audiosparks side. I am sure he will be happy that you enjoyed some of the art there
Thank for your listen and time and friendly words

Description : Again, another early production from like two years ago. I had a cheap little Yamaha acoustic guitar that I borrowed and mic'd and some congas that were given to me as a birthday present. I used my iPad GarageBand app to record the strings and the big bass drum thingy at the interlude and little electric guitar parts in there too haha. All the vocals were done by myself and my brother throws in some little things here and there with his voice :P Enjoy!
