Description : Hiphop with real instruments (the third one we did)
We all got someone that we want to say thank you for believing in us in the past, related to music or otherwise. I recently had the opportunity to say "thank you" to a friend that I lost contact with for almost 30 years - so when I saw those lyrics from HEMANIFEZT I liked them immediately
bass by bhunt1........drums by rp3drums....guitars by me (background+solo)......background female singing by SoleilxLune (loop "Vocal 27").....and of course rap by the one and only HEMANIFEZT....
So thank you for listening, love a comment, especially if you feel like contributing advice about the mix, volume, anything, all appreciated. Thanks :)

Mate last track reviewed for today, good track to finish with especially with the matter (vocals)of the track covers, everything sounds on point from this end TG, sad feeling back this one for sure, well to me it has anyways, have to agree with Spiv about the different sound of the genre then what you usually get here on the loop, second track heard today doing reviews a hiphop track with a big difference being more of a RnB type of sounding instrumental with the rap, great to hear...Fav...Peace n Respect...mosaic...
Hey Mosaic, sorry it took a while to answer, was caught up in stuff... yes the guys love a bit of hiphop but we are basically rocknroll, so we combine it as good as we can. And Hemanifezt, whose rap we used, he is unique, as he is so effortless it makes it easy. I am not one to never swear, but it is nice that he can do songs without going bitch ho n-wordall the time. Anyway, I hope we will do another one soon :) Thanks for listening mate!
From the darkness Stars come to Light! Really creative and well thought project you've assembled...Seamless integration of idea to musical platform...impressive!
love that guitar solo T.G...but gotta say I really like the whole mix..there is just something about real instruments that give the track more of a special live/real feel..this whole thing just hangs together perfectly..and every player & vocalist here should take a big bow...cheers from an old player across the water...Ed
Thanks man, appreciate your comments. As you said, there is something about real instruments that I like too. And I am crap at programming synth or drums :D :D :D
I really really like this one!
It's good to hear real instruments on a genre that typically is not that way
good and cool guitar sound and parts
Nice nice job!

Wow, definitely a groovy song. That bass sounds stellar! How did you treat it in the mix? I'd love to know, as I seem to have trouble making my bass sit in a mix nicely. Great work!
Thanks for listening and commenting :). You are not going to believe it, but on this track I basically did not do anything special- I basically ensured the bass is nice and loud in the mix. Other than some time corrections to ensure that the first bass note of every bar is bang on the click, I used a Maximiser plugin on the cubase 8 I am using, and I set the "Output" on 6 (maximum), the "Optimise" dial on 100, and clicked the option "soft clip". To explain, all I wanted is for the bass to be loud, I suppose I could have used a limiter/compressor combination, but I just tried this and it worked.
If you listen to the other two track I did with Bhunt here on Looperman, for the "Trailblazer" song I used a compressor/limiter to again increase the volume and make sure every note is heard, and used a preset on the equaliser called "Rock Bass". I did not tweak that, it worked straight out of the box. For the "Now I got it" I used a "Bassamp Vintage" amp simulater insert, and a "slow moderate" phaser - the equalizer was set again to the "Rock Bass" preset.
But the bottom line is: The single track s that I get from Bhunt are simply superb, other than increase the volume by compressing/limiting a little bit they don't need much. You are most welcome to contact bhunt1, see his link a few comments down, maybe he can tell you what effects he is using on his guitar before I get my hands on it :D . Cheers, TG
Thanks! Yes we are working on new stuff, but we is slow... I do like listening to tracks, so I figure I leave a small comment on tracks that I like while I listen to them... and here on Looperman there are a lot of very interesting tracks - you don't hear that stuff on Radio, that's for sure ;)
Feels like I'm hanging out at band practice, this has a nice live feel. I do like your style! The guitar lead was pretty sweet and a little unexpected, I really liked it. The bass is solid and holds it's own. Lyrics are cool and most people can relate to losing touch with someone who meant a lot in some way. Hope you enjoyed reconnecting with your friend!
very unique track i feel, even though it has a sound that feels reminiscent of something found in country top 40 charts. the flow is a bit off beat in my opinion but the words are well spoken and obviously from the heart. I wonder is it a freestyle?
Hey Flonut, thanks for listening and taking the time to comment. It could well be that Mr. Hemanifezt made it freestyle, I only had the acapella that I downloaded from here and built the rest around it. I found the tempo to be 92.65, a very unusual figure. But it could well be that I did not choose the correct tempo. I am not very experienced when it comes to rap and hiphop, so I might not have done Hemanifezt justice. Thanks for your input, much appreciated, I really do!!
Interesting style of hip hop for sure. It's good to hear some more real instruments! My first impression was that the lyrics could have been delivered more accurately, but then I started wondering if I could do it even this well. So that led me to think that it's fine, and the accuracy will come with time. I did enjoy listening!
Thanks for listening and thank you for your comments. It is very interesting what you are saying, I have a theory why this is. Basically, HEMANIFEZT recorded this song, most likely to a very different beat, and then he posted only the Acapella. I took the vocals, and tried to find a beat and tempo that matches it, and built the whole song around it. Hemanifezt is a very good rapper, if you check out his Bandcamp site you will see what I mean. Thanks again for your comments, I really appreciate it!!!
Yes, guitar, bass, drums are all real - and the rap of course. The only "plastic" is the keys in the background and the scratch loop. I actually managed to create some scratching noises on my guitar, but they were not good enough yet so I used something else. Thanks for listening :)
Guitar sound in the intro had an "Edge" U2 quality about it. Good sound. I love the guitar solo, reminds me ever so slightly of Tom Cochrane (Lunatic Fringe, circ Red Ryder)
Die Antwoord would be a nice compliment but I'm not sure the (vox) delivery and intensity follows that mode, you have your own style. But I now know you are very thankful, and that's nice, we don't get enough manners these days from people so that's (tongue in cheek) appreciated!
Very nice listen

Thanks mate, appreciate your comments. U2/the Edge - absolutely, that's the sound I wanted for this song.
Got to admit that I did not know the other names you mentioned, but I will check them out.
Regarding the vocals, it's not me that is singing, it's HEMANIFEZT - but same as you said, I too appreciate his sentiment and his manners. So thanks again for listening! TG

Description : Something i did when i was about 15, and when i still made beats. This particular track is actually the reason i decided to get into composing at all. I had a good run with the beats and hip-hop scene, but i always had a leaning more towards composing and this, i think, is the catalyst for that revelation. This beat is 9 years old, and gives you a sense of what it was like to be a young, passionate, musically driven teen. Thank you.
