Description : Too many emotions, no better way than to make a track about them.
On a side note, I feel like Looperman is dying out :/ Seems like there are not that many active listeners anymore...

Dang man, this track is so good. It's a bit too compressed though, you're losing clarity on some of the percussion (shakers and such) because it is pressed so hard. But the vocal and the instrumental are flawless. It's extremely catchy, why are you still here when you could be getting big? :)
Yes, not that many active commenters here and very few decent, interesting ones. But there are still a few.
These vocals are pure pop music to me so not at all what I'm into. It's a good voice and the kind that people love, I understand that.
0:32 reverbed bongo type of hits are a surprise and work quite well.
0:52 good movement of pads. Arps, perhaps. Then a fat kick as this builds with a good, melodic new lead.
Then the drums drop out pretty much where I thought they might kick into a firmer groove. Then a long build again, with those high vocals on top. Then things get a bit steadier in terms of groove and more exciting before coming back down for the end.
This is chilled out but also quite loud and powerful. Perhaps too loud (on the master) but I know that's popular in this sort of style. Makes me think of some sort of emotional, chillout dubstep.
Sorry if I didn't have much interesting stuff to say but I did try.
Congrats on some decent work though it's not my kind of style.
Almost good track...liked the way you didn't use the conventional 4-beat kick rhythm. The bass goes in well too.
You know, just a wee bit of mastering needed here and there (volume normalization perhaps)
Thank you
TJ
Very interesting style of song here. Has a very pop vibe to it, which is not what I would usually listen to. All the same, I do dig the composition and arrangement. I found the mix/master to be extremely loud and harsh, especially for this sort of "emotional" song. I had just listened to one of my songs in order to reply to a comment well... then I started your song, and I had to to lower the volume on my speakers so that they were nearly off. This is a bad sign. You want the listener to be able to adjust the volume on their own. There is some clipping present in the song, and I would back of on any compression and limiting thresholds/gain. Good work on the composition though for sure. Don't be discouraged about Looperman, just keep doing your thing here, and people will come around.
What a beautiful chilled out track you have here. Laid back and really easy on the ear! How did you put it together was it a vocal sample worked round a tune or someone singing over the track? Excellent work here anyway. Very well done!
A lot of my vocals, such as this one come from here http://freevocals.com/ and this singer's vocals just seemed to fit the early construction of the track so I decided to fit it in. Thanks for the listen, glad you enjoyed it!
You were definitely correct about the emotion part. Definitely got me feeling haha! Great track, honestly love he samplework. And it fits just right with the synth! I'm jealous :D Samplework is still a weak point for me. But anyways, with looperman dying out. I think it's more like this time of year, everyone's out and about. So it might not be as active, however I never saw this place as a place for people to listen. I always thought of it as something where you can get the advice from others on what can improve your track. And those people who actually take the time to listen and give honest feedback are all still here, dont worry :) Much Love man! And best of luck to you in the future!
Description : Feel free to check out the video on YT as well (Alan McLaren Project - Upside Down) of this 6min journey from electronic to rock with some psychedelic moments...
This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.

Description : Far out mid-tempo fat beat deep chillout grooves with Eastern/Arabic and slightly menacing vibes, huge delayed synth bass and a great palette of psychedelic layered and intricate sounds (mostly synths) and a stirring, epic feel. Even has guitar solo section reminiscent of some 80s power rock which is then followed by a brief synth harp solo. I began making it straight after staying round the flat of the flute player from the legendary Ozric Tentacles - easily the greatest ever space rock band. I made this in about 2001 and still think it might be my best track (and it's nice and short, for a change). My production skills were much weaker in those days (no EQ, compression or mastering used here) but, somehow, this one turned out pretty much just right. Feel free to disagree. Now sit back and get ready to trip extremely far out. If you manage to return, let me know how that trip was...
Description : Got some spare time finally...just started on some random ideas basically (lets say kygo meets alan walker). A blend of dubstep, edm, downbeat, tropical etc.
It's still a work in progress, so i would appreciate your honest inputs. Thanks to all those whose loops I have used in here, sorry I don't have time to search them out.
Edit-added some more filthy sounds from my previous tracks and gave it some ending. Advice will be helpful.
