Such feeling and conviction of sound. It also has a cinematic feel. like what it morphed into from the intro. the muted trumpet was right on time and just enough to tickle the ear. Pure chill, loved it. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.

Hi.

This has really quite a minimal sound and I like your plucked instrument. Could be a harp. It provides more of a constant groove than the minimal drum work.

Very lazy, drifting stuff that really does just sit. Feels like anything could be brought in and be made to work, even if only once.

2:40 key changes and things get weirder and more psychedelic. Also jazzier for a bit and then there's a return to the minimal drum groove.

This gets better the more you listen. It's got a powerful (and professional) sound but isn't too loud, unlike quite a few of your other tracks. You're getting better at this music making lark.

Big congrats!

I love the percussion with this one. Nice Harp. Bass is cutting through my studio speakers. Good mix, ethereal sounds never get boring. Jazzy at 2:43. Really cool stuff you made there out there in Cymru! 4:00 is another nice breakdown with some nice and loud synths. Two thumbs up, a bag of twigletts and a lion bar!

The harpy sound melody made me melt! Interesting jazz chords, sounds, and an unexpected outro. Very interesting.

So warm, and erotic! I wish could express how I actually feel in words on here; but I can't. I don't want to be looked as creepy lol

I consider good chillout pretty much a drug without the harmful side effects. Certainly better for you than popping a lude, vallium or any of a host of barbituates to completely mellow out. AND best of all, here on Looperman its FREE !
All kidding aside, you really nailed down a super mood mix here. I especially like the jazzy bits and the seductive elements as well.
A really slick composition Silve, I dig it man.

silverman replied 13th Jul 2016 - 8 years ago
Thanks Neo. Quite a few relaxed ones I've done now and I'm discovering .... fast and furious and you can get away with more mistakes but slow and gentle not so much so.
Lot more attention to detail needed.
Thanks for listening mate.

This is, like has been mentioned, very relaxing - It fits well in the chill out genre! The unusual percussive elements really deepen the whole theme included here. Could be an excellent soundtrack to some closed eye visuals! The jazzy elements, while few and far between, really add a lot to the whole artistry of the piece. This is very well mixed to my ears, and I'm enjoying it a lot! By the way, it's cool to see another avatar picture with a smoke in hand! Excellent work on this song! Fave!

silverman replied 11th Jul 2016 - 8 years ago
Yes the smoke Spiv has become a real no no it seems.
Picture of Tom Waits of course not me and even he has packed it in .... me too I must admit.
Closed eye visuals I haven't had for quite some time now but yeah I'm with you on that one.
Thanks for stopping by mate.

Amazing wide sound, the phasing/panning effect is cool and not over the top (I using it often on guitar solos). Love the woman whispering, and all those little sounds that come in and out, great work! I love the production, it is so crisp and clean. Ending somewhat sudden though.

The percussion is a unique take with the acoustics. I like how the strings work with the occasional synth. The change from 2:20 on is pleasant! And the jazz from about 3:00 was unexpected, but a delight to hear. Lovely!

You are the one who is driving me in this direction!
All this laid back dreamy beautiful stuff you do has sent me here.
The loud banging stuff is great fun but the slower a piece is the more accurate it has to be or the listener will spot any and all mistakes.
I enjoy all sorts of stuff but for now I just wanna chill and am thouroughly enjoying it.
Thanx for your time and kind comments mate.

This is not the usual stuff i hear from you but you definetly do it some more. The track is very laidback and give a very warm vibe. In the 2nd part after 2:40 it really starts to get really groovy with the jazzy influences. the vocal shot really gives live to the track. Very well done and well mixed!

Description : I used some new "Anthem" pickups from L.R. Baggs on my Martin acoustic to see how it performed, and it definitely beat my expectations. Captured the sound perfectly as I needed.

Anyhoo, this song is almost a prayer, hence the repetitiveness of the verses. As Christians, we believe that God will one day return and take away every suffering and all evil for good; in that regard, this song is almost one of waiting too. Very simple, with vocal harmonies and whatnot. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Made in 13 hours.

Someone else wrote the words, I was just inspired to use them. I only added the "Yeah" and "Amen."

Description : So a guy buys a nice guitar at a pawn shop but returns it a few days later after waking from a sound sleep to hear it playing by itself. When he tells of his experience he is shocked to learn the owner had actually died while playing it. Is it fantasy or truth? Is the guitar in this track that very same guitar? Its all part of the mystery and fun of Halloween !
EDIT: modified ending to a deeper voice

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this. In my heaven there is an endless supply of honey mangoes (an exquisite beauty of the fruit world) and even more slide guitar. A 1,000-year-long version of this track plays there on a loop (long enough not to get bored of it) but here I offer you the Earthly 11 min version. You must be very good to be accepted into my heaven to hear the full thousand year version so best start now. It may be heaven's main theme tune but it's not above criticism so feel free to let me know what you think of it. Maybe you prefer the soundtrack in hell. I hear it's pretty badass...
