Description : Another Halloween creation. This one has essence of Moombahton, Funk, House and some seriously sexy and moody sounds intertwining to present to you a feeling of darkness, rather a melancholy of a long departed soul that can't see her shadow.

Hey Cru - an oldie but a goldie - great stereo mix and to my ears this track just gets better as it goes along love esp. from around the 450 mark on ... but perhaps you had just lolled me into an alternate state by that point : )
Cru, you’ve got bounce as far as the ears can hear. Loving the right in the room with me vocals. The mix is pristine as always and quite clever how the different movements stayed right with that infectious bounce. Well, well done Cru. Peace
Hey Cru, definitely diggin this this track, its an awesome club mix for sure. I will download and try to get it in the hands of some friends who DJ at some of the most happing clubs here in "Big D". Cant wait to hear it crankin at the Lizard Lounge!
I would be diggin this one no matter what genre you said it was my friend...I`m a fan of a bit of panning (I more often use m-s processing) on some of the percussion parts...like those funky guitar bits back there and the horns...Having played the ol bass for a few years my ear always catches effective bass lines like this...thoughtful composing and arranging going on with the breaks, changeups...Oh I just his that piano bit...freeking awesome...lots going on but doesn`t really feel that way as the whole trip just weaves its way through your hear from beginning to end...Great track...and I`m use to that being the case when I stop by your place....Fav...Ed
Thanks Ed, Iḿ glad this one caught your ear in a good way. I think bass is such an anchor to a tune and can create the mood for the listener. This one is a moody one and I love making tunes like this .
Thanks
Steve
Very trippy stuff with great rhytmical elements and more than enough diversity and variations making it extremely exciting and enjoyable ! Another winner in your remarkable catalogue Steve !:)
thank you for your kind words, I like to make music that I like to listen too, and when I share it and it touches others it's a nice feeling sometimes.
thank you
your response to AcidRn mentions a desire to surround us with the sound - I get this a lot here and dig it. And don't need to listen through the headphones for it. I would be curious to know why AcidRn thinks the mix might translate to the club system. For that matter, i would be interested to know what makes a mix work on the internet radio broadcasts. mine generally sound shallow.
my guess is that he thinks it sounds good in mono which club systems tend to sound like in reality. for me the mix must work on my stdio bose 2.5 speakers from 1985 first. then in my generic hyundai car speakers. then on my jbl-harmon karden surround sound system, then on my android-huwaei phone with cheap headphones, then on my wireless mono headphones. if it sounds good on all of those systems. the mix works IMHOP.
set up a varied system for yourself.
Very cool Cru, loving All Hallows Funk this year! Does have that dark melancholic feel I love so much. Those psychoactive drugs are really kicking in now! Who spiked the punch? The grateful dead once played a warehouse and spiked the punch with lsd, when the cops came to shut them down they fed them some punch :p
Were getting together a massive collection of Halloween music this year coming from all directions. With my music you don even need the punch spiked to go off on a trip.
thanks for the props.

Infectious! I love the flow of all the sounds you created. That percussive sequence that plays throughout the song sounds so trippy. The end surprised me not once but twice. First when the (trumpet?)came into the mix and again with the guitar that followed it. Everything sounds properly leveled and good in my ears. Faved!
Hey Crypt, glad u liked it. I built this song up from that percussion sequence as I loved how it sounded moody, mysterious and groovy at the same time. So I decided early on that I would bring sounds in and out and warp them until the end when I could bring in the piano and the guitars and have the full musical sequence. And yes that´s a trumpet and a trombone. Thanks for the nice words.

The entering part till 1:07 was so amazing. I actually would enjoy listening to that on loop for like 5 minutes :D. Rest of track, hmmmm i am kinda 50\50 on it right now. Sometimes i just don't get into some songs from 1st try. I will give it another few tries later. Good job.
This song was built from the percussion on up. Sometimes I like to do that then build a complex sound that you here in the middle or at the end, and then i break it all down again. I used to love 12 inch single dub mixes of songs that would do that, so i would learn how songs are built and arranged.

love the bass guitar motif and the laid back funkiness. I prefer Lindt dark chocolate which goes with the dark and mysterious track. This is so very nice it would go down well in any club TASTY ..good job best regards.

Thanks for that. I would love to hear this track on a club sound system and see the reaction of the people as they hear and dance to it. That would be awesome. Lizard lounge has a great reputation, i even know of it up here in Canada. Thanks for the props and help.

Wicked!!! I like your song a lot! You seem to have a strong hand in fusion genres together with ease. I've never been a real funk lover actually. Yet your track Hallows Funk already took my liking's. This one triples that.
Maybe its because I love house, moombahton and a good groove. You've totally made it your own sound tho. This song is like a good glass of wine. Easy enough to drink, but interesting enough as in discovering new flavors along the way after multiple sips. :D
My only feedback would be to have the vocals at 1:06 slightly faded in. Just for 1 sec to get it rounded and not coming in out of nothing. But its just a minor detail. You've officially own the record of letting me fave my first funk(y) track ;)
Thanks Wobbin, Already adjusted the vox intro as U suggested (good idea). I do have the ability to meld genres together with ease. I do not not believe in static genres. Music is better than genre and easily transcends it from a theory point of view. Great analogy by describing wine, you are very correct in that. Too me funk is just a cool derivative of R & B and Disco which ultimately morphed into hip hop and House music, so there is so much variation that can be made by finding a good groove or riff and just playing with it or experimenting with the sound. Thanks for stopping bye.
