I agree with the other comments. Music is great. Vocals are good but need to pop a bit more. Also, would love to hear the lead guitar a little louder in the mix.
Ben this instantly brought a smile to my face and transported me back in time what a super voice you have there which fits this genre perfectly i also enjoyed the guitar my fav instrument really well done sir Bravo peace out Robbie.
Love the guitar you have going on, sits in the mix big and has a cool tone and effects. The two parts are working great together. Catchy number, rock a billy, early rock n roll feel with a bit of a modern upgrade as well.
Vocals sound good to me, maybe a touch more reverb. I like your version, the drum change before the 2 minute point added an interesting change and took it to a cool place, kind of a surf beat.
Wassup it sounds good! with the beat and the vocals. To me you got like a Elvis Presley type of voice. sometimes you can use compression, reverb, and maybe delays if there's a big enough gap in some spots.there's also vocal harmony which you do a lower pitch ,regular pitch, and then high pitch on a chorus usually. The way you did it sounds great just depends what you feel at the time when adding sound effects.
thanks a lot , I used a little bit of everything, slapback echo, pinch compression and also a very small portion of reverb. Anyhow I will give the multiple harmony pitch thing a try.
Love the bluesy guitars :p Perfect the way it is! A touch of reverb does add a cool sound to vocals, and Evisma nailed it, a million dollar studio would ruin it. After studying and studying mix/mastering and not being happy with the sound I got, I decided more raw and less messed with was they way I preffered my own music.
Thanks a lot , thats exactly the way I feel when mixing / mastering , there is way too much options , knobs and controls , in the end I screwed it all up and start over ending up with a complete different sound.
this is great stuff. production is very good, love the guitars sound great. I a novice when it comes to vocals.(so take this as a grain of salt.) mabe a little reverb? not sure. it sounded great as is also, great job.
Damn, Ben. This is some fine audio you have here! As far as entertaining, this is one of the best tracks ever on this site. Very well done! I usually try to critique tracks, but I really loved it. Not really a Sheeran fan, but I've heard the song plenty. I like the feel you put it to and the guitars were great. Vocals seemed rather in tune and have a great character to them. The whole production was great. If a million dollar studio got a hold of this, they'd ruin it. You did fantastic.
This was really good. I would be proud if I made it.

Thanks a lot Evisma , I feel pretty much honored about it. Never assumed such a response from a guy that seems to be a professional musician what is proved by the great music tracks you've uploaded here :-)

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
