Description : This is a tune I arranged entirely from loops and added in some of my own guitar playing at around 1:05.
It is basically a fast punk rock tune. Hope you like it,
Randy
Hi Randy! I'm new in this kind of stuff.. i'm hearing your rock songs and i liked a lot! i'm going to record some vocals if you don't mind.. I true loved this punk rock song! YOU ROCK!! PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER PUNK ROCK SONG WITH YOURE OWN SOLO PLAYING! hope u read this! ;) and if you can answer me would be great! Keep Rocking!
Wish you the best from MÃÂxico! :D take care please!! :D awesome instruments, i have a American Deluxe Telecaster Cherry Sun Burst.. i will upload some pics one day! ;D
Thanks for the review and kind words on this tune.
I am not into punk rock stuff all that much, but I liked this one, and so here it is. I'll do another one so you can try and sing to it if you want to as I said in an earlier e-mail.
It's good, and what others have said about the track crying out for a lead vocal is so true!!! The sound of you plugging your guitar in, or cable fizz whatever, (was that - in the spirit of punk deliberate?) although obviously you don't need telling that "Punk" has a broader spectrum than what many people think -
To my ears - this guitar/cable fizz spoils the track a little and it is a good song, structured well nice riffs, with a good guitar solo.
Thanks for reviewing my track and your great comments and suggestions.
As for the guitar plugging in sound/noise....yes it was deliberate as I changed guitars and thought it would add more to a live feel.
Thanks for your review and I will check out your page as well.
Hi Firebird,
I appreciate the nice review. This was one of my earlier songs from 2008, and I enjoyed putting this one together. I do blues, country and rock mostly.
Thanks again for taking the time to send me a review...everyone counts.
Randy
excellent track! a catchy tune, and mainstream friendly, so i think with a good vocalist, this could potentially be a hit. excellent production and even better guitar playing! keep putting out stuff like this and you will go far. good luck!
Hello there,
Thanks a lot for reviewing this punk tune. I am glad you enjoyed it as much as I had fun putting it together.
I'll get over to your page and give a listen to whats new with your music.
Thanks again,
Randy
Get out of here, you are amazing you understand how to make us happy through music, I was a punker, my nickname in 1976 was Peter Punk when stuff was just happening, first guy on my block with a Ramones albu and a Sex Pistol 45 import from England, so when I saw Randall and Punk in the featured track window I though no way, yes way you are some great musical mind that will never seize to amaze me.
Hi BigPete,
I see you are you are following me around. I did this tune back in December. I wanted to try something different, so I came up with this. I used some loops as the header says, but it was still fun arranging it.
I think I might have told you I am working on a Blues/funk tune now that should be done by the end of the month. No wine before its time as they say.
Glad you enjoyed it and thank goodness for the featured section as my songs get more chances to be heard.
Randy
Thanks for checking this Punk tune out. I have a bunch of loops for these type of songs. I like adding in my own material though so as to make it 'mine'.
Vocals would be a welcome addition.
50 downloads...? Wow, guess I should check back more often within my own tracks.
This track is great. Its got that kinda melody that makes you feel good. And where you take off on the guitar is perfect. You should do more punk or even try electro punk. If you ever whant to collab i could propbably hook you up with a cool beat.
wow all your replys appear to me like 3x the length of the review, i feel i have to say alot now,,
anyway as i said im m last review great mixing again, you have to share your secrets great guitar playing =D i loved it, although this would be a very highly talented punk band if you were in it, lol
Haven't heard from you in a long time, but that is okay...there are so many good artist on here, no one can get to them all. Over 130,000 members and over a 100 joining each day...it seems!
Glad you liked this tune as far as this Punk one. Someone said here, punk bands don't play this well. Ha Ha. I don't know as I never played punk myself. To me, it was just a tune I wanted to try.
I can do several more I suppose, but it depends on my mood I guess.
This was made from one of the many loop disk I have.
Basically you put loops together like a puzzle and then adjust everything to make it soumd good.
I always try and buy 24 bit loops if I can as they are better quality and then bounce-to-disk back to 16 bit for CD's.
I do play guitar on many of the tunes I put up or bass, and put in drums...whatever I want in the tune.
Sorry about the long replies, but I like to explaining things so young musicians such as your self can hopefully learn something from me.
Hey great lead work on this one. I can feel the soul. That makes it a success, not the number of notes. Id like to try out a rig like yours, Im lovin the tone and expression you have there. Nice jingle youve made.
Hello there AudioFiend,
Thanks a lot for your review. I will check out one of your tunes today for sure.
I like this tune a lot plus the last one I just put up, Rock My World. To me, that is what rock should sound like.
Your right, you don't need blazing notes to make a tune. Just the right placement I think counts and expression as you say.
I've always wondered if a person using FL's could make a tune like this? Not sure what you use, but I'd say any top end software package should be able to create a sound like this tune.
Just playing the rhythm twice into 2 separate channels makes a big difference...one panned hard left, and one panned hard right.
Plus effects, compression, etc.
Thanks again for the review, I appreciate it very much,
Randy
whoowhoo!!!!
Randy, you sound like you were not older than 20!!!
this is incredible, absolutely perfect, makes me want to grab the git and jump in ... this track freakin rocks ...
you're like red wine!!
Hello Rei,
Haven't heard from you in awhile. Am glad you came by and listened to another tune I arranged. These are the type of tunes I like, the sound, the chords, everything actually. Makes me feel good inside when I am done....I guess like the red wine your speaking of?
I had fun putting this together and hearing all the reviews thus far, just makes it all the more worthwhile to me in the end. So I am happy that it makes you also want to grab your guitar and jump in and play along. Means I have done my part.
I check out a ton of loops before I decide on which ones have the potential to fit together for an idea I have in my head, if I am not making a tune of my own from scratch.
Of course on all of mine, I use a drum set from Betamonkeymusic.com. This isn't a plug for them, but all their drums are recorded live and sound so real.
I never did get around to buying a drum machine like others have once I got those.
I have another tune simular to this I am working on and it will have more a rhythm section in it so people can play along easier and add in their own lead. I know poeople like to do that including myself, so we'll see what happens.
But that won't be for a couple weeks...or before the end of this year. I am not the type that can do a song overnight! I take my time and try to do it right so I can be proud of showing it off to the world. Afterall, my name is on it!
Thanks again Rei,
Randy
Nice of you to stop by and give my latest tune a listen to. I appreciate your comments and like it that you and some others can't find anything meaningfully wrong with the tune.
I am not perfect and make numerous mistakes making songs. But with software, that is its beauty, you can edit them out, or do re-takes.
Most songs I ever hear on the radio seem to be flawless. That is what I shoot for, and I believe all it takes is a frame of mind and an ongoing developing skill. I learn more with each song I do.
If my tunes inspire others to do as well or better than a 64+ year old guy, than that's a plus.
Thanks again,
Randy
Hey Randy this is Excellent!...in fact the only thing slightly wrong with it...is that the playing's just a little too tight for punk!...and there's too many chord progressions!...haha the Pistol's couldn't keep up..but Johnny R's vocals over this would be very interesting......it's great to see the diversity in your music Randy....you rock!..I'd really like to see the faces on a young drunk crowd after they discovered the music they've been rockin' to was created by a guy old enough to be their father(and then some!)...Brilliant work...cheers Dave :)
Hi Dave.
My favorite bass player on here! Glad you liked it and I appreciate your comments. I know your a discriminating player that can tell good from bad. :-)
I basically like Country, Blues and Rock. I consider Punk a slight diversion from rock and thus as long as it isn't screaming unitelligible vocals, I'll play it.
My step daughter is 15 and she can't believe a nearly 65 year old man can still rock with the rest.
Just look at the 'Rolling Stones', they look really old, but man do they still put on a show!!
I am trying to get one of my older dsughters that DJ's at a 'Goth' type bar on weekends, to play some of my rock songs, she is still a little afraid to as they might not like that type.
Thanks Dave for you review...always like hearing from you. Will review another of your songs and the others who left reviews here, as that is the fair way to do things.
Randy
Want more punk into it?...I can probably deliver, but what I won't play/record is very loud trash type metal. That is not my style.
To my ears it is just loud screaming so you can't hear the vocals, and its no fun for me to listen to.
But I can and will make some more 'tame' punk rock tunes shortly. :-)
Glad you liked it and thanks again,
Randy
Hey Boson,
Thanks for checking out my lastest tune. Glad you enjoyed it. I have a lot of fun with loops. Like putting a puzzle together.
I'll check out some of your tunes tomorrow and give a review back.
Thanks again,
Randy

Wish you the best from MÃÂxico! :D take care please!! :D awesome instruments, i have a American Deluxe Telecaster Cherry Sun Burst.. i will upload some pics one day! ;D
