Description : Backbone of the track was composed and played by my friend Sneaky, and flipped by me on my MPC1000. Also heavily featuring a Moog Slim Phatty.

It's freakin cool, even if it is a couple years old! It's great to hear some "unreleased" stuff from you.
Seems like you have gotten a real feel for that MPC rig! The sound makes me drool a bit, like Aphex used to... This may be a bit to dynamically processed for my tastes, but I also realize that you can't go back and change anything. There is something to be said for that, of course, and it's what live interaction is all about.
Your interaction with the Moog was also interesting. That's a synth I haven't become familiar with yet. I was going to assume that it was direct competition for Korg's mono* series, but I see, after looking it up that I was wrong! That's a pretty hardcore piece of gear! There's the drool again.
Okay, I'm listening again, since it's "dense." I also see that you allow download, so thank you for that!
I find myself wondering about the mastering in this song, and I'm sure that's simply a personal obsession. Songs like this, and a bunch of others on Looperman, make me feel like I am losing the loudness war within myself. I have made some songs that are purposely so quiet, that in hindsight it just seems ridiculous... at the same time, I've made songs that are so loud as to be painful. Thanks for be a "collaborator" in the war.
Big fave, and I will download. Thanks for sharing!
Yes the mastering is sounds a little crushed for me as well, I was definitely trying to compete in the loudness war :P It's listenable I think, though, and I really enjoyed making the track, such is life sometimes..no offense taken, btw, if I seem defensive -- I appreciate your observations.
Yeah the MPC is my main weapon these days! It's a relatively simple sampler and sequencer but it's really fun to get creative with sounds...and a completely different sort of feel comes out when resampling literally everything on pads and finger drumming them out. I love it, hehehe
I was meaning to add a comment to this track. That is why I favorited it :) Again, this sound just speaks to me. If you have a soundcloud, I would love to follow you. Do you know that feeling that you forgot something, but can't remember what it is even connected to? That is the feeling that this song gives me. Which, for me, is a good thing. Keep on making cool music!
That's a cool perspective, I think I can understand how you feel that emotion from this..nice.

There's a lot of crazy strange beauty going on here. The depth and texture of the music intrigues me tremendously. Should it be longer? Could it be longer? Hell yeah, but great track!
thanks! yeah I was considering making it longer but it was super dense and I wanted to make sure it was interesting the whole way through instead of just being a wall of sound for a few minutes.
I'm working on more developed compositions these days (this is actually a couple years old now :P). But regardless, I am appreciative of your listen and I'm glad you enjoyed. Cheers
pretty trippin... I love electronic music, some good guitar stuff tricklin thru here... if I was setup properly I'd wanna do a remix but alas... nice work, if you make a more beat or guitar driven version, please let me know. Neal Visher @DesignByNV
long time no see neal, hope all is well. glad you enjoyed this enough to want to remix it...unfortunately the file is gone with an old laptop I spilled beer on :(
I'll keep you in mind for future endeavors, though!
There's a lot of sounds going at the same time, but the good side of it is that you managed to mix them all into one great sounding track! Could use some vocals to fill in some empty spaces
Hey there mate...in a word tres cool electronica!!....I really like the metamorphic nature of this track it's almost like a musical kaleidoscope in places, the transitions appear and disappear going through a mini black hole in the arrangement and yet there's always the after image of a vestigial melody, ghosts in the machine territory for sure, at 1:16 there's an interesting apparition and for a moment I thought there'd be a solid groove starting, but you eased off into the end game, could have been much longer but I really enjoyed it as is.....cheers Dave :)
thanks dave! yeah I'm working on some pieces that are more developed these days, this was definitely a perhaps too concise compositional experiment. but I'm glad you enjoyed it for what it was.
Man, this is straight up emotional music. I haven't heard anything that sounds like this. It kind of sounds like psychedelic hip hop! I love it! I have bought a KORG Volca Sample, because I am poor, so I hope to make some awesome beats with my sample playback device. Someday, an MPC1000 would be really cool to have. I really like the bleeps and bloops in between the notes :) Keep on jamming!
Thanks Allochtune, I appreciate the listen. Psychedelic hip hop is one way to describe it for sure, lol.
Bleeps and bloops were created on the slim phatty, pitch LFO on the bassline and automating the octave of the oscillator :) -- (if you were curious) --
Let me know how you like the volca sample. I hear they're a neat tool. Btw, take a listen to the Brainfeeder label if you want to hear more stuff like this...
Description : Feel free to check out the video on YT as well (Alan McLaren Project - Upside Down) of this 6min journey from electronic to rock with some psychedelic moments...
This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.

Description : Far out mid-tempo fat beat deep chillout grooves with Eastern/Arabic and slightly menacing vibes, huge delayed synth bass and a great palette of psychedelic layered and intricate sounds (mostly synths) and a stirring, epic feel. Even has guitar solo section reminiscent of some 80s power rock which is then followed by a brief synth harp solo. I began making it straight after staying round the flat of the flute player from the legendary Ozric Tentacles - easily the greatest ever space rock band. I made this in about 2001 and still think it might be my best track (and it's nice and short, for a change). My production skills were much weaker in those days (no EQ, compression or mastering used here) but, somehow, this one turned out pretty much just right. Feel free to disagree. Now sit back and get ready to trip extremely far out. If you manage to return, let me know how that trip was...
Description : Got some spare time finally...just started on some random ideas basically (lets say kygo meets alan walker). A blend of dubstep, edm, downbeat, tropical etc.
It's still a work in progress, so i would appreciate your honest inputs. Thanks to all those whose loops I have used in here, sorry I don't have time to search them out.
Edit-added some more filthy sounds from my previous tracks and gave it some ending. Advice will be helpful.
