Description : I’m back at it again with the experimental stuff. This song is basically a middle finger to common genre classifications. I pushed to make it sound weird and unique but hopefully still enjoyable. The concept for this project is looking back at a time when everything was tranquil.

I took a lot of advice and criticism I got from Looperman on “Moments” as well as the other unreleased stuff, so I’m grateful to the community. We’re open to any and all criticism, as harsh as it may be. That’s how we grow.
Also, I couldn’t have done it without Luna and Fuentes’s help so check out their stuff! They are both extremely talented.

As for the other projects here on Looperman I haven’t released I’m still working on all of them, taking all your advice into account. This just happened to reach completion first.

someone said it in a comment! "i like how the track breaths" literally this is an amazing track, only thing on my end i feel like the male voice is on top on the track "sort of loud" everything else sounds very good and dynamic.
Thanks! I'm happy you enjoyed it. Dynamics were a big part of the track for sure. I made sure to give it a ton of range.
The instrumentals on Fuentes's (the rapper's) parts are quiet so I can see how that would accentuate what you pointed out. Thanks for leaving your thoughts. Really appreciate it.
1:16 the effect that you used on the complete track just for 1 sec - i think you shouldn't do it on the vocals. It really sounds like a mistake in my ears. But that's just me and noting more. But all the rest fits for me.
Good work, I like what you done with the vocals and the music gives a nice dreamy feeling with that cool groove.
Glad you liked it overall. I added that effect to break the flow a bit and give it a janky feel. It wasn't very noticeable when it wasn't affecting the vocals so I added it. Though looking back on it, I kind of agree with you. I wanted the track to feel janky but still somehow natural, and this may have pushed it a bit too far the other direction.
Thanks. I really liked the synths too. I spent quite a bit of time on them instead of using presets which I did in the hopes to make it sound more unique.
Damn this track is great. The female vocals are so good and well mixed in the track. The male vocals are good as well and together with all the variations you made in the beat this song is on my playlist for the next couple of days.
When I upload a track onto Looperman, I do it for feedback. I'll keep improving the track based on the comments I receive until I feel it's finally finished. At this point it's not "released".
When the track is finally done, I'll upload it to my YouTube and SoundCloud page, complete with artwork and all that stuff. That's when it's actually released. No more changes will be made to the track after that point.
Hope I managed to clear things up, though it's a little late Haha
Hi, Yeah...like this a lot:) I think you managed to achieve the 'weird and unique' that you were going for. It was more 'unique' than weird though. I found it an enjoyable and interesting musical journey. Enchanting, evocative, Imaginative, are a few words that come to mind.....
Great arrangement. Love the vocals.......Excellent work:)
Thanks, we all worked really hard on it. I actually planned on using that break to add a sample from the show "Afro Samurai" that fit the theme, but I instead decided to stay within copyright law Haha I kept the silence since I thought it'd help the track breathe, which I feel is important for a song like this.
Description : Feel free to check out the video on YT as well (Alan McLaren Project - Upside Down) of this 6min journey from electronic to rock with some psychedelic moments...
This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : This is a strictly groove track where the elements of ambient meets electronic funk and Hip Hop. I play all instruments on the track excluding guitar solo which was performed by my friend Art Miller.
Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.

Description : Far out mid-tempo fat beat deep chillout grooves with Eastern/Arabic and slightly menacing vibes, huge delayed synth bass and a great palette of psychedelic layered and intricate sounds (mostly synths) and a stirring, epic feel. Even has guitar solo section reminiscent of some 80s power rock which is then followed by a brief synth harp solo. I began making it straight after staying round the flat of the flute player from the legendary Ozric Tentacles - easily the greatest ever space rock band. I made this in about 2001 and still think it might be my best track (and it's nice and short, for a change). My production skills were much weaker in those days (no EQ, compression or mastering used here) but, somehow, this one turned out pretty much just right. Feel free to disagree. Now sit back and get ready to trip extremely far out. If you manage to return, let me know how that trip was...
The instrumentals on Fuentes's (the rapper's) parts are quiet so I can see how that would accentuate what you pointed out. Thanks for leaving your thoughts. Really appreciate it.
