Description : Not a synthesizer in sight on this one. Does what it says on the tin..basically its me on 2 electro-acoustic guitars, bongos and shaker. Thats it. It's got what I think is a summer feel to it, I've enjoyed doing this one a lot thought about making a whole CD with stuff like this. usual "blue" notes (thanks Cyryus08) but it was fun !!

This is great easy listening music, awesome to have in the background and really focus, I think you should do a CD of it! Beautiful ending! good work

I'm working on some more stuff (time allowing) like this and hope to compile a CD. After what you said here I think I might call it "summer sounds". What name ? I prefer Daniel although I get called other things some of which are not repeatable here ! thanks again for taking the time to give this a listen and review

I love the simple elegance of this track. I am a big fan of subdued guitar playing (as it is something that I am often not capable of...haha.) Sonically this track is very rewarding. Great relaxed feel and a lot of resolution musically makes this a winner to me! Peace, Six

Those two guitars would've been enough to create a great piece. Too much reverb for the percussives - maybe.

thanks for taking the time to review. yes I get hooked on reverb and the bongos are a prime example. like most things new this was experimental. good to get constructive reviews like this.

daniel- love how you've put this all together. live recording and over dubbing can be an evil mistress! great playing, wonderful feel to the song. you should make a whole cd of this kind of stuff! you have some tech issues with the recording, but the song makes up for it 10 fold. a bit of advice, if i may, after you've recorded live tracks with a mic edit the begining of each track and take out all the "empty spaces". that will make the begining nice and quiet and that "room noise" won't get in the way of your reverb. i'll be tuning in to your station!

thanks for a very constructive review. When it comes to "tech issues" I think the biggest one I have is me.

Very nice melody! The double guitars work so well together, and love how one is slightly panned to the right. Although I must agree with npk417 that the bongos had a little too much reverb, but everything else is lovely! I usually overdo my reverbs myself =( pain in the ass to kick that habit if you ask me haha.

Excellent job!!

thanks for your encouraging and helpful review - the recording technique for me is always a bit (a lot) hit and miss, where to pan instruments, what reverb to use. Glad u liked.

A nice combination of simple, thoughtful elements. I like the reverb quality in the lead guitar lines - it certainly helps open up the sound of the track and add some space. Be careful to avoid having too many different degrees of reverb (i.e. the bongos are just a little too wet in sound), since it distracts from the well-rounded, easy-going sound of the song as a whole. The maj-7th intervals contribute a lot of that good feeling too. Keep at the good work!

Thank you for your constructive review. I find reviews like this very helpful as I can easily overdose on reverb !!

Description : There were two separate tracks in work, but who knows why I got tired with them and then decided to merge them (or at least what left from them) into one piece hence they originate out of same musical purpose. No worries...no world war was ment here, except my recent personal one...haha...and you don't want to know about it.:) It's not real etude by any means, yet it's quite alot about practicing...practicing...

Description : Again, another early production from like two years ago. I had a cheap little Yamaha acoustic guitar that I borrowed and mic'd and some congas that were given to me as a birthday present. I used my iPad GarageBand app to record the strings and the big bass drum thingy at the interlude and little electric guitar parts in there too haha. All the vocals were done by myself and my brother throws in some little things here and there with his voice :P Enjoy!
