Description : Of all the classic Monster tales the Wolfman is definitely one of the saddest. Cursed, and destined to live as both man and monster. During the day he sits alone with his guitar, a prisoner of lonely existence, crying his heart out through his music. Then at night, the beast emerges, and in the dark under a full moon, he cry's as he rips the hearts out of his victims! Such is the life of a cursed bluesman!
Its 2019 Halloween, I am still listing Groove Like A Zombie song, looking for zombie scary costumes, for this year, thanks for all 3 songs hope we will get more songs this year.
Hey thanks Bella ! I'm a huge fan of Halloween and as you well know, thoroughly enjoy doing theme tracks. Groove Like A Zombie is certainly one my biggest tracks in terms of popularity. It's great to have you give it a mention. I just put the annual Halloween track post in the forum, and hopefully it sparks some interest and activity.
I love the narratives, and the fact that you offer narratives for your tracks! Yep, I'm corny like that. Lol It helps me envision your vision while I'm visioning your vision and listening. [chuckles] Ah hem.
I'm not one for mixing and mastering or any of those things, but this sounds clean and I can imagine Mister sad wolf sitting on the back porch playing his heart out. He may even been humming something about how he cures his loneliness through his victims. Oh, and I love the ending. :-) And since there's no download...fave! Thanks.
Yeah I really like to embellish on these descriptions. Its fun for me and as you say provides my vision. Yeah I like your vision too. I appreciate the fave and went ahead and unlocked it for download if you like. Thanks for the listen and nice comment.
Thanks Bill. Yeah its basically just some variations of the one main riff with a couple of chorus sections. Pretty simple by design really. Chord chasing the solo's and accentuating the plucks and pull offs for some funkiness.
Everything is good and i love the scary start and it feels so good
When the intro is over and beat plays after that drums, guitar etc all look good together
Thanks for the comment NAYAB. Always cool to see some new faces in the comment section. Yeah I watched several of the classic monster movies and wanted the intro to have that sort of feel.
Ahhhhooooo yeah ! Thanks Wayne. You know the most famous werewolf song ever is Warren Zevons "Werewolves of London". A cult classic which he said was a dumb song for smart people. His biggest hit by far and such a clever song. There's been many movies made over the years about werewolves and yet somehow the monster with the deepest history and the most realistic origins is among the least popular. Did you know Lycanthropy is real? Its a rare psychiatric syndrome that involves a delusion that the affected person can transform into a wolf. There are many documented cases that date all the way back to the Bible which refers to King Nebuchadnezzar's behavior in the book of Daniel 4 as being a manifestation of clinical lycanthropy. Crazy huh?
Well, I have to be honest it definitely isn't a one shot play through. That's the beauty of the recording studio, ha ha! Anyhow I really appreciate the comment bro and suggest you check out some of my other tracks if your hungry for more guitar based stuff.
He did the mash, the moster mash :p Was this recorded at the crossroads? Maybe Satan on drums. Nothing like the blues neo! I need to pick a monster for my Halloween track this year, already had Rotting Horde the zombie blues band lol!
I figured the Halloween thread would entice a lot of you guys out of hiding ! Yeah its always fun and I know you dig it for sure. I have done Zombies, Frankenstein, Demons and now The Wolfman, so I'm making my way through the list! I actually started on a rockabilly Vampire thing but also had the main riffs for this that just took off quicker. I really wanted to do something more campy, with some old classic movie lines. If I get the time I may still try to finish it. If not I will have a good start for next year.
Wonderful track!
Very bluesy: I like a lot the guitar and bass parts. Very inspired.
...and I totally agree on what you said on the Wolfman: he is a sad and lonely man who does not even deserve the right to shed tears, because he is a fierce creature and nobody will ever imagine how deep his feelings are.
So he goes on singing the blues and playing his bass! ;-)
Take care.
Yours sincerely, MrWolf
Hey Mr.Wolf, I figured you would dig this track man! BTW, did I hear you ran amuck in Kent a while back? Dont worry, your secret is safe with me bro. (Ha ha, Thanks)
Nice work! Love the atmospheric intro. This is perfect for a party mix,Solid blues track holds it together nicely! Also i have a soft spot for werewolves \m/
Yeah the werewolf is a strange cat, er I mean dude, but hes definitely cool and the chicks dig him. That is until he takes a bite out of them! Lol...Thanks FD.

Description : This is a tune dedicated to my friend, Nancy, who followed me to the clubs I played at for years, and is still following me with my studio work. Why do I dedicate this to her? Onnacounta cause she's soooooo naughty! She never liked violins, but loved her sax! Here's to you, Nancy. Anyway, this is a little blues track with some nice guitar and sex...oh, sorry, I mean sax.
Description : A sultry, seductive, and fairly short acoustic blues number. It is an instrumental and only took about 2 hours to write, record, and get a decent mix. Enjoy! Updated: I added some slight echo to the electric guitar and widened the stereo fields of the acoustic rhythm and leads.
Description : Miguel Flores, vocals. Jean-Maurice Humbert-Droz, lead guitars. Laurent Schwaar, guitars. Roland Sumi, bass. Richard Pizzorno, Hammond. Laurent Wirz Drums. Loop from josephfunk (rhodes). Composed by Miguel Flores.
Description : guitar on right run thru my friends mesa rec 25. It has an absolutely gorgeous tone. The guitar playing D, C #, B is run thru guitar rig 6. The the pushed back guitar on the left is also run thru the mesa. My UNC chapel-hill decision letter is coming out tomorrow and I'm super stressed. Whipped out my guitar and recorded some stuff. Hope you like it.
Description : Fresh out of the studio after 10 weeks of deliberating, planning, writing and performing.
This could be classed as Country Blues or Southern Rock...either way I think it may get your toes tapping. So grab your partner and jump on the dance floor with this one.
I am performing the following instruments...vocals, electric guitars, slide acoustic, bass, harmonica, organ. I wrote the following instrument parts in MIDI....drums, percussion, piano, horns. This was a beast to master but I think it turned out okay.
No loops used.
Description : UPDATE 26/01/2014: Improved loads of things in what is probably my greatest chillout alternative blues piece. Ambient, ethereal, groove-based delta slide blues. Contemplative and melodic. Multiple, layered , sometimes shimmering resonator guitar parts with solid, warm synth bass, an ethereal bed of pads (which are actually guitars) and second electronic drumkit to contrast the acoustic kits. I thought this was perfect a few years ago but it wasn't (and still isn't). Now has clearer drums and lots of small awkward bits of guitar have been trimmed. Quite a minimalistic and short piece for me - I don't just keep bringing in new instruments, as I usually do. This should really chill you out...
I'm not one for mixing and mastering or any of those things, but this sounds clean and I can imagine Mister sad wolf sitting on the back porch playing his heart out. Thanks JC.
Ha yeah. Better its the blues and not the Wolfman !
Thanks Mahloo.
Yeah bro, the wolfman is pretty GQ when it comes to his threads. And his hair is perfect !
Love the niffty riffs......
Cheers...
Bill
