Description : Everyone seems to be using acapella recently. I ran across some "spoken word" that was inspiring so... That's what this is. I don't know if it would still be considered "acapella". most of the drums are Laurentwirz my fav drummer on LM

Description : OK, I finally managed to find a song name, so here it is. But the genre is still open. WTF is it? World? Trip? Trance? Rock? psychedelic? .
I started this song with the wahwah background track, I think I wanted to go in the triphop direction but when I played with it and tried out things I added some Tabla sounds from the available sound library of the cubase software to it, just to get a feel for it. It sounded right somehow, and so it developed from there. As before, we did the work on wikiloops band section: bhunt1 (Brian) on Bass added his track, and rp3drums (Raymond) on drums (one straight drum track, and one para-diddle track). I then added several more guitar tracks.
So I would be happy to listen to your comments and advice, and if I get a good suggestion for name and genre I will change it. Cheers, TG :D

Description : Psychedelic, Eastern, dark dance/jazz/fusion based around my cello playing plus minimal other instrumentation. Two sections of electric guitar, one of Fender Rhodes, one synth pad, some swirling female vocal samples and one sub synth bass. Apart from multiple drum loops and programmed acoustic drumkits, everything else is cello, including most of the weird sounds.

I did enjoy playing the Keyz on this track. I love the sound of the Rhodes.
Lately I've been working at finding a signature Synth sound but I'm sill on the fence as far as a fav.

I'm sorry for the delay with my response. I've been on LM for over a year and still didn't realize I had to be logged in to get the reply button.
I'm glad you liked this track. I was experimenting with vocals, since everyone seemed to be posting tracks with vocals in them. I couldn't find any vocals that I could do something with so, I had thought about doing backdrops for spoken word a while back so I gave it a shot, broadened my horizons and all that.LOL
It was interesting for me to play without being the focus.

I'm playing them (keys), I use my controller and Ablelton live VST's for all instruments except the druns and the spoken word. I've been trying really hard to play the sounds I hear in my head, genre is not on my radar. I'm sure someone will get all philisophical and say; No genre is a genre... LOL

this is just fantastic. You know that I love your stuff and like you, I would love to see it more featured. The comment function here on LM is essential for that. You can easily find some music that catches your interest and then you should comment it. You don't have to feel bad about it. Tell folks that you like their music or what you would change or maybe you can help with some hints. That's the way you can get in touch with other artists and exchange - and that's what this site is about. I see it more like a community ...

I saw your comment yesterday but, there was no "reply" button. I'm glad they fixed it.You and the LM community have made this site an excellent place for musical expression. Your comments encourage me to keep trying when I want to stop. It's so interesting to listen to the evoloution of the music of some of the LM alumni like yourself (5yrs or more). There is a huge body of musical works on LM. 5 yrs from now I hope to look back on the tracks that all the players have shared and know that I was there too.
