Hola Sirefox,
Sorry for the late reply. Yeah, I want to do a little art, art to think about things. I'm happy when I get someone to think about what we're doing. But I also know this is hard work and I'm not good enough for reaching masses with it, but I'm working on it! And as long as there are people like you and loads of others here on Looperman who like my music, I'll keep going. Thanks.
Greetings
Matthias
I listened to three of your tracks before I got to this one. I like what your doing...reminded me of "Zombies". Keep up the good and original work. Rich
Aigain.... just in 1 word..fantastic.
Its the perfect track for in the cinema.
even though it doesn't scare me. That's because I've seen every horror movie in the past
Hi Rita,
you are the un"beat"able women. I think you are very tough. But maybe one day I will be able to create a beat wich makes you fearful. It semes to be a very hard job, (for me) I think.
Have a nice weekend.

hey pal — i waited til i had the right time and space to re-experience this creation, and i’m floored by the spacious and dynamic new mix!
i do think both mixes have good standing, though. mix 1 had a certain ancient tunnel ambience i really quite liked.
i have an idea for you — ask a couple loopers whose work you admire from a production standpoint to mix/master one of your tracks. you can analyze the results as guides to help find your own sound. just remember, being true to your own vision in the end is what counts, all the tech in the world is only a means, not an end. o hell, you know that.
anyways, this work is a trip to the final bunker, scary and impressive as hell. keep going further, brother!
Hi Micheal,
thanks again for your comment. I think you are right, it´s a question of the own feeling about it. But I´m not really sure which type is better, the clear one or the first one.
Hope I can hear something new from you!
Greetings my brother
Matthias
I'm no expert but here's a couple suggestions:
Get all your tracks to between -6 and -12 Db
Get the master track to between 0 and -3Db (loudest) or -6 to -3Db (if you are going to "master it")
It's free. I like my mixes at about -14LUFS, but that is a bit quiet for some tastes. From what I understand, a "master" is around -9, but this is just what I have learned from various tutorials.
Hi bringerofDOOM,
thanks, I downloaded it just now. Maybe it´s time to spend more time for my tracks. And your tips help. Thank you for this. It´s very nice that you write again to give me a bit input, very welcome.

Wow, Matthias.
This is right up my street my friend.
It is a great track really is a great production, my friend.
However, I must agree with Danke to me pumping up the volume is not the way to create an impact but with mixing and adding an appropriate plugging you would achieve what you are looking for.
This is my view I hope you don’t mind me saying it my friend.
I think you are doing a great job by taking advice from Eric he is a great guy and I have a lot of respect for him.
Anyway, well done my man.
Maj
Hi Maj,
you wrote:"This is my view I hope you don’t mind me saying it my friend. "
And what can I say: "NOOOOOOOOOOOO, I don´t mind you"
One of the reaseons, why I´m here on LM, are you guys. You are so cool musicians and I admire the work you leave here. And I hoped that I can get some input from the Pro´s. Everytime when I listen to your tracks, Maj, I wish I can be as good as you are in mastering and mixing. You are universes ahead of me and I hoped a long time that you can help me.
Whatever my friend thanks a lot for your comment and listen.

Matthias
Wow! That's about all I can say. The vision and how you have managed to translate it are fantastic. Love the lyrics sheet. And to me the mix and production sound perfect. What did you use for the strings?
Thanks.
I uesd comercial loops.
Maroon String (Modern Fairytale), Dwarf String (Movie Score), Contra Bass (natural Ambient), Elysee Bass (Beach Grooves, Chillout).
The Sound must be better in the next track, but this here is better than the version before.
Cheers
Matthias
Well, Matthias. This is a really excellent track. Very creative. Lots of surprises, nice and somewhat scary on occasion. I enjoyed listening to it. Could be used in a video game. Or, perhaps a scary animated short film! :)
I do, however, agree with Danke about the mix. I don't think it is too loud, but I do think that it would be even more impactful if there was more separation of the various sounds and instruments in the mix and greater dynamic range.
It's a Phil Spector wall of sound, which is fine if that's what you are wanting. But, with this kind of cinematic music I think separation of the instruments in the frequency spectrum and in the overall soundstage (panning and distance) is critically important.
There's so much good stuff going on, and the overall effect of the track is massive, but I think you can achieve that and more with a less dense mix. Also, from the frequency display, there's virtually no dynamics in the mix. For cinematic/classical type music, dynamics are really effective and are the norm.
This track has great potential. I hardly ever go back to completely re-work a track I've finished, but I would really encourage you to spend a few hours and experiment with a remix. Copy the project in its entirely so you aren't working with this version. Drop all the individual track faders all the way down, shut off all the effects on individual tracks including any EQs and reverbs, set the master output on your DAW so that you are mixing in mono, not stereo, turn down the volume on your monitoring mix so it is pretty quiet, and then start by EQing each individual instrument/sound so it finds its own place in the mix. Then, gradually pull things together, with panning and balancing track volumes, adding volume automation, etc. Mixing in mono is a humbling experience. You have to work harder to make things sound good. And monitoring a higher volume levels makes things sound better than they really are, so mixing at a relatively low volume also helps you construct a mix that will sound much better when it is played at a louder volume.
Finally, shift the output mix from mono to stereo and do some further adjustments because, depending on your use of stereo instruments and panning in the individual tracks, that will likely make a significant difference in how the overall mix sounds. Then, apply the mastering effects to the output track. It shouldn't need much compression in the mastering chain. Depending on the dynamic range, probably will need a limiter, but don't set it too low and squash the entire mix. This track is bursting with the potential for dynamics.
For what it's worth, that's my advice. I think the composition is great and deserves to be given the best mix possible.
this is so cool that you give me the chance to learn something. I loved to read what you wrote.
Normaly I wouldn´t work on my tracks again but you took so much time to give me your knowledge that I want to make it for you. THANK YOU that´s really nice.
And thanks for your comment besides passing on knowledge.

No problem ... tonight i already drank 3 small glasses of a good kind of Hungarian pálinka, maybe it caused a huge sniff in my head ... :-)
this is an outstanding song, don't deal with me ...
very cool soundtrack noises ... don't consider it intrusive but for me the mix is a bit loud, sometimes I hear overdriven sounds ... that makes the music world class and probably still good --- :-)
Thanks Danke,
you know it means a lot to me if you like my music, i'm one of your thousand fans here on LM. But I´m honestly I didn´t noticed that overdriven sounds, I´m a bloody beginner, oh no!!! (It seems: Even a blind rooster finds some korns.)

Powerful sounds, impactful. I like orchestration, especially in cinematic pieces. The crow's cackling is an ominous sound and sets the feel right from the beginning. Sounds as if you were successful in conveying your intention for the track to make the listener get involved in the emotion you created.
Hi Wayne,
it´s nice that I catched you to listen to my feelings. Thats very good to hear. Thank you. I also like orchestration but I didn´t reached my goal to make it a bit more rock. Maybe in one of my next track it is more rock and classical.

Hahaha sorry mister!!!There are many great scary sounds in it but you need to make the music more excited scary to have that real scary effect..if i say it well.
But thats personal for me.
maby i see to much horrors to not get fast that scary feeling anymore lol.
ahhhh, Matthias you devil. i fell into this tune like a slow motion bullet aimed at (whose??) heart — penetrating all the layers and shredding and spreading like a hollowpoint shell until at last i reached my target — and then hesitated — but how can i turn back? hahahaha!!
immense sound quality, my friend, this is one immersive experience. and the composition itself is really beautiful. that plaintive lead is a terrific voice, and the many details are so well-done they become integral to the music, the mad logic, the horror. superb.
Hi Michael,
thank for your discription to my track, very nice.
When I made the leadline/melody I felt like the line itself. Think about the titel of our track. Sometimes you have contact with people who have the important goal to have much money. All their thinking and behavior is for this goal. You can see it and feel it and it repels you.
But for you, my brother: I wish you have a nice beginning of the week.

beautiful?!? hmmmm, OK!?!
I hoped it was as scary as your last trip behind the B.
I must learn how to be scary. When I read your comment I can think you saw a lovemovie.

Description : Ok...here it is! Another colab with maestro Tumbleweed! Ed provided the unfinished, basic track...I composed and recorded the long intro using different synths and then added piano (well to the fore) and some brass arrangements along the rest of the track (no violin this time...hehe) and then did the final mixing to wrap it up as it is presented now. I hope you will enjoy it and we both appreciate your listening time and your valuable comments:) Otherwise all thanks to Ed!

Ft jjweekz for the voice effect,

AcidPro on darbuka
Danke on big cymbals
Loopfreak on indian percussions
Anubis on big drums
Tell me what this track made to you ^^'
Thank you.
Description : Dark, slow, ambient, cinematic jazz with funereal piano turning into something much funkier, psychedelic and beautiful in the second half. Out of the darkness and into the light, you could say. Instruments: electric guitar + bass, lots of synth sounds, including a horn, double bass, another big legato bass, pizzicato strings, two types of piano, a heavily delayed slide guitar instrument, zither, synth arp, one brushy drum loop, kettle drum rolls and 4 programmed acoustic drum kits. This is quite a special track for me and is only the second I've put in the cinematic genre. The more you listen, the more it changes (it even has key changes) and the last three minutes are really quite far out and should probably be longer. Best track I've made for a few months. Interesting thoughts and reflections appreciated. Free sex for the best reviews...
Description : So a new track for everyone. Im pretty impressed by this one, and would even place it higher than one of my best tracks, Angel And A Demon. However, I'm trying to decide whether or not I should put vocals to it. I have some in mjnd, but idk if itd be better to leave as is and keep it instrumental or not. Take a listen and let me know! Also, let me know if anything is too loud, still working on my mastering.
Description : NEVER STOP DREAMING!
Love what you do and do what you love.
Made out of Looperman Loops!
Made in 2 Hours!
