If you have time take a listen and give Zootman some feedback.
I thought so. The main idea was around the Truth. I don't know who said it but the full quote is "trust those who seek the truth, not those who say they found it". I liked that a lot.
WOWWW!! & WOWWW!!! again, this is some honest to goodness groovyness! right here man, this is GREAT! work indeed, your vocals suit the track perfectly. I use to like those pear drop sweets we have here but no longer eat those, I'm a stickler for keeping my teeth looking pretty and they can be bad for teeth :) EXCELLENT TRACK.
Ha ha yes, I hide my lolly eating from my children, as far as they are concerned we don't sully our precious bodies with that sort of crap! Always appreciate your listening and comments thanks so much.
Chur bro, been a bit stuck in the doldrums musically and emotionally lately but working on something now I'm fairly excited about. Always appreciate your ears and words of wisdom. Keep on keeping on mate.
zootman2u, you got me with the bass. Yep! You’ve got the drums right at that sweet spot mix wise and the proximity on the vocals, however you processed them fit the overall theme of the song perfectly. Much respect on your technique. Be safe.
Hey man! I absolutely love this track. In fact, I would really love to do a remaster of it and see if any more quality can be pushed from it, because it has a lot of potential. You will have full credit for the track, and no monetary gain will come from it.
Sure man, happy for that. Let me know if u need anything. I had been considering going back and doing a little tweaking of the arrangement but hasn't got around to it.
Thanks Wayne, I listened to the Joe Strummer track and understand your comment. Its a pretty cool song, I haven't heard much at all of his solo stuff. Cheers.
This is fing sick man. That bass line sounds oh boy. Everything you added fits in so much, so glad I waited to hear the vocals. I agree with Michael Mayo this could be in a film. Keep up the great work!
Missed this earlier, bro the bass and lead are fire, consistent beat, liked the keys coming then the change, wasn't expecting them lyrics moody cowboy edge real cool zoot
Excellent groovy track you know you need to King on this one Elvis Presley lol
Curious to know what has changed with the acid drops if you can't get them no more?
That bassline reminded me a small bit of ¨The Bogus Man" from Roxy Music but with more syncopated drums.. really good, I like the arrangement, the Rhodes, and the strummed guitar chords. well-liked, the vox was cool as well, well delivered.

thanks heaps. i listened to that roxy music track. I knew they were pretty experimental in their first incarnation (Brian Eno was with them wasn't he?) but had never heard any of the early stuff. i liked that track, thanks.
Great guitar work, great composition, with puzzling time signature. When the vocals started I was thinking of Steve Miller ... but of course this is unique. Very good work!!!
Regards,
Micky
haha good ears someone noticed or at least commented. yep, i was kind of aiming for a sort of polyrhythmic effect. it has no real time signature, or at least no set beginning or end to any 'bar'. or maybe no bars as such! I used two drum loops which i do quite a lot, then kind of slid one past the other until I ended up with something interesting. and the other bits and pieces kind of just got thrown in to wherever i thought they sounded good. cheers for the listen.
Buen tema amigo zootman2u, poderoso bajo, y esas guitarras especiales, voz perfecta adaptándose en cada momento a la pista. Calidad en la mezcla. Me gusta como te ha quedado. Salud y paz para todos.
Hi Chris,
yippee aye eh. This is a great song to start the day. Well done. The bass, from megapaul, does his work well and your voice fits as always.
Have a nice day! Enjoy the time, the tide comes everywhere at some point (maybe you heard about it what happened here in europe).
Greetings
Matthias
Hi M, thanks for stopping by. Yeah the floods sounded really bad. Hope you're not affected as so many people seem to have been. Have a good day my friend.
Thanks mate. This mix is one I sent to landr for mastering. To be honest, when I compare my master with theirs they're pretty similar I think, apart from the volume increase. Which is heartening actually.
i thought there should be a male voice when i listened before 1/3 of the song, and then it comes on. Good funky song, but i dont really like effects on the voice, but it just imho. keep it up!
Great Track - love it - foot stomping head nodding grove, great sound, good vocal, lyrics even a hint of what sounds like a Hammond organ (btw I actually have a real one of those - seriously) Well done mate - REAL music!

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
