Good stuff MrAxel. You can hear the fun you had playing! I think the mix is well balanced except for maybe a small boost to the mid-lows. The instrumenst all have their place and shine as the should. Hats off for making a great track and a fun one to listen to.
I don't know what's happening lately on Looperman, but every time I log in I am treated to some real deal rock! This track of yours does not disappoint. I love the raw quality and the production is top notch. Well done, guys...
Tried to reply to your comment on my bell jar blues track but LM threw some sort of fit. Thanks mate, I'm just glad you got it! But actually the short (less than 1min) track pseudoble gave me already had a cool mix of blues and country/blue grass (?), I just gave it a twist. And to be honest, to me it's a pale imitation, and clearly derivative, of stuff Beck was doing back in the day. Try his Mellow Gold album for some true genre bending sounds. That's a true classic album for me. Anyway, i'm looking forward to hearing more tunes from you mate!
Suena autentico.
I miss the days of jamming with a band, sounds like fun! Where is the singer, c'mon, with all that talent none of you knew a singer with an afternoon off? ;) That would have been the icing on the cake cuz this was a tasty treat!
We are called THE FIVE MISTER MEANERS. Mr. Gary, our vocalist was not available and I sound like an alley cat on steroids.
We are just a bunch of old guys Wayne. No real studio to speak of like the good old days in my fathers garage.
If I ever get ahold of Mr. Gary, the singer, and 5th guy, I will drop in his raspy and rusty vocals. He does know how to get online so I hope he does not see this.
Until Team Time, Cheers!
Mr. Axel (of THE FIVE MISTER MEANERS)
Me and the guys had a lot of fun drinking tea, making music, and remembering the good old days before all of this bloody computer music muck. I am not hating, its just back in my days things were way different. Nobody plays anymore, just lots of sampling. Maybe I am old and just throwing a wobbly right about now, lol. Well, it was a good one. Thank you Maj!
oh yeah - sunshine of my love (is it? - I get my old stuff mixed up) very cool riff once rocked out on that on my first electric guitar (in the mid 70's). Great production sound on this too - well done
This is just great what you didd here.
What can i say more!!
Welcome New new Mr Axel!!
You know? you bring a nice memory back to me
years ago i was in Hellevoetsluis in a Englisch pub with this kind of music.I was a little afraid to go inside because there where a few big men with long wild beards and motor jackets like hells angels. But in the end they where so friendly and the music like your music and everything together gives a great atmosphere and a wonderfull evening.
Hallo Miss Rita, I am going to stay in Englisch so that I do not exclude anyone. Well, it seems like we both have music interests from about the same time period. This was one of my favorites so I had to try remaking it. I am so happy my friends did this one with me.
Thank you Miss Rita, I am a big fan of your music.
Trolls can be real annoying but all our community are strong and support, never let them win, keep your inbox closed just comments here open never respond to them it feeds them, remember your the artist, you have the creative flair, they got nothing to offer and TBF we all know that they rent mam's back room cos they ain't got a job or a girl, and spend their day thrashing their sad carrot to internet porn sad f#cks
So I press play as I'm hearing the music I'm reading the description and I'm thinking the same thing yeah baby! Lol crazy! Hella dope! I been listening to your loops great work!
this is very cool ... live band playin is always a pleasure in this page so clap, clap ...
but believe me my friend I am not so critical, this production lacks the bass guitar ... please give me more volume of your instrument please, there is no depth in the song ... of course I only write this with the intention of help, no war ... :-)
handsake, Danke
I got you brother all the way. But I played a distortion 4 string Ibanez bass and not a Rick Bass. Next time I will use the Rick. We did this in one weekend because these guys are going away soon on their family summer vacations. Thanks for everything. Constructive criticism is always a good thing mate! Thank you Danke!
Wow Mr Axel, really glad you opened your comments again, proper rock track, all the guys, fire musicians really got my head shaking, your last track was sensational but I couldn't tell you :)
Hey Paul. In the beginning, I was scared to open my comments because there is a nasty troll who comes around here every once in a while. I am going to start opening up more there brother. Hey, you are about my age, from the last comment you made. Okay, I will check you out too!
Until Tea Time, Cheers!

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
Description : This is the 2nd cover of Big Audio Dynamite i done With my freind John. We both fan of the band so we decided to do a challenge and produce a serie of covers. we done 4 in one month. each track got it proper video check my youtube channel indiegroundvid
