Seriously cool percussion (always a fav part of music for me). A, Nicely laid-in composition that's driven by the rhythm. flute is nice. I wonder how a distorted flute would sound.. hmmm I'm going to have to try that someday, I digress.. Sax is always nic followed by a Piano like that. I am bobbing along at this point. Maling all those Musician faces that Musicians who appreciate fine music make while listening. Awesome tune man.

Whats good Steven? Thanks for the stop and compliments. But the musicians camaraderie you exude is an strong trait of yours. Now for the dirty flute business you mentioned, brilliant idea . Plus the highest honor is a BOBBING HEAD and STANK FACE we make when it hits just right. Peace.

I'm usually not a fan of jazz, but this was really smooth, and has a really groovy vibe. I was not expecting a little cheeky flute, but I'm glad it was there now

Greetings, what have we here? Some good old school jazzy stuff. I dig it. For a jazz song it was kinda long though. But i liked this track none the less. All the jazz elements are on point in this song. And yes this would be something if i was visiting a good old cafe or pub with a good glass of whiskey the kind of music i like to listen to. So well done king it was a blast. Have a good one & keep on creating, Verdi

In my country in such a case we simply say "respect". You dear musicians give music a special meaning and the instruments in your hands are talking another language, so magical and intense. When it comes to jazzmasters I simply enjoy the fruits of their mastery.
Best wishes, Anthony

Hey Mark,
It's always great listening in again to how you tweak/finesse your tracks so you rolled this one back to it's original version, it still sounds fresh in any case, such a classy jazz treat that I could hear playing at some fine luxury venue, it has all the sounds you certainly hold the torch when it comes to jazz. Enjoyed hearing this sweet track again Bravo. Stay Safe.

yeah, how did I miss this one, my friend? that bass and percussion was almost giving me an udu drum-like feel. In my mind, I was substituting that percussion as I listened. That sax @ 1;46 was perfect. You have a great sense of percussion placement and I appreciate that about your work. I would love to hear a remix of your work incorporating some world instruments as I just think it would add to the flavour of the brew you have been concocting. Food for thought ehh?

Very nice. I like that you manage to find unorthodox complexity within a 4/4 context, and I think everyone could use more yazz flute.

What services, if any, do you use to get horn solo clips?
kingmt77
kingmt77 replied 12th Nov 2021 - 3 years ago
bringer, greetings my dude! You know in my sleep I'm dreaming all sorts of odd and strange things about making 4/4 pop. And a good flute riff is always appropriate I feel. Those types of Sax samples that fit so well in this composition I can only find when I'm not looking for them lol. The saxes are courtesy of Splice and Hip Hop Lounge Saxes and I did the arrangement for this piece but you know that already :) I got the email from you. I'll take a listen in a little bit. Be safe and stay warm, cause it's snowing here.

This is one of the MOST brilliant pieces of music to come out of Looperman in a very long time. This is what I call cerebral jazz--it's not just something you listen to, but rather it's also music that beckons you to contemplate every note and nuance. Were this track was for sale, I would have gladly paid the price. Well, done, sir!

Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...

Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
