Thanks Wayne, you kind of spurred me into redoing this with your comment on the first version. I don't really have a real amp any more, wish I did. I just run everything through guitar rig 6 the free version. I can't speak highly enough of that vst it is amazing for all sorts of things. I tweaked one of the presets, can't remember which one off hand. Och aye amigo.
Oh hell yeah what a great start I like this kind of rock the vocals remind me of the seventies style a little bit. I'll try to come out my comfort zone so I'm going to put this next on my list the rock genre but right now I'm trying to work on it reggaeton but definitely you and danke are the creators in the Rock area
Bro, thanks a lot for the listen and down load. Seriously I don't think I'm anywhere near the league of danke or any one else for that matter but you can only do your best. I do enjoy the challenge of writing songs tho. Cheers.
This track sounds great mister.
Love that voice and text.
Im not downloading often tracks to listen back but this one i want on my pc to listen back.
Thank you for sharing.
Nice to here your voice again Chris, real good track, you dropped the intro straight into the vox this time around the tweeks and Rock edge gives this a massive lift, and I like this better than the trap version although that's good you should get the Mrs backing on this a third version
Ha ha cheers Paul, the first hurdle is getting her to listen to it lol. Yeah I kinda liked this version. Probably should have worked on the arrangement a bit more, I feel like it capitulated a bit at the end, maybe should have dropped it back into the rock to finish but couldn't really be assed!
zootman2u, I hear the extra work you've put in. Don't you worry anything about mixing with those headphones. You got the job done and done well. Drums punchy vocals strong. This balanced mix made this song a great listen.

Hi there, thanks very much. I did try a bit more production on this one with some compression on drums and vox and some saturation. I sometimes find it hard to hear the effects of the compression but I think I'm training my ear to it a little now.
Wow..impressive! I realy dig the style of music. Pleasant tone on your voice, fits perfect with your music. For a headphone mix its good. My only preference is to maybe brighten up the guitar a tad bit. Other than that, stellar production and performance.
Hi there, thanks very much for the constructive comment. I did brighten the guitar a little and upped them in the mix a fraction. Cheers mate, have a good day.
first of all ... faved from the first notes ... brilliant sounded and played track ... great mix on my standard and that voice of yours is absolutely fantastic for this alt/rock style ... just a note in parentheses: a quiet background vox could still come to the chorus ... (I've been humming myself ...) :-)
fistbump, Danke
Hey there, thanks heaps man I was kind of hoping you'd hear and actually like this, I think I had you in mind a bit. In fact I was half in mind to ask you to play some guitar! I wasn't sure about this one cause between producing this version and the original it became hard to listen objectively after a while. Lastly, most times I listen to your work I end up humming melodies to myself:)
Another cool version ... cant remember apart from the different beat what else has changed but I love this one too : ) (will go have another listen to the first)
Quick off the mark mate! Added guitars, new bass (was quite pleased with that), upped the tempo a fraction, changed vox processing and arrangement a little. Still needs a tweak here and there. Cheers for your support Ian :)

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
Description : This track was like the inhale after an exhale of aggressive industrial-electro-sludge tracks that I had put out that summer and fall. This was the more reserved, and introspective winter track. It's nothing spectacular, but I still really enjoy it. I hope you do too. Take care. V.
Description : when i was a kid you could go down and buy acid drops at the dairy - sour boiled sweets....vox, guitars and keys by me. Bass a LM loop by megapaul.
I love it!
The echo you are using at the end, is it an echo pedal, digital plugin or what? I don't have an echo plugin, delay is cool and I use it a lot.
Yup, after a few listens, it's Pink Floyd meets Blue Oyster Cult. I like it! he Well done!
