I'm Chillllin baby. Those synths sound nice. For some reason it makes me think of a ball game. Maybe that's because I'm in side trapped by two feet of snow.
Ahh, Boston. My fav city in the US. 544 Tremont st Addis Ababa had the best Ethiopean but sadly closed, or I remember Drinking in the Sam Adams brewpub in the Phoenix, while I was wearing an IHL Kc Blades Jersey, the bathroom was in the Hotel, and I distinctly laughed when the swanky couple walking behind me said. ¨He must be canadien¨. At the time I wasn´t but ironically now some 27 years later I am a Canadien having married one, and moved to Quebec. Artu, Italien, Redbones in Sommerville. Gawd I miss that Nawlins style BBQ! And maybe this song belongs at a ballgame, I will take two Fenway franks any day! I caught a game in 95 (Rangers-Bruins) at the old Gahden when Moss still grew on the ceiling in march. Thanks for checking in and don´t be a stranger. Boston people and Worcester people have been some of the kindest people I have encountered. I would gladly pay forward a Dunkin Donuts Coffee for yah mate!
Another enjoyable piece from you, Steve. I honestly wish this song would have made it to the TV. It deserved the recognition and hard work you put into it. The chill smooth vibes from this could've even made it to the video game industry if you ask me. I get Nintendo-64 vibes from this for some reason. Are you still in contact with that drummer? Who knows maybe something else will come along if you want it that is. Regardless great work as usual.
Thanks, mate. So the story behind this is that A session bassist had the idea to cull some talent and produce for TV and places where licensed music was needed. He recruited a drummer from Vancouver, but I never met him nor spoke with him. the project fell to the wayside. This demo was my contribution and is entirely my composition. I forgot that it was never released 5 years ago and I thought it would be cool to share it now. I do not actively seek new projects as I am cool with this being a semi-pro hobby.
Hey Cru, it's amazing what a strong groove you can get with organ sounds. Also very nice to hear cowbells or bottle percussion again... Very cleverly done!
Regards,
Micky
Thanks, I agree with the organ groove thang, you really can get some funky sounds when you play it percussive. And I like the usage of cowbell every now and again.
Hey Cru - smooth indeed but plenty of interest with the transitions and playing with rhythms and all round very funky while show great precision with the instrumentation. Great sound production too. : )
Hey Cru I was gonna ask the same as Chris, you are bringing delicate gentle masterpieces to the table, consistently. Even your experiments work some kind of whodoo voodoo you have, this is chillout but it got a funky edge the intro was beautiful the beat coming in a 26 and the funky keys are fantastic, I loved the drop out and repeat with its variation and percs charms used at 1.26 another great listen keep up this great work and vibe bro
Thanks, Mate. The difference between this tune in juxtaposition to my more experimental work is that I need that experimental stuff to make something like this exist, that will ultimately just sound smooth and silky. The most interesting part is at 1:53 where I do something like a rondo. It makes it sound different and interesting and yet it still follows the same musical pathway I laid out in the beginning. This was one of my more consistent works. I am gladf U enjoyed it mate, take care and stay safe!
Oh man! That's a masterful use of the electric piano, and the drums are right on point. I like what you got going in with the synths plucks in the background too, gives it that bounce or something. But yeah, it's the e piano, practically makes me salivate. Buenisimo!
had my attention right off the bat. If my weather channel played stuff like this I would just leave on during the day at home. Fab stuff Steve...was waiting for the key changes (an old idea) but kept me in the groove all the way. Fav..Ed
What a fantastic lounge here Steve ...groovy is too good as the fxes, noises randomly used ... you never disapoint ... not a second of boredom in the song, it pulls me through ... that's why it ended quite suddenly unfortunately ... but I'll put it among the best songs on Looperman's on my flash drive ...
hats off Steve, Danke
Hah, lol, yes this is my work when I am focused on a more commercial mainstream idea. The experimentation that I do on other songs allows me to create something like this which is more subtle.
From the very first note I knew this was going to be an enjoyable listen so yeah glad to get front row seat to listen to this golden nugget right here. A very sweet & super chill track indeed & that change around 1:53 was super duper smoothhhh!!!This whole production would bring the sun the sun out such a rejuvenating! piece of musical art Bravo!!
Merci Madame! The story behind this one is about 5 years ago I was approached by way of this site to join a very good session bassist with an incredible drummer from Vancouver to make music for TV and the internet. That never came to fruition ultimately but this song was my creative contribution. Narcissistically I use this tune to this day as my phone ring-tone. I thought I should share it with you all. Thank you for the kind words.

Description : Sounds of the sea and trippy acidy washes with a cool beat and some live acoustic guitar. Written in Cubase with live guitar and keys etc. The sound of the sea and birds was recorded on the beach where I used to live. After moving to the city one sunny day I was telling stories to a friend about living by the sea and started making this track.
Description : This improv recorded a few years ago powered my interest even further than I expected.....recorded using tc electronics pedal and tascam studio recorder and a Fender Squier tele electric....
Description : I used some new "Anthem" pickups from L.R. Baggs on my Martin acoustic to see how it performed, and it definitely beat my expectations. Captured the sound perfectly as I needed.
Anyhoo, this song is almost a prayer, hence the repetitiveness of the verses. As Christians, we believe that God will one day return and take away every suffering and all evil for good; in that regard, this song is almost one of waiting too. Very simple, with vocal harmonies and whatnot. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Made in 13 hours.
Someone else wrote the words, I was just inspired to use them. I only added the "Yeah" and "Amen."
Description : This is a track off of one of my EP's I dropped last year. It is based on True events. Sometimes when people finally take a second in life to slow down and breathe in..... The oxygen is deflated and it's too late. Take your time people, because time is what differs a good decision over a bad one. Life is precious!

Description : So a guy buys a nice guitar at a pawn shop but returns it a few days later after waking from a sound sleep to hear it playing by itself. When he tells of his experience he is shocked to learn the owner had actually died while playing it. Is it fantasy or truth? Is the guitar in this track that very same guitar? Its all part of the mystery and fun of Halloween !
EDIT: modified ending to a deeper voice
Description : This track describes a magical state that I experienced a long time ago. Maybe you also know the feeling that you can't describe something like this with words ... luckily we have the music for it!
Description : So this is my first Chill Outish track. I was just trying something new and then suddenly this was a thing. Everything you hear is home made. I hope you enjoy. - Mr. Spook'd

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this. In my heaven there is an endless supply of honey mangoes (an exquisite beauty of the fruit world) and even more slide guitar. A 1,000-year-long version of this track plays there on a loop (long enough not to get bored of it) but here I offer you the Earthly 11 min version. You must be very good to be accepted into my heaven to hear the full thousand year version so best start now. It may be heaven's main theme tune but it's not above criticism so feel free to let me know what you think of it. Maybe you prefer the soundtrack in hell. I hear it's pretty badass...

Description : 'Nowhere to go'. It could mean many things simultaneously. Is it a feeling of despair or is it devotion, is it both? Have a pleasant listen. I really do not know what's the genre that fits best to this song. I'll ask your opinion on this. The main sequencing was done in zenbeats by Roland.
