Description : EDIT: Remade remodeled So about 3 weeks ago my laptop system collapsed. I run a Linux Kubuntu 21.10 setup and used to use a virtual box to run Windows 10. So I have been carefully restoring everything. Luckily (or smartly) I backed up all my music, software, and music samples. as well as pics and vids, so I lost nothing. It has just been kind of a pain restoring everything. I have taken this opportunity to slowly create new VST chains.

If you have time take a listen and give crucethus some feedback.
Great house music Cru, this would have the dance floor packed, it starts at a nice pace and takes time to build exactly how it should never show all your cards straightaway it has a kraftwerk feel but much more chirpy, bouncy even. I love the sheer cleanliness of this, so well structured and produced the small piece impacts double beats, delicate, love the distorted bass not a full wobble maybe semi, but it takes weeks to put things like this together, just listening and listening and a little more listening tiny tweeaks to get a sound this good, would have liked the outro faded, minor thou Steven another banger from a LM loominary :))
It did take 2 goes at it mate. the first was a new setup on my Linux system trying to test what I could do. then I went back and revisited it and made it what you hear now. The Outro is designed for a DJ to mix into something else. There is a small Afro-Caribbean influence in this one as well.
It took a while to come together but glad I stuck around. I like all the layer of information happening at about 2:35. Nice change as well in the middle. A "4 on the floor" beat needs a change every 3 min or so.
Nice ideas here, sounds like part of a larger set, an almost DJ feel. Keep it up.
WOWZERS! what a driving beat! I;m loving this so much, it's one to move to for sure! sorry about your laptop collapsing but nothing can stop your determination it seems, nice one. This is a feast for the ears, what a blast! it was hearing this. My ears are very happy this morning, my fave part especially is around 5:04 Mmmm pure deliciouness on my little ears heavenly indeed ...Hitting the love it tab on my way dancing out! :) Bravo!
Good Morning, or late evening in my North American parts ehh? 5:04 is the ethereal part over the driving beat., I feel I have finally achieved what it means to make minimal house music with this tune. I thought you might like this one for your morning run. Bisous! Cru!
Cru, yep. I'm digging the song structure, like how you added just the right elements with the sound that per my ears fit perfectly. Like the synths, especially that Nintendo vibe @1:36. And we can talk for hours on making sure everything is backed up! Right? Anyway, great work and a great listen. Peace.
Thanks, Mark. backup is key in what we do. I have a massive beast of a windows 10 computer on order coming next week, so I intend to cross back over to the dark side (from Linux) to make it a bit easier on myself in the recording sense. I never expected this time to be something, but as Rita so eloquently expressed, I need to embrace the unexpected. Because sometimes the unexpected brings fruition to creativity. That being said I wish to finish this house-music album over the next year. One of my fav albums of all time is penthouse and pavement from Heaven 17. You can hear their side one which is all analog synths to their side 2 which utilizes the Lynn drum machine and funk bass lines. I always loved that contrast in styles based on technology. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lV5dbcOmw6I&list=PLjIuADMrDKIZMPxJuZSpd1W4NZtxzQ7qd https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XV502Rw0Fqg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbhptD6H_Rc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tWN1Iz6oMo
So sorry about your technical troubles. I'm glad this piece was saved because you've taken us on a fantastic ride with it. The sounds are super high quality and I love the dynamism of the orchestration and flow. I'm very impressed with the mix and the clarity of all its internals. It seems the work of a pro.
Thanks, C-Mo2, Very high praise from you. So this piece was not saved from the abyss that happened, I created it on the spot just to test out the new setup for the DAW and mastering software. I re-visited it to polish it up as it turned out to be a cool idea (Rita has a good point about sometimes the most benign idea can be incredible). Sometimes when everything goes to shit, the most incredible better situation can arise, and in this case, it did. I am right smack in the middle of creating a house album, and I think Apex will be apart of it. thanks as always.
Hey Cru - this has a little of that Dona Summer meets kraftwerk vibe happening again but with some really gorgeous flourishes. Love the sound production too
Kraftwerk and DS (Giorgio Moroder) is just the begining. they inspired so much more to come, like this tune I quickly made which sits in the 2000's in style.
par exemple: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-vH1zo-JjM
is the master of this style of house.
Electronic music keeps on re-inventing itself, but we owe Kraftwerk and Giorgio a huge debt of gratitude.
Thanks mate!
I need to replay lol.
I hate Windows 10 also
My favorite was Windows xp.
But 1 time in my life i didd try
to get linux on my pc...so that
was the end of my pc and i will never
try again.
And about the music..sometimes when
you are messing arround in your daw without the plan to make a track .
The best tracks starts there i think.
Spontane.
Thanks again. I run Kubuntu 20.10 with Plasma 5.24 and to run windows 8 I use Qemu as I have replaced Oracles Virtual box. it is much smoother. Linux takes a bit of patience. I have been using it since 2006 and have drifted back to KDE and Plasma and love the fact I can customize it to look amazing. but it can be some work, especially on the audio side. But it has given new life to this old laptop. In fact, I don't even use a hard drive, I am using USB drives. I agree with you about not having a plan can sometimes spur creativity. I like Eno's Oblique strategies in the studio. when stumped it is cool to draw a random card. Sometimes it will say, par exemple, ''express the color blue in music...'' To try that can sometimes make some really cool experimental sounds that can lead to ideas for the future and a more cohesive song with those new paradigms. Thank you as always for your kind and thoughtful words.
The lead at 1:36 sounds great. There are some pretty cool undertones throughout. I really like 3:12-3:52. The way the track decays into something entirely different gives very nice movement. Great track.
Thanks, Heath. This was a pure DJ exercise so I could re-establish my VST automation on my DAW. The ending from 3:12 to 3:52 is more of a breakdown so a DJ could mix it into another tune but uses sounds played earlier in the tune. that lead at 1:36 was a cool lead and a nod to chip-tune. I am glad u liked it.
Ok it was a lot of work but be happy that you diddnt lost anything like i didd.
Then you want to smash your head against the wall lol.
But after all that work you still had enough energy to make this great track.
Well done.
Thanks, Rita. It was frustrating, but I wanted to put the system back together in the way that would work best for me. I got rid of Windows 10 and put Windows 8 back on using a Qt-based VM system called Qemu. Runs so much smoother now. I wasn't planning on making a song, I had just wanted to re-create my VST plugins (I like automation) and as I was working it out, this little gem popped out. Making music is my release, my zen garden. My only loss was the original acid files, but I have all the waves and Mp3s. Glad u liked it.

Description : Unofficial preview* of my upcoming first produced track named Therapy. Litterly a cut out of the track. Uploaded with first thought of letting it hear to a fellow Looperman member for a possible collab later on.
Comments are welcome tho!
About the preview, after the drop will start to another semi drop and with an harder more rawish main chorus part behind. Everything is as good as done now and being checked by demo listeners for response and feedback before getting a last hand at mixing&mastering.
Description : My first house song (on looperman). It's actually mix of progressive and dutch house. Hope you'll enjoy this! :) If you have time you can leave feedback, it's always appreciated!
Description : Ugly ass witch house beat that isn't technically a house beat. (The Drum Track is by LM's Danke.) The Track's based on an older beat of mine with the same name. This version's half as long & not as busy. The Synths are Synthmaster, Massive, Dark Keys & Creep Piano. And of course, It wouldn't be a Clickbait Cabaret beat without nine zillion FX plugins. Pretty sure all of them are on this beat.
Description : Funk House/Disco inspired by Daft Punk
No Samples used
Instruments:
Various vintage synths
Kontakt libraries: Ilya Efimov Telecaster for guitar, Session Horns Pro, Chris Hein Strings, NI Guitars
Vocals: Plogue Chipspeech & Alter Ego
Description : check out janimifsson for these vocals
learning how to do house
good vocal effects
terrible drums
couldnt find a melodic loop to fit the track
figured out the key
the harmony basically matches the melody
probably in some dorian scale or something so
have to learn about that
the drums are my weakest point
good at the start but awful after the beat drop
please comment any songs to listen to to learn drums in this style
any advice please comment
Description : Melodic Progressive House with the lyrics by Mr.Shammi (visit his account here for incredible nice acapellas!). The ref is in Melbourne-Bounce-Style.
Description : Update: So this was the looper tune that started it all for me on this site. Hard to believe it was Over 10 years ago. This tune carries the ethos I bring to music...interesting, always change the genre mid-flight and you won't see what's coming next. Also cool to see the early comments and who is still around as well. (#Feeling retro tonight) Orig: Trance-step tune that changes direction a few times
Description : EDM song with cliche "Animal" drop. Let me know if you would like the big kicks, claps, or drop synth. (only ones I can give out) Key of F# minor. Made with Ableton Live 9 Suite.
