Description : I don't know. It is what it is. Some might like it, some might not. I don't think there's going to be any middle ground. Let me know where you land. Headphones suggested. Now, sit back, get comfy and hit play. See you on the other side...if you even listen all the way to the end.

Man....this literally has all the traits that I want my current project to have - a story to tell that is Epic scope, maximum ear candy, and Raw Emotion. You have been the standard that I Try to reach with my own work, I expect no less. Thanks for keeping me inspired dude.
I'm glad you like this one. It was kind of an experimental thing that mostly worked for me. I learned a few things in the process that I took with me on to other tracks.
It's always cool to hear that I can influence someone else's work. It's very encouraging. Thank you for that.
Well mister Valve...i was almost in shock when 0:34 starts lol.
Most of the times im that softy woman buttttt.... When Rita becomes angry???
Then i listen agressive music with this kind of ritme and now i can listen yours.
I love that switch at 4:13.
Well done mister.
I have to agree. That 0:34 part does kind of jump in out of nowhere. I made the song and it still kind of gets me. It's like when toast pops out of the toaster. I know it's coming, but it still startles me.
Well, hopefully you don't become angry very often. But, for when you do, a good portion of my music is perfect for those days. That's one thing I've never claimed to be...a light hearted, up-beat happy music kind of guy!
Thank you for stopping by and giving a listen and for such a kind comment.
Hexenfick! Brutal intense, well mixed, nice breakdowns. 3:55 nice phaser effect. Throat singers, white noise, chopped vocals (is that Patricia Edwards all chopped up?) Insane kick, reminds me of early Tresor techno from berlin. https://youtu.be/Lv3f5sEe1Hw?t=657
First thing I did was check out the vid. That's a pretty hard set. I dig it. That's kinda, sorta the kind of kick that inspired this. I used to listen to a lot of Rotterdam Hardcorpse. Tons of big-ass distorted kicks in that.
That is not Patricia Edwards. Panned to the right, that is actually an Islamic call to prayer layered under the throat singing. On the other side is a vocal track of some chick pretending to be a witch that I ran through the Ohmicide distortion plug in. With her voice and background ambient noise it has a lot of white noise to it. I thought it sounded kind of...trippy and a little creepy. It's actually the same vocal track I used in my "Cathedral Of The Witch" from back in 2017.
Not necessarily my cup o' but in a way I like it because it reminds me of something that would be in the animated movie Akira or something along that line of cinema. It has it's dark moments during the slower, quieter parts, cool layering of sounds during those times, creative. So yeah, 2 thumbs up!
Wow, I haven't thought about Akira since the 90s! I might have to watch that one again. It's been so long it would be like watching it for the first time all over again.
I know this isn't your prefered style, so I always appreciate it more when you stop by.
I don't think I can make a tune without dark elements. It's just...how I do!
I'm going to dispute your headphone suggestion.
This track should be listened to on a system with
the biggest speakers available to get the full effect
of that Bass and Drum.
Himalayan/Mongolian throat vocals?.?.?
I've had that throat vocal sample sitting in my files for years. I never knew what do with it. I honestly don't remember where it's from. Himalayan, Mongolian, Tuvian? I really don't remember. But it works here. At least I think so, anyhow.
head phones are a MUST, its a journey and a half. that beat kicks your face in and that ringing chop is Nosferatu calling the devil, this is rip your soul out and stamp on it barefoot broken broken glass and chained up, its pulsating venom blows your mind the risers and percs and vox add to your journey to hell, everybody thinks they going to heaven, hahahahahaha:))))

Dimestop, thanks man. I take it you like this one.
I've been in a bit of a slump. This is the first new, fully original track I've made in a while. I'm glad it's off to a good start. We'll see how it continues, huh?
Thanks for listening, and commenting. I appreciate it.
Take care.

Description : Feel free to check out the video on YT as well (Alan McLaren Project - Upside Down) of this 6min journey from electronic to rock with some psychedelic moments...
This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.

Description : Far out mid-tempo fat beat deep chillout grooves with Eastern/Arabic and slightly menacing vibes, huge delayed synth bass and a great palette of psychedelic layered and intricate sounds (mostly synths) and a stirring, epic feel. Even has guitar solo section reminiscent of some 80s power rock which is then followed by a brief synth harp solo. I began making it straight after staying round the flat of the flute player from the legendary Ozric Tentacles - easily the greatest ever space rock band. I made this in about 2001 and still think it might be my best track (and it's nice and short, for a change). My production skills were much weaker in those days (no EQ, compression or mastering used here) but, somehow, this one turned out pretty much just right. Feel free to disagree. Now sit back and get ready to trip extremely far out. If you manage to return, let me know how that trip was...
Description : Got some spare time finally...just started on some random ideas basically (lets say kygo meets alan walker). A blend of dubstep, edm, downbeat, tropical etc.
It's still a work in progress, so i would appreciate your honest inputs. Thanks to all those whose loops I have used in here, sorry I don't have time to search them out.
Edit-added some more filthy sounds from my previous tracks and gave it some ending. Advice will be helpful.
