Description : I think Ben (Our resident BringerofDoom) has been rubbing off on me. Wanted to get back to my more technical, proggy side with this one.
It's tempting to over-explain it here. But you know what? I'm not gonna do that. Not going to tell you anything. Maybe except that one of my friends described it as, and I quote: “A Mike Oldfield fever dream.”

An amazing track, one of the best I've heard in a while. Fantastic keyboards, I could see this being used on a modern soundtrack for the movie Metropolis.
Thanks so much man, you are FAR too kind. That being said, I've never seen Metropolis so I have no idea what I'd be soundtracking. Still, I'll take it lol!
how did i miss this, great track Cam love the building intro its packed with tension the percs are great the organ is spot on, love the vibe of the melody Pink Floyd ish its dreamy mate great mix
Well this was an epic trip and just when I was trying to get to sleep! I was expecting guitars given the talk of prog rock but instead got some rather tasty keys. There's something psychedelic about a hammond organ isn't there? Fine work man, sustains that interest and tension all the way through. Cool percs too.
Hey Chris, thanks so much man! Oddly, I first encountered the Hammond Organ in a rocky-jazz context. So its always had prog associations in my mind but you're right, it's probably the most important instrument of the psychedelic age. Thanks for the encouragement and the listen!
ah, had to put off listening for a couple days. and as this about caps a bout 4 hrs of catching up on the loop, o god damn man i know why i am here. ezekiel’s flaming flying saucers as filmed by werner herzog!!
that bass comin over me at 1.21 conjoined with the organ and drumming, the sequencer and stringpads and strings, the buzzing electronics, the mounting ecstatic bloodthirsty rush, i am a werewolf on the moon.
this is thrilling music, cam.
D*mn, you've outdone even yourself with the imagery this time my friend. "Ezekiel's flaming flying saucers as filmed by Werner Herzog." Never in my wildest imagining would I have come up with that lol.
Thanks so much for the listen Mike, it's always greatly appreciated!
Wow to you.
I just hear great music this days on LM.
This one is also beautiful.
I see the indians dancing arround the fire together with the riverdancers together as 1 big show lol.
Man, as Wayne said, this has some incredible tension in it, with a great build throughout. I love music that literally takes me somewhere, that touches something deep inside and this one does that for me. While I can hear the Oldfield reference, I think this one is all Cam. What a wonderful journey, thanks for sharing it with all of us. Outstanding work Cam, I hope all is well.
Bear, you are far too kind. But I'm so glad this track made you feel something. I love the intellectual/conceptual side of music but at the end of the day what I love most is music's ability to make me feel things. So, thank you, your comment means a lot.
This has a native american feel to me but updated with more modern sounds. The keys are fantastic. There's a certain amount of tension in the song that gives the song energy thru the whole track. Punchy and impactful.
Oh hey Wayne! Haven't seen you around for a while, hope everything is going well down your way. Thanks as always for the comment. I didn't consciously think of native american music at any point but I can see why you did. I thought about chickening out and switching the taiko drums for a drum kit actually but I'm glad I didn't.
Wow Cam, or should I call you Mike?
My friend this is what I mean by a piece of true music.
Wow, it is a brilliant competition.
You never disappoint mate.
Great job.
Well done.

Ha! No, I have no desire to be Mike Oldfield. Don't really want to have a nervous breakdown and go live with sheep in a mountain cottage lol. (I'm not kidding, actually happened to the poor guy) Still, as ever you're far too kind Maj but I appreciate it.
Mike Oldfield? Okay, you can find them in there. But not only. I think there are a lot of other musicians in this work. If you look at parts of the keyboard track for yourself, there might be some parallels to the Doors. As already mentioned here, other parts are reminiscent of Yes. It's almost a homage to the progressive rock scene of the 80's and 90's. Well done. Greetings Manuela
Well, I'm a massive prog-head and was a child of the nineties. So that makes a lot of sense. I also love Ray Mazarek's playing so The Doors comparison is extremely flattering. Thanks so much Manuela!
Well mate if someone is going to rub off on you Ben (or Bod) is a very fine and pretty creative choice and this track is wonderful, deeply rhythmic and percussive with lovely melodic flourishes too. If Yes and Pink Floyd collaborated to make a river dance track it might sound like this. A very nice trip indeed : )
Cam honestly for me this has a river dance vibe. I’m loving the movement and the heart of the matter is the percussion interwoven with the melody. You provided a solid listen and a big thanks for sharing your talent.
Thanks so much Mark. The samples are Japanese Taiko drums, so the riverdance connection is not one I would've ever thought of. Now that you've said, I can't unhear it lol.

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
