Description : I was listening to Pictures of Matchstick Men by Status Quo a month ago and decided to check out a few more tunes by these guys when I ran into Down, Down and this song, loved both instantly. Pre punk I would call this track from 1972. All guitars are my new Les Paul Jr. Versatile guitar for just having one pickup.

Hey Mate
Crystal Clear right of the bat, very nice drive, notice under punk but wasn't what I was expecting admittingly I'm not one to listen to punk music so didn't really know what I was going to get lol, excellent track to my ears, I would say one of your best vocals on this too my friend. even though I like all your vocal tracks, but this one stands out for sure, sorry not been here much Wayne, heaps of issues with my better half, but just did a new piece dedicated to my better half so thought would upload to site. MASSIVE FAV and downloaded...Much Respect Wayne...mosaic.
My version is a little more garage band that the original version. This was done in '72, just before people had had enough and wanted a drastic change musically and I think songs like this led the way with it's driving guitars and vocals. I had only heard this for the first time about 6 weeks ago and it just struck me as punk in it's basic form before the guitars got a lot thicker. It's a fun song, great lyrics but a tough one for me to sing both parts in this key, Bb.
Aha Status Quo, a great band and I have to say one of my fave songs by them is "The Wanderer" always one I can rock out to, I have to say you are doing this one so much justice & never disappoint whatever you sing. A super rocking! tune indeed, brilliant work on the track and much enjoyed! Kudos!
That's him, Wayne! Just like I know and love him. Uncompromising old school rock. The singing and music are just great! I am looking forward to more. Kind regards, Manuela.
That Death in Vegas track is so similar to Matchstick Men, how did they not get sued for copyright? It's a neat track but way too close for comfort in my opinion, lol.
I've been checking the Quo a lot on youtube, so many cool tracks, lots of energy in their songs. And so much live stuff posted, they put on a show!
great track Wayne, The Quo's are great and i too cant understand why they never made it big in the US. Francis Rossi and the boys still rock tho.
great playing and vocal as always, authentic vibe and another really good listen for me.
I've known Pictures of Matchstick Men since I was a kid and even as I grew older I still had never heard any other tracks by these guys on the radio or on an album owned by any friends.
It's fun to stumble on some great classic rock tracks by an artist that surprises you with their songs other than their big hit.
I tried keeping the guitars more on the clean side like the original. My new Epiphone Les Paul Jr can give the clean rock tone in so many ways, always loved this classic guitar.
Ha! That's funny and a compliment, tell her thanks! The more I check them out the more I'm surprised they never made more of a mark on US radio. Really only Matchstick Men was played over here.

Description : This is a tune I arranged entirely from loops and added in some of my own guitar playing at around 1:05.
It is basically a fast punk rock tune. Hope you like it,
Randy
Description : produced this track myself. its kind of a mix of pop-punk and hyperpop. im looking to work and grow with producers/artists who can create similar vibes. also yes, this is me singing on it. its already released on all platforms
Description : Here is Cthulhu with an iridescent punk crest made of tentacles jumping and drooling while playing the first song of his concert in the R'Lyeh Ultradimensional Arena on the occasion of the emergence from the waters. An electropunk-inspired song. Your comments are always very welcome.

I certainly hope so, from a personal point of view of course, he.

The Wanderer, great Dion song. I've heard their version, more rocked up than the original.
This was easy enough to cover and a great fun song.
Thanks Angelus!

These "inspired by Gibson" Epiphones are a steal for the price they are charging and the quality of these guitars. The P 90 Pro pickup is hot!

To be honest, I think it works today as well, it's just a great track.

Good to see you again!

S.Q. and that LP is the basis of everything ... :-)
Fistbump,
Danke
Thanks man but the brilliance comes from Rossi and Young.
Gotta say I love this guitar, the neck feels right and the tones I'm getting through my tweed Fender Bronco amp(direct in) works well with it.
Take care!

I love status quo they used to get slagged off for the simple chords but they were effective and they had some real good tunes.
great track Pal.
