Description : A simple tribute to this wonderful kryptonite in our lives that we all love so much. But actually more of another exercise in design and vocal recording.

Hello Micky
You sure know how to create noticeable tracks of this genre. I felt the mixture of soul and funk to my ears and i enjoyed your voice that is the real clue of this excellent attempt. Everything sounded meticulously crafted. As you describe, you are on your own and this is a really difficult task.
My regards, Anthony
waka waka that beat is infectious i love your mix and dig that ooomph in the kick and bass. the layers are great separated and never fighting each other, very clear.
I never noticed your fabulous range. its a producers dream. each octave you present, got its own soul.how your baritone sound and tenor and whats going on with your falsetto . its clear and smooth some jamiroquai voodoo. love from a banana
That groove is so nice, the opening almost had me fooled for a mac miller beat. Love that bassline, and those vocals especially, very lush sounding with nice space around them. Lyrics are chef's kiss too, can very much relate!

Hi 500cc, I didn't do much to the voices. First I sing all the voices individually, normally and also falsetto. On each of the 3-4 tracks (for each part) I add an EQ, then a compressor, then I send it to buses with platinum reverb and stereo delay, behind which I also add another EQ for the low end cut. I only lowered the formants a little on the lead voice in the verse part. That's all. Glad you liked it.
Cheers,
Micky
Hints of Jamiroquai - love electric guitar in 2nd half. A good groove and catchy. I did wonder what adding another guitar in the first half in some slightly contrasting form, would do - me and my imagination! KayOS from Vintage Nights Nice One Micky
Hello KayOS, I'm glad you liked the track. Wow, Jamiroquai... flattering comparison.
I took a look at your profile and noticed that you're a friend of the Berlin School. Imagine, back in the day I actually saw TD live, or rather just heard them. There's a lovely little forest stage outside our town with a beautiful pond in front of it and a kind of amphitheater with about 500 seats. They played there. We were still kids and weren't allowed in, but we hung around in the forest until dusk to listen to the fantastic sounds. We'd never heard anything like that before and probably thought the UFOs were coming... Ahhhh... thank you for listening and the kind words.
Cheers, Micky
Your vocals always sound amazing to me, in terms of performance and production. It's a great track, lots going on but all on point and adding to the cruisy vibe. Fsntastico.
Hello Chris, I'm very pleased that you like the track and the vocals. Yes, it's true, I have a tendency to pack a lot into it, and thank God it works in most cases. In fact, I'm working on doing less, leaving things more open, and I keep finding that it's much easier to pack the tracks full than to be frugal. That's probably due to the way I've worked so far, building the tracks. I would need to take a completely different approach. Producing a pop song isn't magic if you know the rules. I want to get to the point where I produce away from the rules, outside the norm, and that's certainly a long way off. You're way ahead of me there, Chris, although I'm sure you'll dispute that...
Thank you very much for your praise.
Cheers,
Micky
HelloMicky.....just listened to this track....very very good job my friend. It's got that Larry Graham feel in my opinion. It's a dam good track and a keeper.
Oh yes, a long time ago I was actually lucky enough to see Graham Central Station live with the original line-up. I was left breathless at times... Thank you, Glenn, for listening and for the compliment.
What a fantastic move Micky! Kinda chill/rnb/pop mix with outstanding vocal flying and that humble but crative instrumentals on it ...
that groovy pulls like a sled puller in Alaska ...
huge one,

Hello, thank you, I'm very pleased that I was able to reach you with the track. I really like your work, so your nice comment means a lot to me. Always very much appreciated.
Fistbump,
Micky
Seems some others have already addressed issues with the mix, so I'll just say this - I genuinely enjoyed the patterns and movements of this song. It's very easy on the ears and after a busy day today I did enjoy winding down with this tune!
Hey Brado, I'm delighted that I was able to give you some wellness with the track. Always at your service! Oh yes, I corrected the slightly weak voices after Manuela pointed them out to me. Thank you for listening and for the kind words,
Hey Micky - hitting the straps with this one - soulful gently funky rnb with just a hint of disco - exquisite production and great vocals - love those guitars too
Hey mate, I'm glad you like the track. Especially because sooooo much work went into it. And I'm always particularly happy about nice comments about my guitar. Thank you and
Cheers to down under,
Micky
Hello Micky, why are you asking me who mixes our vocal recordings? It works pretty well for you too. Although the repeating chorus voice is a bit too much in the background for my taste and is therefore a little lost in places. I mean the voice that sings "Music is the mystery..." It is particularly noticeable at around 2:04.
Nevertheless, I really like your exercise *smile
Best wishes Manuela
Of course, you're absolutely right. I have no idea why I missed that, but it's probably a typical problem when you do everything yourself... the distance you need to be able to judge neutrally is lost at some point. But that's the good thing about this portal... there are attentive people like you here to help out.
I've raised the volume of the relevant vocal parts a bit, and I think it should be right now.
Thanks for listening, for reporting and for the nice comment.
Cheers, Micky
Micky from the first beat it has your trademark stamped through it, groovy funky jazzy, vocal always on point, great punchy lines, fantastic space great guitar solo, you could just sing a song of hooks and it would be a hit, and i do always get a heaven 17 vibe, not the same but it has influenced your style i know and i love the structure in German music your sound design its a really authentic sound mate and your a pleasure to listen too, super cool
Greetings, Oeh this tune has a sexy vibe to it. I love it. Feels a bit jazzy and soul like to me. I dig it. Prety groovy indeed. Even the vocal suits well in this song. So yeah very well done. And lucky you. Its one for the favs section as well. So very well done indeed. Have a good one & Keep on creating, Verdi

Description : R&B track inspired by Brody Brown's work on Bruno Mars' new album. Brown would be entirely unimpressed by this track, of course. He's a really fine musician. I've left the electric piano lines that are meant for vocal parts in the track. If ever I found a lyricist and and singer that could do something with this track, I'd produce a backing track version without those parts. Lots of room for a good singer to build on the melody ideas and make it their own.
Description : UPDATED better reverb and warmer studio sound
hi guys, my vocal again on another of Morash' tracks, R&B Hip-Hop. its very delicate, it is a protest song of sort
